I've had my deer randomly run off a few times, though in my case I think it's because of the touchpad on my laptop.

Indeed. =B A Logitech Rumblepad 2. It has 2 joysticks on it. One is used for moving the deer around; the other for rotating the camera. So much easier to play like this. But I've used it the whole time I've played TEF (2 years), so it's kinda...worn out now. XD; I have tape on the wire and have to wrap the wire around the controller to keep it from bending a certain way and making it stop working.

Toukan is a charming fellow.

Toukan is a charming fellow. He's nice, polite, and he's kind of quiet, which I think is an appealing trait, and he can be fun to be around. And he seems easy-going and approachable, and easy to get along with. He also happens to be a good-looking stag, even in-game his set is a nice one, and I suppose as far as the does are concerned the antlers might help. X3 Especially since deer with those antlers are usually stags, even though I know there are some does that have them.

I would be happy with the new version of TEF that's being beta tested since it ties spelldata to the account through the server and thus should eliminate the problem of losing data each time you switch deer.

BUT.

I don't want to lose the data I have saved. All the sets I have that have candles... Well, those candles came from the day Run's Memorial was in the Forest.

AND.

I hear the server only saves the most recent spells you have. So, if I could pick up new candles for, for example, Scape, and then get Scape's normal antlers over them, it won't save the candles underneath. I'd only have his orca antlers over the default ones. Since they say it won't save spell stacks after all...
It also won't save castable spells you've picked up either I hear?

I'll probably get over the changes when 3.4 is no longer in beta form, but still. I needed somewhere to complain for now.
At least Preference files seem to work. |D

My main reason for stacking:

My main reason for stacking: Kinsha.
He wears the beluga pelt over his natural Golden Butterfly pelt. Consider it like hair dye or something since his normal pelt he feels is very bright. When he's comfortable with all the deer he's with and there aren't really any interruptions of random deer, he'll sneeze off the beluga pelt. Without stacking, I won't be able to do that.
I think the lack of stacking is to save on space on the server. But still - even with a ton of spells in the set, it's only a certain amount of KB in size.
I know there's talk of having a "wardrobe" for each deer, but I don't know if that would really be implicated.
