(fail title is super-fail)
Alright, I have my computer back, and can play TEF again! But this blog will still continue. Feel free to start a new interaction, even if you were part of one that already ended.
-----
I originally made this as a roleplay blog, but I decided to change it. But it can still be used for roleplay, too. Basically, here you can interact with any of my deer in any way you want. Introduce yourself, ask questions, whatever you want to do. It can be in roleplay form if you want, but it doesn't have to be. It's all up to you.
If you want, you can even address more than one of my deer, or even all of them, at the same time. Like if you want to ask them all a question, for example.
Links to all character bios can be found
here.
----------
Amary could be found wandering near the pond, watching the other deer playing. This was one of her favorite areas, as there was usually plenty of activity here. She is easy to approach, always willing to make new friends, and always happy to greet old friends.
As usual, Melinoe could be found in the ruins, sitting in front of the stairs that lead down into the open pit, where she likes to sleep. She looks passive, but is always alert, watching and listening for anyone who might cause trouble. Those who don't already know her (and even most that do) should approach with caution.
Oisín could be found near the crying idol, sitting among the poppies. He appears calm, simply admiring the landscape. He is not hard to approach, but may act a bit shy around those he doesn't know.
In the birch forest, Hope was sitting alone among the tall grass, where the young deer, not quite fully grown, was fairly well hidden. He is generally friendly, but a bit skittish among new faces, and best approached slowly by those he doesn't know.
Phoenix was resting by a rock near the center of the blue bowl, where she tended to remain unless coaxed out. Afraid of the unknown and frightened by strangers, the young doe is best approached at a slow pace, with the exception of friends and family. If startled, she may run.
The peryton was perched atop the largest boulder in the playgrounds, wings folded, gazing out across the land, watching everything. The human skull he wears on his head might deter some, but he is more friendly than he may appear. Only humans have anything to worry about from him.
"Unofficial" deer:
Maera and
Andras.
These are deer versions of two of my fantasy characters. They are mostly inactive, but can still be interacted with.

The phantom of the music box let out a hiss that turned into laughter. "You have such humor! I'm glad a found a soul with respect to such a slutty creature as myself." Her lashes curled, the pit of her eyes focused on the other. She turned towards the other and made her way over. As she reached her side, the will-o-wisps started to tremble as if something caused them to have a panic attack. She took note of this and circled around the other, taking her in all all angles. "My wisps say that you're not mortal either. The way they tremble in fear to you makes me question, what are you?" She lurked closer, but pulled away and stood near the enlarged bird cage that stood near the center of the Ruins.
I was just realizing Melinoe
Well, at least she's actually a bit easier to roleplay this way. In-forest, it can be hard to know what to do with her.
Willet:
"Well, it's been a really long time... But, you're right. I'll see them again some day." He smiled. "I'm kind of curious what other places are like, but I think I'd be scared to leave. And I want to be here in case my dad ever needs me, I mean he has friends, and he has Cell, but he worries about my brothers so much, I don't want him to worry about me, too. Besides, I like it here, so...I don't really have any reason to go anywhere else."
----
Munkel:
"I have seen much, yes, but there are still things even I haven't seen. I have been surprised more than once by things in this forest. It is quite different from other places." She sighed. "It might be difficult to not remember anything, but remembering everything is not such a good thing, either."

Snail
She frowned, her concern growing. "It seems like there's always something wrong with you." She moved closer, climbing onto the rock to sit beside him. "Is there nothing you can do about it?"
-
She snorted. One thing Melinoe hated was not being taken seriously. "I assure you, it is not my intention to be humorous. I simply find the dead deserve respect far more than the living. Usually..." She watched as the ghost circled her, frowning. "They fear for no reason. Although I do not particularly enjoy the company of mortals, I am an enemy only to those who cross me. As for what I am... I come from a union of life and death, although I am more strongly connected with the dead than the living. Some might call me a demi-goddess of sorts, and, in fact, there was a time, long ago, when many thought of me as a goddess of ghosts. But I have nowhere near the power implied by such a title. There is no word that would accurately describe what I am."

She chuckles, and nods a bit. "You're right. I probably am not ready for them to know." she agreed. Her tall ears perk at the mentioning that Polt was expecting fawns. She quickly noticed he said fawns in the pural sense, instead of singular. "She's having more than one?" she asks, suprised. Listening to Oisin speak, she nuzzles him lightly. "I'm glad you're not upset with her. From what I've seen, Polt is a sweet doe. I'm really proud of your choice to help her." She tells him.
Willet: "Well that's not
"Well that's not really what I meant...I mean..." He paused, not really sure what he was trying to say. "Well, I mean, it's not...there's more to it than that. I mean, that's not the only reason. Well maybe not everything needs a reason, but for some things it's just better."
---
Zerg:
Amary blinked, slightly confused. She still didn't quite understand everything. "I'm...not really sure what you mean. I guess it's not as clear to me..."
"Yes, twins." He returned the nuzzle. "I care about Polt too much to ever be upset with her. You've met her before, remember? She said she likes you." He smiled.

The ghost let out a soft laugh, turning her body towards her again and vanishing for a moment, before he materialized at the top of the stairs that led to God knows where. She stared down into the depths and cursed to herself.
Willet: He blinked. "Really?
He blinked. "Really? I remind you of someone?"

(Janja)
"Maybe if we found the reason your magic isn't working again..." She sighed. It upset her to think of Janjaweed not being there one day. Not seeing him for a while was one thing...It made her feel lonely, but at least she could look forward to seeing him again eventually. She hated to think what it would be like if he was gone for good. "How has it been? About the same as usual. Except there seems to be more fawns around lately. Annoying little brats..." She gave a little snort. "I have also met a few interesting deer, recently. There isn't much more to say."

(Spook)
When the ghost appeared at the same spot Melinoe had been standing, she backed up several feet, almost by instinct, frowning in annoyance. But she didn't feel like arguing. She simply wasn't comfortable being that close, even to a ghost. "Since I have told you my name already, perhaps you could tell me yours, assuming you have one."

The ghost tossed her head Melinoe's way and stared at her for a moment before speaking softly, "Spookhuis." She turned her body towards Melinoe, her eyes staring past the other as her gaze settled onto her prison, her music box that lay on its side. She felt the fur on the back of her neck bristle and stand on end. She wasn't too fond of that object, but it was all she had to feel... Human.

There was also a...fallen angel...who goes by the name of Crybaby. Oh, and a while back, there was a ghost named FurFur." She frowned as he tried to stand up. "You should probably stay put for now..."

Melinoe's gaze followed the ghost's to the object. Was that a music box? How odd...What was something like that doing in the forest? She noticed the other's reaction. "Hmm...Curious..."

Friiha's long ears twitched, and she slowly came down from the elevated stone by the pit. "I'm not frightened," the fawn murmured, the slightest hint of a smile showing upon her thin muzzle as though the thought were amusing. "And I'd like to think I'm not foolish either. But everyone is ignorant - except maybe Bylah, but I wouldn't know for sure - about something..." The dark fawn paused. "I want that to change for me."
As she came near, the fawn suddenly froze and she stared straight at Melinoe for a moment. She abruptly relaxed and continued walking as though nothing had happened. Friiha stopped in front of Melinoe and folded her spindly legs, lying down before this rather interesting doe.
Why are you sad?
She paused.

He smiled. "Yeah. We just met, but I like you already." He tilted his head a bit. "Hm? Guys don't like you? How come?"
----
Munkel:
"Good. I wouldn't have liked to explain it." She fell silent after that, not wishing to elaborate. There was nothing more for her to say at the moment.
----
Snail:
"I take it you don't know them, then?" Melinoe inched closer, laying her head down near his. "They are interesting, but...I still would have preferred being with you over any of them..." Her voice became quieter, even somewhat softer, towards the end. It was still a difficult thing for her to admit, but she felt it needed to be said.

"That such an object managed to find it's way here. And your reaction to it intrigues me."
----
Ranza:
Melinoe gazed at the odd fawn for a moment. The question seemed odd to her. What made the fawn think she was sad? She always kept her emotions well hidden. But the fawn was asking about something deep-rooted that even Melinoe hardly noticed herself anymore. It was easy to ignore something that was always there, that had been there for so long. "You surprise me, little one. You say you feel things? I suppose in that case there is no use trying to deny it..." She sighed. "The answer is rather complicated. But if you ask about the thing that weighs most on my mind at the present, it is because I am...missing someone..."

The phantom growled, but was amused. The pit of her eyes seemed to become more hollow then they really were. "I can see why it would make you rather curious. It's my prison. My... cage." She uttered, staring back at it. She hovered over, her legs disintegrating whenever she went to take a step. "I guess... You could say I've been buried here in this damned castle for quite a few of my people's lifetimes. How long as it been since the moss started to lap up the stones of this Church?" She asked, getting no reply as she moved towards the music box, looking as if she was going to nudge it, but a pair of phantom hands appeared from the darkness and lifted the music box from the soil. One went to the bottom of the box and started to twist a knob. As the music started to play, she lifted her head. She seemed to be frozen in time, the music plucking out the notes that each told a story of her past.
Munkel: "Until next time,
"Until next time, then..." She watched the stag walk away, then lay her head down to rest, alone once more except for the spirits.

Willet:
"Well, no, I mean, at least I'll try not to...it'd hard to know what I'll do since I don't know what kind of thing you're going to tell me. But...I won't leave, at least. It can't be anything that bad."

Snail:
Something odd stirred within her at those words. The feeling was unfamiliar, but not unpleasant. "Flattered? Don't be... I've always preferred the company of the dead to that of the living. Haven't I told you that?" There was a hint of amusement in her voice as she said this, but then her tone shifted, softening once again as she spoke her next words. "I...I miss...spending time with you, as well..." Her voice had become almost a whisper, and it sounded as if those words were difficult to say. She had never before admitted to missing anyone or anything.
~
"Hmm... An odd thing for a prison..." She watched the spirit as she somehow picked the thing up and wound it so that it played its haunting melody. She listened without interrupting.

As the music continued to play, she found herself staring into the box, the notes plucked the metal slabs. She shifted as she set the box on the stone slab before her and closed the lid. It took a moment to understand what he meant. "Oh...? Oh! Really?" He blinked. "Well, there's nothing wrong with that, is there? I mean...when I was a fawn, I used to think it was normal. You see, I know it sounds weird, but I actually have two dads...And a step-dad. And, well, I've never been attracted to does, either, so..."

Melinoe blinked in surprise at the contact, though what surprised her even more was that she didn't mind. Normally she hated being touched. While this wasn't the first time he had touched her, she simply wasn't used to the she could actually enjoy the touch of another. She didn't even bother to move away, and leaned into him instead, just laying there in silence for a moment. Her thoughts didn't let her stay like that for long, however.
"...I don't know...what would happen... You are the first undead I've met, and so I don't know what would happen if..." She let out a sigh, not wanting to finish that sentence. "Even...as a spirit...it...it wouldn't be the same..." She leaned further into him, closing her eyes. "I can't let that happen..." she whispered. "I can't lose you..."
~
"I suppose for most it is..." She turned to the spirit. "Questions? Hmm, mostly I am curious about how you came to be imprisoned in such a small object. And how you have come to be here. But it matters little to me whether or not you answer. That is up to you."

The phantom tilted her head and looked back to her music box. "Long story short, I lived around the time that this church was built. I was a woman filled with lust and the urge to spill blood of the innocent man. Then I came upon a man, who I tried to seduce, but he saw through it and casted my pitiful spirit into that music box, sealing me inside. Then I guess he must have buried me and here I am now. I see this place is nothing more then a forest with creatures such as yourself galloping around. It's unfortunate that I had to kill such a young creature. Less in the world. I could care less." She uttered while her eyes traced the outline of the deceased fawn.

"Mm...That's good to know." Her voice seemed somewhat distant. She was beginning to drift off, feeling comfortable enough to sleep there. It was the first time she had truly felt comfortable in the presence of another. There was just something about Janjaweed's presence that made her feel peaceful.
~
She listened to the story. "Hm...Interesting. So there were humans here once. Although I'm not sure how a mere human could have the power to do such a thing... Although, I would appreciate it if you didn't lump me in with the foolish creatures of this forest. I am not like them, save in appearance alone." She looked over in the direction Spookhuis was looking, noticing the small body now. She felt little at the sight. After all, she had little reason to care. "It is of little concern to me. Death is a part of life, after all, and vice versa. I never cared much for fawns, anyway."
Willet: "I don't...know many,
"I don't...know many, either. So I...don't really know..." He paused for a moment to think. "I don't...really have any...reasons like that. Maybe it's just 'cause of...how I grew up, with my dad...and...and all. I never really thought about it."

She blinked and opened her eye, his voice bringing her back from the brink of sleep. The question had caught her off guard. She wasn't sure how to answer. "I... Why ask such a thing? I have found it is often not good to care too much what others think..."
~
She gave an annoyed snort. "I am far from a child. As for your question, I think it is best answered by discovering for yourself. There is not much here that interests me, but then that is generally the case anywhere. It may be different for you. You won't find any men, but there are plenty of stags. There are other spirits, as well, most of which remain in the vicinity of the graveyard."

Spookhuis tilted her head to the side, her voice seemed to have an echo to it. "Such a persistent little brat, are we?" She chuckled, turning tail and looking over her shoulder. "I guess it was wrong to introduce myself to a brat who is quite rude to a spirit such as myself." She turned around again, facing her, "You know... I could end you right now. End all this misery of yours that you're stuck in this place having to deal with all these persons in this forest. Why not just... Die already?" She asked, her head tilting once again.
Willet: "A big small cat?"
"A big small cat?" He laughed. "I'm lucky? Well, I guess so. My dad can change to a human, too, and my brothers probably can, too. But unlike my dad, we were born as deer. But, you know, I don't really like changing much, because, for one thing, it might frighten others. I only knew you would be okay since you said you used to be human. And another reason is, it just feels kind of odd to me, I guess because I was born as a deer, like I said, and I didn't learn how to change until after I grew up. So that means most of my life I was just a deer and I didn't even know I could change for a long time. I guess maybe I'll get used to it after a while... And I guess this form can be good for some things. But walking on only two legs is kind of weird still."
----
Snail:
"You said you won't give up that easily..." She paused, giving a sigh. "I just don't understand why it matters to you so much... I'm not even entirely sure how to answer. There are...conflicting feelings...some I don't even understand." She paused again, taking in a deep breath, and letting out another sigh, then spoke hesitantly. "But...I do not think there is anything negative that doesn't come from my...my own...self-doubts...and...fears... This... You must know this is difficult for me. I...I have never really cared for anyone else before... Not like...not like this." She paused yet again, this time to think for a moment, as something occurred to her. "Even now, I've surprised myself with how much I've admitted. I've just realized... I told you once that I could never really trust anyone..." She closed her eyes again, leaning her head back against him. "It seems that has changed..."
~
Melinoe frowned. "You are the one who insulted me. My reaction could have been worse. I do respect the spirits of the deceased, normally, but I have never met one so insolent. I find it difficult to respect anyone who can not respect me in return, regardless if it is a ghost or not. Or was it my suggestion that bothered you? Because I was being sincere, and did not mean for it to come off as offensive." She gazed coldly at the spirit. She could have almost laughed at Spookhuis' claim that she could "end" her, except that Melinoe never laughed. She snorted instead. "If only it were that simple. Did you not understand what I was saying when I explained to you what I am? I can die, yes, but not in a conventional way. It is not easy to kill me, and even then, I will simply be reborn. Of course, there is a chance it will be somewhere else, but it's the same everywhere, and so it matters little. And yet..." There was a slight pause before she continued. "I do have a reason to stay here, and so I don't think I'm going to just let you kill me, even if you could."
"Yes hes a normal sized cat
"Aw, why would you wish that?

Sorry for not replying,
The other laughed weakly. "Yes, I do remember you saying that some time before. And I understand. I wasn't this way before. I guess you could say a friend changed me from my meat-eating ways. I guess since not having eaten, I've reduced myself to this state." He said with a horse sigh. He closed his eyes, if he had any, that was, and let out a breath. "I guess sometimes I procrastinate on my life. I want to give up, then I don't. Life is difficult." He mused, his mind ticking slowly. And I guess I'm the reason for your change...
Snail: ((its okay, I forgot
((its okay, I forgot about this ^^; ))
"I still can't trust anyone else. That hasn't changed, except that I can no longer truthfully say that I don't...trust anyone at all... You are...the only one..."
She looked up at him with a snort. "You shouldn't let someone tell you what you can and cannot eat. What difference does it make? If that is why... I don't particularly care either way, and if it bothers your little doe friend...That's her problem. You do what you have to do to survive. It does not matter what others think." Her tone of voice was clearly irritated, not at her companion, but at the friend he spoke of. She shifted so she was sitting up again, no longer leaning against him, but still close enough to touch. "You had better not give up. It would only be foolish."
A laugh was managed. "True.
