Peritin woke and stretched in his log nest. He scented someone nearby and glanced over at the ruins to see a stranger doe. Always eager to make a friend, he happily trotted down and sat a little distance away, childishly thinking even sleepy deer need a pal.

The little fawn perked up and grinned. The doe's claws and frill were intriguing, not to mention the tail. He didn't often speak, and words worked slow with him, but he said "...Hiya!"

He noticed Rhoda had curled up to nap, so he settled down aswell, only to stare at the emerald a bit more.
Even without conversation, Peri was happy to simply doze with Rhoda.
