So you can imagine the horror I felt at witnessing the first images of cruelty in this seemingly scenic forest. The victim was a little fawn I had played with only earlier D:
It seems this doe, greedy for a pelt spell, just completely sat on this little fawn, squishing the spell (and life) right out of him. V. tragic.
I later found the murderess hiding in a cemetery -how fitting!
As you can see, she has attempted to conceal her identity by switching her masks.
May the maggots of guilt gnaw out her rotting heart till the end of days.
As if that wasn't bad enough, I later ran into a
ZOMBIE
Isn't he horrifying! I could barely stand to look at him, and I'm pretty sure he killed that doe there and gnawed her face off...As you can imagine, I didn't stick around too long!
Despite all the carnage in the forest, there is a shred of serenity which manages to survive...
As I was leaving the cemetery, a cute little bunny popped out from a small patch of poppies and hopped over to me and asked me to share my woes.
Bunny: ^.^ ....?
"Oh, little bunny! I am very sad! My parents said this was a land of great beauty and peace, but it is a bloodfest filled with zombie face-eaters and fawn killers."
Bunny: o.O; ???
"It's true! Even the little birds get slaughtered just for jest (I have not the heart to show you the picture I took of it, because it's much too gruesome for your adorable little eyes). I know not how a pure creature like you can abide here. Show me what you do to block out the carnage of this horrible existence so that I have some pictures which may at least hold a pretense of happiness to send back to my family."
Bunny: :3 !!
So the bunny led me from the murderess doe, out of the cemetery, through quiet fields of flowers and roaming butterflies...
...to a happily trickling stream flowing contently under an old bridge...
"Yes, I understand you, Little Bunny. This place indeed holds a beautiful environment worthy of a thousand snapshots. But what is the scenery if its main inhabitants are soulless flesh-eaters of the innocent?"
Bunny: *headshake*
At this Little Bunny led me to the end of the stream, where a beautiful pond lay, lined with drooping green trees and many relaxing deer.
You can only guess at my shock upon discovering my little squished fawn friend was there, in perfect health and decked out in a dazzling white pelt!!
After much frolicking and nearly running out of film, I turned back to the Little Bunny.
"I am happy now, but confused! I know I saw this fawn crushed under the weight of a fully grown deer, but yet he lives, and not even hurt! How is this so?"
Bunny: :3
"No ones lives can be stolen from them? That's great (and would explain the zombie...)! What keeps us alive?"
Bunny: !!! ^.^
"The gods do? I must see them! Where can I find them?"
And so the bunny hopped, and I followed. We went on an incline, up a beautiful hill that overlooked the pond and much of the Forest. As I climbed the hill, I began to notice a soft, luminous essence near the top. When I reached my destination, I beheld...
Bunny: *faceplant*
