Although our forest is endless, the characters living within it are not. Eventually they run their course, and give up their places within the forest to those younger, smarter, stronger. Their memories and influences remain in those left behind until the memories too fade, and all that is left to mark their passage are the physical remains, left to enrich the forest and its many denizens.

This is for all of those who have gone, and all of those who remain, and all of those who have left us with nothing but richness.

This is my submission for this year's calendar.
