HUMAN or DEER, though as of now I'm preferring deer for whatever reason.
currently in the family of Magpies; all is well. though NEVER has been dormant for an unnervingly long time and there have been signs that AZALEA is returning soon, days still continue as normal. the seer CHANSE has recently, albeit in embarrassment, admitted his slight feelings for the German boy, GABRIEL. this, in turn, has sent the golden girl, DEVI, into a bitter mood, due to her lack of luck when it comes to love and even friendships. her mother, ASPEN, snorts and thinks of it as no more than a bother for her family, though her half-sister XYLIA worries that Gabriel's charm and indifference could cause clashing in the family. VIPIN has become slightly sheepish, worrying over his apparent, eventual proposal to his love Her, and his niece CARILYNN [CAL] is attempting to push him into it. they have all been stalking among the Ruins more frequently and, in Devi's case, hanging around or even under the bridge. she has been making forced attempts to regain her usual peppy, flirtatious personality, much to Gabriel's. Chanse's and even Cal's bemusement. Gabriel, being a gargoyle, has often been snoozing during the day and wandering at night. there are several fawns now terrified of him. Never, as per usual, lurks in the birch forest area, hiding rather well for his monstrous size, and seems to be planning something, much to Vipin's and Aspen's worry. Aspen's leg is rather numb, though it pains her now and then and she must grumble and rest it often. Cal's euphoria from her ADHD is finally dying down and she is mellowing out. Chanse's healing abilities are growing in strength and are more well-executed. all is well.
I usually like to go with the flow when it comes to settings and plots and everything; I haven't roleplayed in forever so it might suck BAHAH but don't be afraid to join! I absolutely love meeting new people. and even if you can't pick one of my deer [lolthere'slike9] I can pick one at random xD LET THE GAMES BEGIN

Devi's eyes were strangely metallic in the daylight. they were grey, yes, but for now they glowered and glittered like sad diamonds. they had an odd sheen, as if covered in tears, and if they were no one in particular would be surprised. she was sitting in the Grand Oak, legs folded beneath her, sharpening her antlers out of pure boredom, examining them every once in a while and frowning disdainfully. a few times she paused to brush away a squirrel or bird that had come to watch and glared oppresively at them, seemingly determined to be rude to anything and everything. all Mom did was laugh, she grumbled to herself, in her head, of course; if anyone heard her they would think she was crazy. am I? all I think about is Gabriel. and Chanse. and sometimes Spade. I wonder where Spade is.... truth be told, she hadn't had a decent conversation with him in the longest time. ever since he had started "dating" Faytha, she had been somewhat disgruntled towards him. maybe she was crazy. crazy jealous.
Id like to request Never. I
I shall play as Sheba.
SLAM! The crack of antlers
The crack of antlers hitting aged bark resonated through the Forest. Its origin was an old stump not far from the poppy field, being rammed into by a secretary bird-pelted stag. Ram-like horns proceeded to "ram" into the stump again, sending small wood splinters flying - some even bouncing off the stag's deer mask. None managed to make it towards his gray eyes, luckily.
Spade stepped back and shook his head from the force of his sparring practice, panting some. He'd been at it for a good while; at one point a couple of fawns had stopped to stare. He'd paused then, staring at them from the corner of his eye while waiting for them to grow bored and leave. Luckily, in the way fawns do, they soon got distracted and ran off, Spade returning to his ramming of the stump.
He'd had enough now, though. Maybe he'd take a run to the pond. The long way. That meant passing the Ruins. Maybe he'd even take a lap around the Old Oak on the way if it was empty.
Jumping the beat-up stump, he was off, soon passing the poppies and the stone ruins, the Oak looming up ahead.
He could sense someone in the giant tree, a sort of rubbing sound coming from it. Forget taking a lap around it then--
But wait...
He skidded to a halt.
...that scent was familiar.
Tilting his head, he started forward again, this time at a walk, to get closer to the tree's entrance. Peeking around, he found he was right about who was occupying it. He blinked curiously, calling out softly before hesitating too much would make him change his mind. "Dev...?"
Loverly track since I can't

@PEGA at the sound of a
at the sound of a voice, Devi pulled back so suddenly that her neck cracked and she winced in pain, grey eyes glinting sharply--cheap and hard--in the dark. she had heard the timed beating of something for a while now and it had just stopped; she had assumed it was a stag practicing his sparring or even sparring with another stag and clashing antlers. but now, she realized, it had been her brother Spade, now of whom was standing in the entrance of the Oak, shifting hooves and looking rather perplexed. she should have known. Spade did like to ram against tree trunk and sharpen his antlers and heighten his skills. I was too caught up in myself, haha.
Hi Spade, she answered back, and stumbled to her feet. the tips of her beluga-like antlers had become so sharp that when they grazed the inside of the tree they made a long, flowing mark. she cringed slightly, unaware of how long she had been sitting there, aimlessly sharpening them. I heard you, she said, and gestured to where the stump was.
@FAUNET
it was dark. not the regular kind of dark where if your eyes adjust you can see halfway decent, but it was pitch. yet some could make out a shape jumping over the tops of buildings, but some assumed it was a bird or some even said a large mammal of the sorts. there was occassionally a flash of blue when it's eyes glinted, and most turned to ignore it until it stopped. it wormed it's way down between the seperation of two buildings, moving rather lithely for it's massive size, and then dropped to the ground, tall and hooded against the sky. it was a man, almost seven feet tall, black-haired, unshaven and with the coldest of blue-black eyes. there were even flecks of red, as if to further prove his bloodlust. several weapons were positioned near his waist, that of which included a few knives, a revolver and even what seemed to be some sort of switchblade. anyone that approached him would surely be killed.
really?

Small hooves padded behind larger ones. An unnaturally tall stag and his fawn strode through the birch forest. Well, one strode, the other bounced.
Milky blank eyes scanned the area in thought, then looked back in loving gentleness toward the little one. White and blank met with hollow and black. Vessel looked forward again, but did not move. His ears pricked forward. Listening. No one seemed near.
Ketan bounced up next to him and mimicked his father. He looked up, "Wha's Daddy doin'?"
Vessel gave a small smile, but did not respond. He couldn't. And a a small pang sounded in his heart in regret that he couldn't answer such a simple question. A question so important to a small mind. He nuzzled his son and went back to listening, as if demonstrating. Ketan once again mimicked him, standing still in the midst of a quiet breeze. He giggled slightly in some distraction from a butterfly, and started chasing it. Vessel still stood.
She was near. A familiar warmth filled his chest.

FAAAAAAAAAAAIL.
@FAUNET black eyes turned
black eyes turned sharp. sharper, even. they looked cat-like or wolf-like in the limp sheen of the moon, and with amazing agility he scalled up the building again, grabbing on to pipes and using various cuts and dents as handholds and footholds. as soon as he had reached the roof, a bright, uncomfortable light flared below; a flashlight. it pierced through the alleyway for several silent seconds until turning and dissapearing down the street. the man on the roof grinned roguishly to himself and began lurking in the shadows once more, eventually deciding to climb down again. with a massive leap he fell and released and a gruff sigh, pulling dark hair out of his eyes as he manuevered towards the street. a girl. he smirked again; the girl was tiny, and if he was closer he could assume that she might only reach his waist. he fingered a knife, shielded by his belt, and swaggered out boldly towards her, his unnaturally sharp teeth glinting.
miss! he said, and stopped her, turning her around and staring at her with what appeared to be genuine concern upon his face. what are you doing wandering about so late at night? you could get hurt here. it's awful dark. his smirk turned into a gentle smile. it was frightening just how quickly his demeanor had changed.
@HER ...YEP I WILL. I enjoy starting these things 8D and I assume we're using human KJFDSF
broad shoulders flexed and a blue--the purest of blues--glinted. Gabriel turned his head sharply to look over at the horizon as the sun set, a flaring ball of orange and red and the occasional hint of gold and yellow. his muscles were tightening and his skin was hardening and taking on a gray shade. it wasn't, in the least, a comfortable transformation, but it was quite a bit easier than other shifting he had heard of. werewolves, for one. gargoyles only had to deal with mild discomfort and some stalled reflexes. not to mention having to look down a lot to hide their glowing eyes and huge pupils; during the day his pupils slitted, so he was looking at the ground most of the day. it unnerved people. he couldn't help it, but they didn't know that; he'd only met a few gargoyles in the past, in fact he had met his third only recently, but he assumed it was like this with all of them. they had all been from the Italian clan. brown eyes. blond hair. Elisabetta had just recenty visited him, the second female out of three gargoyles known. she had been kind. understanding and sympathetic, even...
he tossed a stone from hand-to-hand out of sheer boredom, flicking brown hair out of his eyes and glaring down at the glowing street below. where was Code? granted he did often like to worry him, which was likewise in Gabriel's case, but he usually wasn't late. maybe he was just worrying. he did worry a little too much over him.
@RAKU I know right I'm so talented BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWW VESSEL
with a flourish, two peacock-pelted deer jumped along in between the trees of the birch, winding gracefully through the trunks and stopping just as abruptly as they had appeared. one was a doe, slight in build, very small but very beautiful. her eyes were a sharp purple and her mask was that of a sleek magpie, and her hooves were a delicate gold. the stag, albeit a very young stag, was decorated in a similiar manner, and even his eyes were the same, though his right was covered with steely blue hair. he had a doll-like face, very porcelain, and his antlers were jet-black and went straight behind his head. he had an odd way in the fashion he walked, stepping like a doe, looking very feminine and tiny compared to other young stags. he bounced along ahead of the doe that was his mother, calling back come on! every once in a while, giggling and smiling good-naturedly. the pair were so beautiful that is stung slightly to onlookers.
Xylia, for that was the hind's name, laughed and shook her head, adorned with the dulled black antlers of a beluga. they are close, she said, and peered before her at the the shadowy shapes several hundred yards away. Daddy! the porcelain boy, Chanse, called joyfully, running and stumbling towards the shapes, one unnaturally tall, one that of a child. Xylia laughed again and quickened her pace, enjoying the views of the the spotted trees as she passed them.
Sheba paused at his arrival
The stone being tossed
"I didn't mean to be late but I had to cover my scent again." A wrist was brought briskly up to Gabe's nose. "If I smell like cigarette, I'm sorry, but you'll have to get used to it if you really like me so much. I can't have your team mates running after me by smell or I'm going to wake up tomorrow on the floor without an arm in a pool of blood. And since that doesn't sound too flattering, I'm going to risk smelling like a drugged lapidarian." Code wrinkled his nose in distaste towards having to do things like this just to stay settled in a single apartment with one person; but worse and afraid to be said was the fact that these small stunts were probably going to get more extreme and awkward as time passed and the search became much more prompt.
The transition from standing to sitting was swift yet slow, still obviously fearful of falling off the skyscraper's roof. But for Gabe, he'd manage anything--even if the breeze up at that height was bothersome enough for him to keep his hair away from gracing his face with the same hand that had smoothed it out.
Vessel let a smirk come
"Hiiii!" He peered up at Chanse. "Hi Chaaanse! Hi Mummyyy!" Ketan rubbed his pale face across Chanse's chest, then around Xylia's legs as she came closer.
Vessel stepped over their children to meet her. He couldn't stop smiling at how adorable the two boys were. He gave Xylia a loving nuzzle, then looked down at their boys. Looking back, he smirked, and nodded.
They're growing up awfully fast.
Ketan reared and kicked his front legs once before finally calming down in a giggle. "Where Mummy go? Where Mummy and Chanse go?"
The eldest stag smiled again, giving a very silent chuckle. Too fast, it seems.
@FAUNET it does, actually. he
it does, actually. he seemed offended and looked off with a perplexed gaze, studying the still-darkening sky and flicking his wrist calmly. at the breathe of a breeze, the various knives shone silver under his belt as the moon struck them and dissapeared just as quickly as he covered them with his arm, not looking nervous at all, cocking a brow in a peculiar fashion. his teeth looked sharp and feral. I wouldn't want you to get hurt, my dear. it's concerning.
@HER
Gabriel started and blinked quickly, utterly startled as Code seemed to appear before him, smirking, stealing the stone he had been playing with and tossing it over the side of the building. saukerl, he laughed, and stood up, brushing away crushed pieces of granite from his arms and rolling his shouders. Code was somewhat long-winded with his explanations, which Gabriel assumed was somewhat of a strategy to evade his stinging curses in German. not like he knew what they meant, but he would reply with equally burning Lithuanian words to insult him. teammates. he laughed at that word, rubbing the back of his head and shaking it slightly. half of them want to kill me for what Alfons and what Klaus did. he couldn't bring himself to call them father and great-grandfather, even to himself. the shame was too great, mainly because of his father's cruel actions and indifference and Klaus's cold bloodlust, having been a Nazi. the only clan that didn't mind him were the Italians. they understood, for the most part.
sie sind kurz, he said suddenly, and patted Code's head, grinning all the while. you're short. then again, Gabriel wasn't exactly of average height, being fairly tall and unfairly beautiful. [he had asked Elisabetta if all gargoyles were attractive, and she had answered with "sì," and a bell-like giggle.] most of the clans don't like me, he said nervously, and chuckled. my clan won't...mind me, but the Irish and the Russians don't want anything to do..with me. especially the Russians. he thought for a minute and tapped his chin, staring at the ground with a sheepish glare. ...I'm sorry.
@RAKU
Keetttaan! Chanse cried, and bent his neck so he could nuzzle the growing boy, moving his hair out of his eyes. blind. blind in his right eye. Xylia remembered how relieved Vessel had been when they had discovered he was only blind in his right eye. such unselfish, humble relief...she remembered how cold and cruel he had been when she had first met him. in that horrible love predicament with Lorak. but he had been so kind inside, and she had seen it, even with him not being able to speak. an immortal and a dream-watching mute, a perfect couple! they are growing up awfully fast, she said, and sighed, watching Ketan weave happily through her legs. she still didn't know how she could hear Vessel's voice in her head, but she assumed it was either from their close bond or from their odd abilities. either way, she had been overjoyed when she had discovered it. stop growing up fast, you two! she snapped as Chanse ran by, chasing Ketan and giggling.
she then turned to her love, smiling, deep violet circles below her eyes. I never thought life would be like this, did you? she asked mentally, nuzzling him in return and flicking her ears, watching the boys romp around. it seems like only yesterday we were cold and bitter and indifferent to one another-- Chanse! mind yourself! she voiced the last part, as Chanse had accidentally bumped into a wandering deer and frightened them away. sorry, Mom! I just..saw a butterfly.. he then leaped after another one, chuckling and dodging around deer that had decided to watch.
An unplanned blush skittered
"I have a ton of people that don't like me, either. It's how the world works." With that, he gave a pause to sink into the seriousness of this discussion for at least a few moments, rubbing at the concrete below him while letting his vision flicker from cloud to cloud in hopes that they would darken and blow away to reveal the stars sooner. Then, in a mutter, he added, "Russians don't like anybody period and the Irish are drunks. So you can't--why are you apologizing...? What did you do?"
Vessel nodded, getting the
Perhaps yesterday for you. It seems like it happened in past life for me.
Ketan hid behind Chanse as soon as he bumped into the random stag, extremely shy yet still hyper as ever. As soon as the stag was far enough away, he just jumped about again. There was a puddle from the fogs that had just recently passed. Ketan accidentally landed one leg into the puddle without realizing. His leg sank, causing him to trip. The little brown fawn cried out and scurried away from the puddle frantically, hiding again behind Chanse, then between Xylia's legs. If his eyes weren't hollow, they would be flowing over in frightened tears.
Vessel looked down at his youngest, then at his oldest. He sighed, turning his gaze back to Xylia.
Xylia, I'm a bit worried. Chanse hasn't been himself lately, and Ketan is holding too many secrets.
@RAKU perhaps, Xylia agreed,
perhaps, Xylia agreed, and then watched with eyes that paled as Ketan stumbled into the puddle, then yelped and fled towards her, his sockets cold with tears that would have, could have been there. Chanse trotted over after his brother, a concerned look upon his face, his brows raised in questioning. awwh, are you alright, Kee? he asked nervously, ducking his head to look under his mother's legs, where his brother had found refuge. it's scary, I know... he giggled, sounding somewhat hysterical as he rubbed Ketan's head in comfort, before glancing up at his mother, then his father with piercing violet eyes that asked many unanswered questions. Xylia gently shushed her youngest son, smoothing down his pricked-up fur with one hoof and turning to look calmly at Vessel. that is true...do you remember the German boy who came around?
Gabriel. she had had a feeling that the gargoyle could cause trouble..but with her son? Chanse..I don't know, he's taken a liking to Gabriel. and then he dissapeared a few nights ago and apparently Gabriel was there and... she glanced over at Chanse quickly; he was attempting to rid Ketan of his brief horror, his face strained with effort--..what about Ketan, though? he's far too young, isn't he? he's so little...
@HER which is continued from MSN BEETEEDOUBLEYOU
oh, damn it, he said suddenly, and scowled at the ground in a sudden fury. I never wanted Devi. Hell, I never will...she's just a girl, Code...I've seen to much to..to be considered a boy. I've seen things I shouldn't have... a dying mother. the eyes of a man no more considered a father. hair like lemons. the clans..just want me because I'm powerful. not in the physical sense, he admitted sheepishly, and turned abruptly to play with his hands. ..well, in a sense. because gargoyles either have, ehh..gifts of strength, intelligence, beauty or something..else. I have the "beauty" gift and they think...they think with the right training I could be like...my great-grandfather. his jaw tightened and turned white again. and I am not leaving. not now. unless...unless I can take you with me. or I can make amends...or something...
He hadn't expected the
Yet he then had to smile in opposition to his reaction before to show that his facts were all in good taste towards also being why he so heavily enjoyed the other's relationship with him.
"Beauty? German Edward Cullen."
I wouldn't mind, he said
his cheeks flared rose at the final comment and he slapped Code's hand, looking genuinely offended. I hate zat, he moaned, and then snorted. at least I don't sparkle...but my eyes glow.
I am aware of Gabriel. He has
Ketan slowly followed out from under Xylia, keeping as close as he could to his brother before staring in the general direction of where the puddle was. He tried as best he could to tell Chanse to stay away from that area. For the rest of the time, he was all too cautious about any more puddles.
Do you know of his true feelings for the gargoyle?
Ketan, soon enough, resumed to his bouncing, almost completely forgetting of the scare that just happened. He shoved his little black antlers through the grass in search of more butterflies or grasshoppers. He happened to find a few, and called childishly what they were and bounced after them.
Vessel's face became a bit more worried. Ketan may be young, but I have been watching him. He used to love going through those puddles. Now they terrify him like nothing else. Something's happened, Xylia. Something bad. I'm frightened to think of what sort of thing might be trapped in that realm. I'm more frightened to say that whatever it is... it doesn't appear in Ketan's dreams in any way, shape, or form.
I can take care of myself why
A dark mutter. "I know
Code chuckled openly at having his hand slapped despite cradling it's pink mark smacked atop it. "M'sorry, it was a joke. I don't even know who he is; I just know he's ugly and girls love him." He caught himself, completely straightening the way he sat in a flood of apologies, his own face now the same shade as Gabe's. "But I'm not saying you're ugly at all--I just obviously suck at English! You and I both know you're very handsome and your eyes are, too, so stop whining about them. At least your's aren't so obvious that you're partly magic or whatever."

and to bed I go D8
RAKU I can only assume. she
I can only assume.
she watched with interest and pain as Ketan eventually scurried away, followed by a newly-protective Chanse, who carefully skated around the various puddles that lined the landscape. blinking thricely, she narrowed her eyes and shook her head, dropping her magpie mask around her neck as to view the world better. her dark eyelashes fluttered and her eyes seemed to glow with a perpetual, motherly worry. it is disconcerting, yes, and I have noticed Devi's recent behavior as well. Aspen remains unconcerned, as does Magnet, but I'm beginning to think that Gabriel can be more deadly than we assume. he has an odd charm about him, he does. thinking for a minute, she looked up at her love and cocked her head in a silent question. it wouldn't surprise me if Chanse had feelings for him...Gods know who else does! with a snort, she pawed the ground, her magpie mask flailing from her neck.
after listening to Vessel's silent voice, she studied Ketan with a bit more concern, and her eyes widened as he avoided puddles by a wide distance and seemed to be very skittish when around them. ..I wouldn't know..I can't even begin to think about it...I know how young he is, but perhaps we could ask him. though that might bring back some horrible memories that we are unaware of, my love... she flicked her ears and chewed on her lip. ..not at all?
FAUNET
the man--Never--laughed briefly, chuckling in a good-natured way. gee, honey, I didn't expect that kind of react. Pan is expecting me home until dark. oh, wait... he grinned again, checking an imaginary watch and grimacing. shoot. missed that a long while ago. I'm just surprised you wouldn't want a man to escort you 'ome, is all. bloody hell. you're just like my daughter, in a way. she has blue eyes, though. she's my spitting image! his guffaw was loud and raucous, and severl passerbys grimaced and hurried along as they passed the two.
HER
Gabriel did not press the subject; he merely sat there, wincing slightly at Code's mention of his father, before having to break in and cut him off, a strange, pleading look entering his eyes. please, just don't talk about my father. don't... and then he lay back, staring blankly before him, hands still folded, before he laughed blackly and rubbed his eyes. I hate that man, alright? if he can be..considered one..which I'm doubting... and he stopped again, eyes flaring from sheer anger, pupils dilating slightly. no "man" watches zeir wife die and then...rejoices. in front of a son. niemand. no one. it's why he iz gone. it's why..I left. it's why he's an outcast now. you don't want eyes the color of...a murderer's. despite it being rather warm for an early spring light, he bristled and shuddered, grinding his fist into the rooftop, watching as it made a round, roughly circular mark.
and now, at the mention of his strange beauty, he laughed darkly again. I'm actually not the best-looking. the Russians are. Germans are...we're-- he scowled--..supposed to be ze strongest. and the Italians are ze smartest, and I don't...know..what the Hell the Irish are. they're neutral, anyway. zey don't..get involved. but zey still don't like me. can't get any more confusing, ja?
Faunet scoffed better run
It is wise to be cautious.
Vessel watched Ketan and Chanse play about. Every time Ketan came to a puddle, he just inched away from it and continued somewhere else. Chanse, meanwhile, seemed overly cautious as well and not as happy as before. It seemed like the two fawns were so connected with each other.
I believe Chanse does have feelings for him. His dreams have gone from warm to slightly heartbroken. Poor boy... He flicked his ears, his usual deadpan expression becoming a bit more grieved. I wish he didn't have to feel such things at his age.
Ketan finally mustered enough courage to approach a very large puddle. He squinted his big, black sockets in concentration, the bounced onto the puddle. He merely stood on the surface. This made him smile and giggle, bouncing about to splash up more water while not actually sinking into it. Vessel saw this. He sighed silently.
Not at all. I can only assume that whatever it is, he's already forgotten about the specifics. But the fact that he knows he should be scared remains. He used to feel safe in that realm. He once promised to show us some day. Now it's all he can to stay away from it. And, what's more... He padded the ground a little warily, still watching over their youngest while still keeping an eye on their oldest. I don't like how he doesn't sink like everyone else. It's either going into that realm of his... or standing on the surface. He cannot go into the water easily. It... concerns me. I think that in the future, when he's older, he will have something powerful...
FAUNET Never laughed slightly
Never laughed slightly now, shaking his head and allowing hair to fall into his eyes. bollocks, girl, she doesn't worry about me. she might even be wrestling sewer gators right now, I don't know. she doesn't worry about me and I don't worry about her. with a melodramatic sigh, he leaned on the nearest stopsign, staring up at the sky. so what about you, girlie? you got anyone?
RAKU
oh, Chanse, Xylia murmured mentally, sounding so weary that she looked years older, even being in a state of perpetual prime. lines upon her face creased and she seemed hurt by her son's pain. he left that night...and came back blank and cold. Gabriel had spoken with him. ah, Chanse...I don't know what to do with him nor Ketan nor even Devi, myself. they all don't need to be "in love" yet...we weren't even that young... she wrinkled her nose in distaste at the thought, looking up at Vessel again and then snapping her attention back to her children. Chanse was horizontal to the ground, watching a squirrel with intense interest before releasing a battle cry and pouncing towards in. the squirrel blinked as he landed feet off-mark, then seemed to laugh before scurrying away. Chanse huffed in a dignified way and turned to watch Ketan, his eyes still frightened.
be careful, Kee, Chanse giggled, masking his worry as he cheerfully pranced over to him. he prodded the puddle that Ketan was standing on, seeming amazed that he had not fallen deeper into it, stil keeping a small distance around it himself. I'm just so glad you can see this, Xylia sighed to herself, nuzzling Vessel again but still keeping sharp eyes on the children. it seems our "gifts" have had different reactions to each of them...Chanse has a mild power, but it seems to be growing in strength, judging by how quickly he can use it now and how well it works. Ketan..I've never known about his. it's a mystery. I've dealt with healing before, myself, but not water-travel..Chanse is growing up so fast and Ketan seems perpetually at ease as a little boy. I may just have "motherly worry", but this has been concerning far too long. perhaps the Gods could hold answers.
Nope no one at all she sighed

Brows lowered with a sound of inquiry for a second at her statement of "I heard you", before raising again in realization. "Oh! Uhh, yea," was the sheepish reply as he glanced in the direction of the stump not far from the Ruins. "Don't wanna get rusty..."
The stag turned back to his sister, curiously glancing around the inside of the huge tree, taking in the worn marks she must have made from sharpening her antlers. "What have you been up to?"
There were so many questions

FAUNET mhm. Never nodded in
mhm. Never nodded in understanding, acknowledging that she hadn't flinched or even blinked when he had spun the knife around. yeah, but at least your parents didn't abandon you, from what you've said, he pointed out, rubbing his hands together. it's getting awfully cold out for a spring night, he grumbled.
DANNNIIII. I don't know who to use either BAW ;; Lorak and Cal, Danielle and Cal...SOMEBODY. hmm...
PEGA
yeah, she admitted sheepishly, and straightened herself, rising up to her full height, still slightly smaller than Spade. though she was a doe, she had shoulders that could almost be considered broad and long, lithe legs. since both Magnet and Aspen were large in height, she would grow taller still, though Spade's curling antlers gave him an advantage. they were as different as they were alike; different in both personality and in appearance. I still don't know we're even considered twins. I don't want them getting dull like Aunt Xylia's. she waved her ears around her antlers as if to prove her point, then narrowed her eyes in interest at Spade's antlers. if I was a stag, I would want massive antlers. that'd be fun...
we should spar sometime! she said suddenly, and her skull turned a pinkish-rose. I haven't really been doing anything...it's kind of a boring day. and Gabriel's not around and neither is Chanse. hmmpf. she looked around as if searching for something, smiling awkwardly. really though; sparring would be fun. Chanse isn't really a good fighter, much less Ketan. and Mom is intimidating.

Gabriel could see Code mentally swallowing his questions, but he chose to ignore that fact, straightening up and leaning over the edge of the building. he enjoyed the wind going through his hair. gargoyles usually self-destruct, he pointed out quietly, blinking hair from his eyes. we go crazy. it's hard to watch...since everyone else zinks ve're so "perfect", we find..major flaws..within ourselves. and we kill ourselves. he then looked nervous, realizing the fright and possibilities of that statement and hurriedly spoke again to correct himself. I would never do that, no. but..I still find flaws. I couldn't kill myself, much less someone else. anyway, you keep me..somewhat sane. a smile appeared and turned gentle. I like your eyes too.
He wondered why she was
Spar with Devi? Spade couldn't remember the last time he'd sparred with anyone, let alone his sister. His antlers had been smaller then; that was how long it had been. When comparing their sets of tines, he clearly would have an advantage size-wise.
But then...the only part usable of his antlers in a normal spar would be the section right atop his head. Maybe it was more even than he initially thought.
He had to snort in agreement. "Yea...Mom can be pretty tough, even with a bad leg. Not sure I'd wanna take on Dad either. I heard he used to spar with the Demon Gazelle." His gray eyes blinked. "In fact I think Mom faced him once too..." Spade realized he was going off on a tangent, snapping back to the original subject. "But yea, I wouldn't mind sparring sometime. It'd be a lot better than beating up a stump." A smirk appeared as he eyed the scratches along the inside of the Old Oak. "Or an ancient tree," he teased.
Not exactly she murmered
Startled enough for his heart
A thick, heavy sigh. He moved then to Gabe's side albeit very slowly in a tremble towards being so lifelessly near the edge of falling, doing so just so he could pat a hand over the other's. Olive eyes blinked while angling himself to look at the other for a pointed sort of response in an almost motherly tone, "You keep me sane, too, Gabe--you don't even have any idea how I would be acting had I never met you and if you left either by clan or by suicide. So I'm undescribably happy for that." There was then something muttered in an abandoned blush about shutting up over the green-eyes compliment, shifting to stare down into the street at the same time.
PEGA are you kidding me? Mom
are you kidding me? Mom is so much scarier than Dad it's kind of sad, she giggled, but then her "brows" furrowed together and her expression turned completely serious. Walter? I'm pretty sure Mom's fought him and half the Forest. she snorted this indignantly, arching her neck and proudly surveying the landscape around her. to be frank, she wasn't the spitting image of her mother, having her father's eyes, both in color and shape, and his pelt, but there was something to dislike about her, much like Aspen. I can't even fathom how they fell in love. they're so different. but it's funny when she's around him..he calms her down. and she doesn't cuss as much.
hey! she sputtered at the comment of her attacking old trees. I was really bored, alright. really bored. and it's a wider target and I can't publically emabarrass myself from in here. she seemed to think for a moment, staring in interest at the ground before she rose up on her hind legs, her front ones flailing as she fell towards him. think fast! she said with a certain glee, her grey eyes flashing and her grin widening considerably.
FAUNET
ah, really? he sat down next to her, taking a cigarette from his pocket and lighting it nonchalantly. he blew smoke into the air, attempting to make smoke rings, only succeeding in making lopsided ovals. sighing and huffing in a disgruntled manner, he placed the lit thing beside him and turned to her. your problems can't be as bad as mine, darling. I assure you. wanted for several hundred murders, arson..yes.

Gabriel, even in the midst of such a serious subject and such a serious reaction from Code, merely frowned and waved his hands dismissively, his eyes like cold blue halycon beams that shone right back at him. no flaws? don't be zo modest, my freund. he inhaled sharply, pinching the bridge of his nose and then releasing the air rather slowly. I was just zaying. it's not a possibility for me. yet. his father had told him he would die like that; cold and young and violent and desperate. but he wasn't like that. he wanted to die peacefully, not at his own hand or at the hand of another, much less another gargoyle. Mathias or Niklaus. ...aaiuh.
blinking back his surprise, Gabriel shifted slightly and seemed to smile wider as he listened to Code; his expression, though hard and blank, seemed to lighten and he chuckled silently. well, I'm just glad we met eachother..it's interesting to zink about..where you would be. I could only zink that I would've gone back to Deutschland with the clan, if found suitable enough. but..hm. he stopped abruptly, seeming to scowl before his muscles relaxed and he released a sigh. I'm just..sorry. I don't know what else to say or do. a quiet laugh.
Vessel nodded. Chanse was far
Ketan eventually bounced off the puddle and shook his wet hooves. He came back to his parents, a little tuckered out. "Wan' go lay down? Go lay downnn?" He padded the ground a little, his hollow eyes drooping and his breath slightly labored. Vessel lowered his head to nuzzle him, using his head to point in the direction of Chanse, telling him to ask his brother. Ketan trotted away, going back to Chanse. "Wan' go lay down?" He wagged his tail despite being tired.
Vessel raised his head again, looking over his sons before turning back to his mate. I will be sure to ask the Gods when we meet. I have much to ask them anyway. For now, I believe our boys are tired. Maybe we should let them rest a little in a flower patch or near a blueberry bush. He offered a small smirk before letting it disappear, turning his head to the younger two in some hope that Xylia would once again be his voice. We can talk more when we know they are safe.
"Alright, alright--if you
Fingers curling tighter around the other's stone fingers beneath his, he draped a cheek on a gray shoulder, nudging at it until he found comfort in resting his jaw there to stare off at what few stars he could see through the city's lights.
Spade came close to laughing
It didn't last long, though, as Devi suddenly came at him with an outburst of "think fast!". He jumped back at that, but there had been no real warning, and no time to react properly. Her hoof came upon his deer mask, the nose getting scuffed since it stuck out so much, getting disheveled over his eyes. He shook his head in attempt to right it, sputtering. "That was a cheap shot!"
That could be true but still
