I'm afraid I don't fully understand your question.
If you're referring to why deer are merely laying down or sleeping, people may just be multitasking while they're on the Forest. Also, some people find joy in the Forest by just merely sitting there and enjoying the peace. Eye

Try using the 'radar' to locate the yellow(preferably moving) pictograms.
Yellow means they're awake whilst purple means they're asleep.
