Roleplay with Maggie

sodapopqueen's picture
I've been meaning to get around to this. Busy with starting highschool (its easier than I expected...), and now that I have a bubble of free time I'll go ahead and start this.

First, a few ground rules.
1. Any super big, life-changing moves (severe injury, death, etc) have to be okayed by whoever you're doing it to beforehand. Don't know if its important enough? Ask anyway.
2. No excessive cussing. This is a magical forest. Lets keep it that way.
3. No elitespeak/thesaurus thumping/wolfspeak. I really can't take you seriously if you call my character a bunch of femurs or a bomb, or call your head a clock.

I'd prefer that if there are going to be multiple roleplayers, that you join the one that's already started. Its easier to keep track of, and I don't know how much time I'll have to type up posts. With my luck, school will explode with projects right after I send this.

I'll be copying and pasting the intro I wrote beforehand after I send this (because Maggie's bio is in my siggie), if its not there yet, you came too early. It should only take a few minutes to code things and slap it up there.

Noticing the worried

Noticing the worried expression on Ultimate's face, Maggie cleared her throat and bent her head to pick up the poppy. With the bright red bloom in her mouth, she smiled awkwardly and nodded her head in the direction of the Ruins. She breathed a sigh of relief out of her nose. That was probably a right move, Maggie thought to herself.
She turned to go to the Ruins, looking at Ultimate to see if he followed.

Ultimate sighed and giggled

Ultimate sighed and giggled as Maggie picked up the flower and smiled while it was still in her mouth. He nodded also and started to tred along side of Maggie. He noticed a couple deer around the ruins looking at the graves.

Maggie looked up as the stone

Maggie looked up as the stone pillars of the Ruins arched over her head. Green threads of ivy twisted in and out of the ancient building. She walked closer, ears pinned back in awe. It never ceased to amaze her how big the Ruins were.
Maggie looked down at the ancient tombstones, and laid the poppy in front of a small one topped with a cross. She blinked, wondering how the humans could worship something other than the Twin Gods. Did they only know of one of the two? Or was their deity something else entirely? "Humans are strange," Maggie said. "They only believe in one god instead of two"--she looked toward a bigger stone, one with a tiny stone human attached to it--"and they nail its image to their tombstones?" Maggie looked at the bright red poppy on the ground and shook her head. She'd never understand humans.

Ultimate nodded. "Yes I think

Ultimate nodded. "Yes I think they are strange too. But everyone can believe in what they want to believe in." he smiled and crouched down by a tombstone that said "To our dearly departed Lairia..." he had a flash of excitement inside him.

Maggie noticed the change in

Maggie noticed the change in Ultimate's mood, felt his excitement shoot from him like electricity. She looked closely at him. "What's wrong?" Her eyes narrowed a little as if she could see right down to what it was if she squinted hard enough.

Ultimate glanced at Maggie with a small smile, "Maggie, I think my mother's name is Lairia!" he jumped up with excitement and pranced around like a fawn. "This isn't her tombstone though, I hope." he chuckled and nuzzled Maggie.

Maggie smiled and hopped upon

Maggie smiled and hopped upon hearing Ultimate's exclamation. She stopped hopping after only a few; she was only half built for prancing and she was more cow than doe. "That's great! Laira's a beautiful name." Maggie looked down at the tombstone, squinting at the wiggly lines. She could barely read. Pictograms were the only things that made any sense, but if she had to explain what they said... she couldn't. They had meanings that were impossible to translate into speech.
"What does it say that makes you remember her?" Maggie's tail swished nervously as she spoke. Was it odd that she couldn't read?

Ultimate turned around and

Ultimate turned around and smiled. "When I first said her name out loud in my mind a doe came out of no where and I could see every bit of her. She had a light blue scale coat but mines green. She had dark blue where pink is on my legs. She had bing blue eyes, large white horns and blue flowers in them." he smiled and flicked his tail back and forth.

Maggie smiled, imagining

Maggie smiled, imagining Ultimate's mother. "She sounds beautiful," she said. Looking around the forest, Maggie half-expected Lairia to jump out and greet her son, as if Ultimate had summoned her. She knew how impossible that was; it was possible that Lairia wasn't alive. But stranger things had happened in the Forest.

Ultimate gave Maggie a soft

Ultimate gave Maggie a soft smile. "I hope she is still alive. Now, all I need to do is find my father." he looked around the ruins once more but nothing caught his eye. "Well, I will have to look later. So, where would you want to go Maggie?" he asked , giving his attention to her.

Maggie shrugged. She looked

Maggie shrugged. She looked around, and walked through the small graveyard to a ledge of stone supporting pillars that held up ivy-tangled arches. Lying down on the stone between two pillars, she said, "I like it here. Its peaceful." She smiled at Ulltimate. "Do you remember anything about your father?" Maggie tilted her head, stared at the ground. "I don't remember my dad at all. I just know that he was one of the stags left after the disease." She shrugged again. "Or so I'm told."

Ultimate smiled. "It is

Ultimate smiled. "It is peaceful hear. I like to come here just to think about things." he laid down text to Maggie. He thought about it for a moment, "I think he was a bit bigger than me now, I believe the mask I have on is his." he stared off into space not knowing that he was looking at Maggie. "Oh! Sorry Maggie I was just deep in thought..." he chuckled and flicked his tail back in forth with embarrassment.

Maggie laughed awkwardly and said, "It's alright, Ultimate." She looked at him. "Your father must have been important to have such a mask."

Ultimate smiled, "Yes he must have been. This is a very neat mask and it makes me look more tough." he did a little pose for Maggie to make her laugh.

Maggie giggled, her ears

Maggie giggled, her ears shaking with the motion. "Yes, very tough!" She barely managed to get out the words. "Maybe he was a warrior... or a king!" Maggie gazed into space, imagining. "I used to pretend that my father was the king of all deer, and that was why he lived." She glanced at Ultimate, embarrassed. "Of course, that's completely ridiculous..." Her voice trailed off. She didn't add that, when she was a calf, it made her feel like the princess of all deer.

(I should code things and make it pretty, but I'm tired, it's late, and I gotta get up early tomorrow Frown )

Ultimate blushed at Maggie's

Ultimate blushed at Maggie's comment. "Thank you Maggie." he laughed and looked at her. "Hmmm I don't know about that but that could be a good possibility..." he nodded in agreement with Maggie's statement. Ultimate thought about Maggie's father being a king. It could be. "Well you never know. He could have been the king of all the deer. Don't feel embarrassed Maggie. It's fine trust me." he gave Maggie a nuzzle on the side of her cheek.

"It's possible, but

"It's possible, but unlikely," Maggie said, feeling her ears get hot as Ultimate nuzzled her. "Didn't you ever wonder what your parents were like? Or why they're gone?" She'd made up dozens of fantasies explaining why she never saw her parents when she was young. Very few made sense.

Ultimate flicked his ears up

Ultimate flicked his ears up at Maggie's question, "Hmm I don't know but I would really like to find out." he looked around them and turned his attention back to Maggie.

(Sorry 4 the short reply I'm so tired this morning)
