Dark, was the sky. Wet, was

Dark, was the sky.
Wet, was the ground.
Cold, was the earth, and everywhere around, silence.

Grey was the air, and it stripped the world of it's color.
Heavy, heavy was my heart.

Friends long gone, and memories fading to dust.
The cold air kissed my face.

Bowed, my head, to the sodden earth before the color of the world.
The faces of stone, and hearts of fire.
Before me loom.

For friends, I pray.
For those who may or may ne'er return home.
My tears shall cover the ground, and sprout will love.

Color was once again in my heart, as I prayed, turned everything--white.
Pure.
Sure.

Let prayers shake the earth now...
Let us, pray, now for mother earth, and all of her children.
