*SIGH* Is it hypocritical...?

That now even I am getting sick of the violence and 'evil' and 'blood' and all that stuff that has been spewing out this last several months?
Especially considering on Deviantart I'm participating (and moving to the second round) in "Blood Sport 2"?

I think I'm actually getting tired of all this violence and negativity. I don't even feel like going in the forest anymore at this point. Crazy as it sounds I played my secret new deer a few days ago for the first time... and right away it was met with 1.) Being attacked by an adult deer, 2.) ignored by others, 3.) shown hostility, all within the first 5 minutes of play? (And all without provolking others!)

The constant need to RP in forest is starting to wear me out too... It's like... you can't play OOC anymore. You can't walk up to others and just have fun, unlike it used to be.

We need an OOC day or something. 8/

I mean, I'm at a point where I half want to shoot down my own "Darkweaver", "Ebony"(even though she's not caused any trouble yet), and "Spill", just to somewhat lower the amount of evil deer. 8<

Seriously, I get my fill of blood and violence on DA right now... Do I really need to also deal with it on what was supposed to be a peaceful game? Can we not turn it down for a day anymore?

-Just tired of it.

And I know I'll be flamed now.

Oh god yes I know.

I have NO idea what happened to the art/writings lately.

I have restrained myself to not post one of my stories I felt was too graphic and then I sign in and it's like..everything is gore.

TEF has a new fetish me thinks. >>;

I think so too. :/ Heck,

I think so too. :/

Heck, right now I'm starting a new little story that won't be violent... just to BREAK THE MOLD that has replaced the old... and prove you don't need violence and blood to make a good story.

It's very possible to have violence/evil/ill intent without being *graphic* about it. I mean look at the evil kaoori challenge story I did. That was horrible and I didn't have to describe what went down because it was *implied* well enough.

I always think that The

I always think that The Collector is a nearly perfect example of Evil that is suited to the Forest, as a side note: In-character, his actions are confusing and, once you understand, maybe a touch disturbing. They use a legitamate type of action you can use in the forest that works and makes sense. But out-of-character, you can't help but laugh at his preffered form of "evil." I have a lot of respect for that.

Sorry to go back to the topic

Sorry to go back to the topic of sparring. I understand that it's hard to discern sparring from actual fighting, but I can kind of tell the difference a little... I've watched a couple deer spar before, and obviously if they're in a flower patch, they're definitely sparring. xD

But I think actual sparring appears... a little more organized? From what I've seen, it's also pretty quiet. When two deer are in an actual fight, it's very vocal and they don't stay in one place. They charge at each other a lot, some of them even start chasing the other. But sparring (and this is just what I've witnessed in the Forest) is hardly vocal, the two deer are closer together and they don't move around, and there's more rearing and lowering antlers than stomping. I notice that when deer are in a fight, they stomp a lot. I don't think that's done so much during a sparring match.

But I could be totally mistaken. This is just what I've noticed, and so far I think it's pretty accurate. <3

Fin, I'm actually just as

Fin,

I'm actually just as loud as when i'm play sparring as when i'm actually fighting with someone.

The main difference is, as you pointed out, the movement. When two deer are 'fighting' theres a good chance one is trying to run away and getting chased around. There can be 3-4 other deer chasing/fighting trying to get it to stop and the aggressive deer just keeps at trying to get the other one.

Where as sparring they're in one spot and just having at each other. It's really planned out, there is good space between them, and they're not crowding each other. If another deer runs in to stop them they usually stop and wait until that deer leaves to continue sparring OR move and spar away from them.

At least that is my personal behaviour and what I have witnessed.

I stomp a lot, but I try to

I stomp a lot, but I try to break it up with laughing as a way to end the spar, and nuzzles all around. I don't plan it out much, but I do try to make the antler-lowering happen at nearly the same time, for good pictures: it's like they actually lock.
