Since appearances change so often in the forest, we're more likely to recognize each other by the symbols above our heads. Yours looks like this, correct? That's how we'll know you, no matter what you look like

As for the screenshots, sometimes computers store them in hidden files. If your screenshot folder is empty, you might trying going to the menu bar and clicking Tools - Folder Options - click the "View" tab, and click "Show hidden files and folders".

Seeing the same mark (pictograms, we call them) on a different deer is usually the result of what we call the doppelganger glitch. To other players it looks like that deer has their picto, and to the deer in question he only sees his own (or he doesn't have one at all, if he is an unregistered player) and doesn't understand why everyone is staring at him

This is seen mostly on unregistered deer who don't have a pictogram, but it can also happen to deer when there is a connection issue. Once or twice a week someone unfamiliar with this glitch will make a post, thinking their account has been hacked or they have the same picto as another, but this is extremely unlikely, as pictograms were meant to be unique to each player.
