Great, thank you. I'll be using Bear, he needs some new interaction's after the things that have happened to him.
The old stag dipped his leg into the icy pond, feeling the stings boil and wane. He sighed in relief as they slowly withered, before he sat on the grassy floor, examining the leg that had got caught in the nettles. It was strange, for such a stag with such fur, to be hurt and annoyed by the small, vile plants. But now, as he looked at his leg, he realized that bits of his fur were missing, revealing pale skin underneath.
He was getting really old, for his liking.
The piebald had been in a mood inbetween 'good' and 'bad' lately. Things weren't to be considered either, obviously. She felt inbetween herself; in yet none of it touched the smooth features of her face. No worries, no sorrow... just a calm expression, a light smile, even. Her stride was slow and collected, and the sturdy body moved with surprising ease over the ground. The azure eyes were keen, but not looking at anything in particular.
Soon, she passed by the pond; and did indeed notice a figure resting there. Her eye-whiskers frown, and for a second, she stood in plain view of the stranger; but only to soon walk again; leaving any greeting up to him. After all, this face was a bit unfamiliar...
The giant gazed into the glistening pool, in wonder of all it's strange creatures in the depths. The exotic koi were easy to spot, there shiny scales shimmering as they swam near the surface, but below was a different story, a story only Bear can remember.
The stag shivered, no, he would not return to his suicidal state, things were different now, things were better. Taking one last glance, he got to his feet, feeling the old bones creak inside him. He sighed, remembering the days when he was young, free to go were he pleased. As he turned, a new scent filled his nose, a strange, but pleasant scent. Turning his gaze to see such a doe of unique features. He could see the bright feathers that belonged to her head, and the necklace that lay on her neck. He didn't mind meeting new people, as long as they were polite.
"Greetings, stranger from a far! " he called, slowly bowing his head like a gentleman.
Aurora already had been turning from the stranger; ready to walk away, when his voice reached her ears. She pulled them back, to follow the origin of the sound; and soon shifted her stout body back into his direction. Her ears were pulled forth now, and her azure glance mustered him once more.
No... he wasn't -too- familiar. Perharps an acquaintance, a brief one? Possible. A tender smile made its way to the piebalds muzzle while she inwardly shrug her shoulders. Might as well get to know him. Her voice was ever calm and collected, but there was a welcoming note in it.
The stag felt a little embarrassed by his abrupt greeting. When he was young, he was very naive, and would greet any deer he could see. Perhaps that childish trait lived on inside him. Well, a little greeting couldn't hurt anybody, could it.
Bowing his head once again, he did a little sign with his hoof, a little gesture as if to say, May I join you?
Aurora chuckled at his sudden silence; but read not quite much into it; instead, she merely lowered her head and said, with the same soothing voice: "By all means."
Hrn. Actually, she had planned to take a walk, but that might as well wait. Instead, she lowered her sturdy body a bit forward, and let the hind legs slide to her side to take a sit, gazing at the broad pond in front of her. Soon, her head tilted back to evaluate her company's reaction; whatever it may be.
He smiled, feeling his heart warmth my such a pleasant stranger. He went over and sat beside her, feeling the heat of the sun above resonate onto his creamy fur. He examined his acquaintance, her black and white fur, her structure, her azure like eyes. She seemed pleasant enough, and reminded her of old friends.
"So, my dear, what is your name?" he asked in the most polite way he could conjure.
Aurora's expression shifted once more; and a few more of the smooth features were wrinkled by the smile of her muzzle that reached her eyes. She'd always been welcoming enough, although recently, she didn't have much reason to...
"I am Aurora. Who are you, I wonder?", she asked, with azure eyes examining the creamy fur. It told of an older age; and the piebald wondered how long he'd been in the forest, but no such notion of it was visible on her expression.
Aurora, what an exotic name. Bear said it over and over again in his head, feeling it's unusual lyrical. It suited her very much.
"I am Bear, a name I have learnt to live with for many, many years, but it is not my real name," he replied. He was so old, and he hated it.
Bear. Aurora's eye-whiskers furrowed for a moment, in ponder. To be named like a predator, while being its prey did seem a bit odd. Questioningly, she then raised one of her eye-whiskers, and her voice was a bit more matter-of-fact now.
"In that case, I wonder, why do you still use it? Do you not know your real name?"
The giant looked to the ground now, in hearing her question. He did not know why he still used such a name, but yet, he liked it, Bear meant strong, wise and caring, but to him there was always something deeper.
"I do not know my human name, my past life is so much as a blur to me I'm afraid. I have grown old with this forest, and if it calls me Bear, I shall be Bear," he replied, keeping his tone as light and kind as he could.
"Hrm, I see.", Aurora said, but not without a ponderous way. Surely, if anyone got used to a name, changing it would be... odd. "Still, that seems like quite a passive attitude. You could also seize the matter; and give yourself a name of your own, instead of letting it be chosen for you." Her tune was, again, questioning - Aurora always had been an adamant defender of one's own destiny. If the desire was great enough, anything could be achieved, more or less.
"I can't think of another name that would suit me, really. Such unique names many citizens here have, but for me, I'm Bear," he added. The stag would love a new name, a new name for his old age. The name Bear brought back too much memories.
A small irritation made him look at his leg, realizing the horrible stings had returned, swelling his leg.
"It certainly seems like a difficult feat to change one's own very name; but that should not make one shy away from it, should it be the desire I wonder," she smartily replied, with a playful tune in her voice, "Have you even pondered about other names?"
Her gaze followed his down to the leg, but Aurora chose not to speak of it. From experience, concentrating attention such spots; for the leg did look swollen; would only make it worse. At least, she wouldn't be first to mention it, anyway. Instead, her gaze quickly went back to his face, and she smiled again. Perharps a bit lighter than before; but the eyes nontheless didn't lose any of their welcoming attitude.
He thought for a moment, subsiding into the deep mind. A new name was a challenge, and yet again, he had to ask,
"I can not think, my dear. My old mind has been wary this day, and has no room for such things. You shall fashion me a name." he asked, a little anxious that the doe might find it strange.
Aurora blinked a few seconds in surprised, and then let out a sudden, hearty laughter. It betrayed no mockery at all; but rather a sound coming directly from the heart. "I cannot, Bear. I hardly know you, and it'd be brazen of me to dare and give you a new name. Besides, a name is not only a sound for one to be called by. For me at least, it is not. It's also part of who you are. I, by all means, cannot dare to put your being into a single word. I'm sorry." Aurora genuinely smiled in the end, and gave the stag a long, calm look. No, she couldn't do that.
The giant laughed with her, seeing that what he had said was such a silly thing to do. However, he trusted this doe, he could see it in her eyes, such warmth and passion. He wanted to know her more, for this meeting very much reminded him of the night he met Aria, the sweet doe from the glorious pine wood.
"Then perhaps you can help, for I'm sure a doe like yourself has many great idea's in that wonderful mind of yours." he replied.
"Well, I'd try to help you, but I doubt I am much of a help. A name isn't just something you can come up with, just like that. You'll need to find it out yourself, it is /your/ name." Her tone had become more serious; and the smile had dropped a slight bit. Not enough to speak of a stern expression, albeit enough to show the piebald was honestly concerned with chosing her words carefully. Yet still the corners of her muzzle were wrinkled in her patient smile which she dropped so rarely.
//I'm afraid I have to cut this short, for I'm a little busy at the moment (and tired) It has been an absolute pleasure RPing with you, my dear. I think I might add Aurora to Bear's relationship list, if that is alright with you?//
He understood, looking around his surrounding's for enlightenment, but nothing came. Realizing that his irritating leg was becoming more painful, he knew that he would need to return to his medicine stock and heal it.
"Bah, I must go," he said, a little sad to leave the doe. Getting up from his spot, he gave the doe one final nod and said,
"I would very much like to meet you again, Miss Aurora. Until then!" he added, before walking off towards his home.
"Ah, yes... good luck with that leg. Swift recovery." She perked up an eye-whisker in a witty way. Indeed, it had not escaped the keen eyes that it looked a bit odd. However, she herself remained on the ground; dipping her head in a goodbye-manner.
"Until we meet again, Mister."

Thank you for your lovely company today. It's always a pleasure to talk to you, piebald. The Irish settled down next to her on the sunny ground. Please forgive that I visited a friend earlier. It had to be done. And oh we should forget the awkward situation this morning.
Aurora had been sleeping for quite some time now, dozing peacefully in the sunny ground. It wasn't without constant snoring, though, but somehow, it just added to the image of calmness she seemed to radiate. As Alain's huge body settled down beside her, she woke with w slight startle and tilted her head up, to face him. Two, three, four blinks of the eye - oh, it is Alain. Slightly laggy, a smile wrinkles her smooth facial features. "Oh my, I must have dozed off, forgive me." Rather obvious that one. "I must thank you though, I enjoy yours as well. And it's alright, I hope your stay with your friend was pleasant." The smile widened to a mellow grin. "As you like, then, but have no fear, I don't bother about it, at all." Truth be told, there was little that bothered the piebald really hard, ever.
