At the darken of the light,
When the day is taken by night,
I lay down and hear myself weep
For long until I fall into sleep.
(Time seems so slow...)

No one can hear my silent scream,
When I'm taken by the Dark's gloom.
And all I do is lay down and dream.
Dream for everything to end soon.
(The Dark is all I know...)

It feels like I can fly above
You, when I'm dreaming of love.
Even when you're trying to bring
Me, back down to Earth to sing.
(The wings grow...)

You said my wings were tied.
I still gave it my all and tried,
When I believed I would prevail,
I searched hopeful to no avail.
(I lost my balance...)
