Ok so Yesterday I just got the game and I learned a lot by just playing and hanging out with other deer. But if you don't want to read about my expiriences and just answer my questions for me they will be re listed at the bottom of this post.
So I stated the game by exploring around as my fawn. I found the ABIOGENESIS very interesting at first and had fun making myself white. But now I find it very annoying when people turn me white! Especially when I'm trying to use the near by pine tree for new antlers.
As time progressed I eventually gathered with some other fawn and this one deer I will always remember very specifically. He/She is black on top and white on bottom, has no mask, and real deal antlers. They always have flowers on their antlers and like to lead/play with herds on fawn. After following that deer for awhile our herd of five slowly deplinished from five to four to three to two. And then it was just me the deer and another fawn. I nicknamed the deer the fawn herder. Well soon the fawn herder went offline and me and the other fawn were alone.
They began to walk off and having nothing better to do I followed them. We stopped and met a couple other deer along the way but the most fun was a smaller than normal fawn sitting on a pillar in the ruins. We tried to figure out how to get up there and I managed to, you just walk into the pillar! Which leaves me with one last question, how was that deer so small??
After a little bit longer I went afk to do chores.
When I came back I proceeded to explore and I met these two other fawn who were very decorative. One was white with a black patch on it's back and the other blue and yellow. I traveled and played with them until their pelts wore off, and then the did the strangest thing! They layed down and their pelts came back. I couldn't figure it out at the time.
A little later I got seperated from them but found the fawn herder again. I traveled with him and another deer and soon the two fawns from before found us! I was quite excited about that. We ran all together to a very flowery place with another deer and a few other fawns joined us and we all played and communicated. There was also a sleeping butterfly deer who wasn't happy about us when it woke up and it ran off.
Eventually the blue fawn ran off and I him. Some of the other fawns followed us and we ran off together into the forest. One of them was green. We found a pine tree and have fun messing with each others horns for awhile. I at some point gave the blue bird a peacock looking mask and they kept it for awhile. At this point I nicknamed them bluebird.
Some time later me and blue bird were all alone and found a sleeping deer. He kept changing my pelt color but I didn't know why. Eventually I figured out what they were doing earlier with the laying down and getting their pelt back. I tried it and it worked. Eventually blue bird gave me a purple pelt and I just loved it!! I saved it and nodded to tell him I liked it and starting hopping around.
We played for awhile longer till they disconnected.
I spent the time they were gone trying to get a mask, I got one I liked right away! It's the one with the beak shape and the nob coming off the side. It wakes your voice like a rusty whistle. I was so happy I ran around having fun and being random. But now I wanted antlers. On my search for the pine tree I played with the fawn at I got really frustrated so I went to the one by the ABIOGENESIS.
And guess who I found there! Bluebird and another fawn!! We recongized each other, me by its symbol, him probably from my coat. Me and his friend, a black and white (orca looking) fawn with these strange boney looking antlers, kept trying to help get blue bird's coat back. I assumed he accidently clicked save when he meant load, but I later learned his wasn't the case.
When we finally got his blue with yellow streak back we pranced around happily and then tried for antlers! (we finally got his and mine which were the big white spindly ones(me) and these short ones with like six that were blueish(bluebird)
We prance around again for awhile. playing and stuff.
At some point I ran off cause I wanted flowers on my antlers, pink ones. But to my dismay I couldn't! I learned that you can only have flowers on real deer antlers. I was very sad.
So I ended up dragging my friends back to the pine tree trying to get real deer antlers. At some point some other annoying fawn kept changing us white! If I was white I couldn't save the antlers!! They eventually stopped and tried helping us out. But after awhile I gave up and showed this by looking sad and running away from the tree but staying close to my friends. They got the message but the annoying fawn didn't and was still trying to change my antlers. We tried telling them to stop by rearing and using the angry action and roaring at them but they didn't get it. So the three of us left and luckily for us the other fawn ran in a different direction.
After that blue bird lead us on a run and we ran for awhile till we all had to stop to load our deer. When they laid down for awhile for some reason and I pranced around. But I had to go about then for it was really late. So I kept bowing and looking sad until they both bowed back. It was the only way I could think to say goodbye. I don't know if they understood at first that that was what I was trying to do but I'm sure they did when I left.
Now when I logged back today I immediately tried to load my deer, but it didn't work. Which leads me to ask another question, how can you permanatly keep a pelt??
QUESTION RECAP (plus extra questions)
1.) how to get a smaller than average deer?
2.) how to keep deer style without having to re-get them each time?
3.) how to become a sleeping deer?
4.) do any of these need the adult deer body you get after 1 month of activation
5.) once you have the adult deer option will the fawn be able to keep its antlers, mask, and pelt with each load?
6.) does the one month me one month of registration or one month of log ins? (like only days you log in count)
6.) are you either of the main deer I mentioned in here? "Blue bird", me and blue bird's friend, or the "fawn herder?"

In terms of your questions I hope this helps, if you have any others or need me to clarify something more just leave a comment and either I or another community member will try and help.
1) Deer that look like smaller grown up deer are wearing a 'mini deer' spell, which is a type of shapeshift magic. Try letting your deer fall asleep in a mushroom circle!
2) You'll need to be an adult deer for that to work. Fawns can't keep spells, except for flowers.
3) Just sit your deer down and then don't move your mouse. Your deer will fall asleep on it's own after a few minutes.
4) You'll need to wait til your deer is an adult to keep most spells that change appearance.
5) Yes and no. Once your deer has grown up you can choose to play as a fawn again, but magic will wear off just like it did when you first joined. You can get and load sets, but they won't last long.
6) One month (30 or 31 days) since the first time you logged into the game. You don't have to log in every day however.
6) Sadly no! But I hope I'll get to meet you at some point.

I just need one thing clarified. Once I get to 1 month will my save's stay every log in time? So if I choose to stay a fawn would I be able to load my pelts after disconnecting and reconnecting even if they only last for a little while?
Oh and I forgot a question, can you only get regular deer antlers as an adult deer?
I don't have that much
If you are playing as an adult deer however, yes your set will save and load normally. You just have to be careful that you are wearing what you want your set to load as when you choose to quit the game.
Mini deer also have their own tiny antlers, which look just like the regular antlers. Fawns however do not have default antlers, so you won't be able to get them when playing as a fawn.

Yeah it is. It sucks when
But the no chat is really nice also because you don't have to be shy about talking to people, there are no chatbox spam, and it makes you feel more like a deer and less like someone playing a computer game, and then things like running around and hopping, dancing, and doing other actions like showing affection, rearing and falling down is "hanging out" with people. And you can actually make friends and feel closer to the deer that way. And I think that's what ToT is striving for.

I think you hit the nail on the head there; Tale of Tales is big on TEF being what they call a 'non game' so anything you'd expect to see in an online mutiplayer isn't likely to play a big role. TEF is by far the easiest game I've found for approaching strangers without feeling anxious.

And actually if you read another post I made I found them with the map but I don't think they get on the community a lot if ever. I wish you could send personal messages on this site. Plus I know their symbols by memory so I just followed them on the game. I assume they do the same or those two know each other in real life because they had already found each other.
