You can also get a trail for my personal favorite program, Paint Tool Sai - http://painttool-sai.en.softonic.com/ . You do need to buy it after 30 days, but it's only like $60 compared to other programs like photoshop and corel painter. if you're interested of course.
oops firealpaca does not make the type of art i want to make and GIMP i don't know how to use do you know of any others that i can make really good art and is free? not just cute little doodles i want to make REALLY good art
Like I said, it takes practice. And most people have drawing tablets where they use a digital 'pen and paper' sort of thing, so it's more like drawing. I assume you use a mouse?
And many of these people have been drawing for many, MANY years. I'm not joking when I say the program doesn't matter, honest.
It helps to look at reference pictures and to learn how to draw on paper before moving on to digital.
I know you have. Please, give it time. You're only 11 or so, right? Just a little baby in the art world. Give it time and you'll grow and get better, I promise. The art program really doesn't matter, and I honestly recommend starting out and learning your best with a pencil and paper for now. Digital art may seem easier, but it takes some work to get used to.
How about you scan and upload some of your drawings on paper, or take a picture if you don't have a scanner? I'd love to see. (:
