Hoping that its better now. If its a connection issue, one of the tips that the TEF community shared, which had also helped me, is under the 'Display' setting, to simply move the nature details to zero... and then back to the maximum again. Heh.

Omi definitely enjoyed the

Omi definitely enjoyed the time together, albeit it being a short while : ) On a side note, I'm not sure if this may be helpful or if it was what you did, but here are the steps I followed when I couldn't connect:

1. Go to 'Settings'
2. Go to 'Display'
3. Move 'Nature detail' to zero (all the way to the left)
4. Wait for awhile
5. Move 'Nature detail' to the max (all the way to the right)
6. Wait for all the pictograms to appear
7. Only after step 6 was successfully, did I then click login

Another odd one that helped was this,

1. Go to 'Settings'
2. Go to 'Control'
3. Change 'Screenshot file format' to tga (all the way to the right)
4. Wait for awhile
5. Change 'Screenshot file format' to bmp (all the way to the left)
6. Wait for all the pictograms to appear
7. Only after step 6 was successfully, did I then click login

This is not the best

This is not the best solution, I don't know it it'll help but for a while last year I couldn't connect at all without reinstalling my game. I don't know why and eventually it fixed itself but maybe try that too if you haven't? Have you tried different combinations of running in compatibility mode and running as admin or not? Changing those settings never worked for me but it might be worth a try? Sad

The internet and connection seem to be working well now, but it's still a challenge to log in to the game at times.

Yesterday, I couldn't log into the game for a long time again.
I couldn't log in for a whole hour, so I uninstalled the game completely, reinstalled it, and then logged in. For some reason, deleting the game isn't the first time I've found that working with it has worked;
I can log in right away after reinstalling it.

I don't think the VPN is the issue. The internet is working fine, check your speed, and reboot your router. Your router!
And we'll see. I'll be playing a game tomorrow, and to be honest, I'm worried I won't be able to log in.


P.S It feels like this problem is only between the two of us.

I restarted the router three times—that was the first thing I did. The game worked without a VPN, so the problem isn’t with that. But maybe the issue is with the blocks. When they slowed down or blocked the VPN, they slowed down the game at the same time. I don’t know how it works, but that’s exactly what I’m afraid of. I live in Russia +_+. If you live in this country too, then it’s definitely the blocking.

I'm sorry to hear that you are both experiencing this Sad (and sorry for lurking in the comments) sadly I do think it's the slowing down of the internet in Russia because it aligns with the time where things stop working for my other friends that live there. It's sometimes other games for them, because it seems to affect Unity made games as well, but from what I've read is that Paper VPN might be one of the VPNs that work for now. Maybe it could work for TEF, too?

I hope it works! I admit I'm not that experienced, but I can ask around if anything, I'll update my profile with my Discord for easier communication if needed.
And while I am not in that position I can understand how hopeless it can feel, I truly do hope things change for the better, but it seems like it might be a slow process and some things might take a long time to undo... I get a lot of anxiety surrounding the issues there, it hurts seeing my friends losing connection and can only imagine how it feels. Just stay safe please!
