o|| Community Poll; Several questions

Because...I'm still trying stuff.
Don't feel obligated to answer them all. Just one or two is alright.

Question 1:
What types of incentive/prizes are you most interested in?
Examples- Full character art, signature art, layouts, interaction, money, physical prizes such as small figurines, picto necklaces, etc. Feel free to answer with something not listed.

Question 2:
Do you feel the community lacks something? If so, explain in detail.
No bickering. In fact, it would be preferred that you don't even reference what another poster has said.
I want it in your words, not 'I agree with so-and-so!'

Question 3:
Why did you come to the community? What drew you in?

Question 1:
What types of incentive/prizes are you most interested in?

Definitely either art, or money {but the latter is personal because holy shiz medical bills}
Layouts are pretty cool too.

Question 2:
Do you feel the community lacks something? If so, explain in detail.

The option to change your screen name yourself and remove things from your 'tracked' list.
Oh and that glitchy picto on everyone but the gen one players pages.

Question 3:
Why did you come to the community? What drew you in?

Shoot man I don't know now that I think of it. Kicks and giggles at the time but I grew to love this place and now I can't stay away for more than a few months apparently.

1. All of the above? ; u ; I

1. All of the above? ; u ; I love art. No matter who it's from, requested, commissioned or a gift out of no where. I adore seeing my characters drawn or something drawn for my characters. Layouts are very much appreciated too. I think I'm relatively okay with working CSS, but it's a pain in the butt, so having a nice layout given to you never hurt. Interaction is always lovely. Money can get art, food, help pay bills, etc. So that's always nice too. Physical prizes oh lord. Yes, yes, yes. Sorry I don't have much to add to this other than yes.

2. It probably does, but I haven't picked up on it.

3. I came here a few years ago, actually. I had trouble getting into the game at first, and even more trouble understanding the community. Since then I had several more attempts at 'trying to fit in' and have fun. I couldn't force the fun. I couldn't force myself to enjoy it. Then I tried it one more time and it just stuck. The community is lovely and talented and I enjoy it here so much jbskfadwsdaf.

Question 1: Art, any kind of

Question 1:
Art, any kind of art c: I love to have my characters in everyone different drawing styles, and seeing how they create the character to there own image. CSS is nice too, but honestly, there are plently of free templates to use, so more so art c:

Question 2:
hmmm... not really anything huge, would be awesome if the weather changed more often though.

Question 3:
well, I used to be addicted to the site ChickenSmoothie, for the roleplay and the little art program [oekaki], and I was a fan of a species there [Crown Kirins]. Declan was the creator of the species and somehow when we were talking, she mentioned the site and I web searched it, and downloaded the game, stalked all the art and fell inlove with it. I adore deer, and everyone in this community, it was just so easy for me to get addicted to this site ouo <3

Just as a note, I think what

Just as a note, I think what she means by 'community' isn't the game itself but the...well...community! XD Like the people who play the game. The social interactions on the forums.

Now for my answers...

Question 1:
What types of incentive/prizes are you most interested in?

I would accept any of those as prizes. However I'll generally only participate in a contest (unless it REALLY interests me) is equal to or greater than the effort I'll put into...well, whatever I'm doing to earn it 83

Question 2:
Do you feel the community lacks something? If so, explain in detail.

Yes, I do...but it's hard to say what, anymore.
Cliques are a problem, but they're unavoidable. 'Elitists' and 'n00bs' will always exist >< It's what's in between that needs to be built up and worked on, so that the former aren't trends that are that are that noticeable anymore. So how do we do that?
I would personally like to see more thorough characters being made. I feel like people are just latching onto designs and making 'on-a-whim' characters that aren't built to last, and don't. It makes making friends and building actual communities in forest difficult, because relations are changing too much, too fast.
More open plots perhaps? Not just inclusive ones where only a couple characters and their friends really know what's going on. Make it something the whole forest can respond to -or not. Make blogs about it asking people's opinions and measuring interests. Do this when making new characters, too! Give your character a story and open them up for others to help build upon.
Do be respectful in forest. Realize not everyone knows you're in a plot or are rping or you have a character that just doesn't socialize. If you can't break character to give them a swift bow and a headshake in the forest, leave them a note on the community? Just the nice thing to do.

That's all I can think of right now 8|

Question 3:
Why did you come to the community? What drew you in?

Eh well, I stayed with the community mainly to connect to the people I interacted with in-forest. I was an avid rper and used to sharing and discussing my character so it came natural to me to expand on that. I also loved that people made eachother fan art and organized group events and stories and plots you could request your character be a part of. Things seemed a lot more...'together' back then, and stable. There were always those long-term characters you could fall back on in the forest, and always something new to participate in or react to. I guess that's what keeps me coming back. I keep hoping magic will turn up again.

Question 1:
What types of incentive/prizes are you most interested in?
Preferably full character art, but something like a character plush would be pretty cool too..

Question 2:
Do you feel the community lacks something? If so, explain in detail.
Not sure if it's relevent to the community part of tef but I'd like to be able to change the names of our pictos without having to contact m&a. I don't like the mixture of IC and OOC? like, the arguments that start because of it/disagreements because of characters. Would like to be able to untrack things, change my username, think that's pretty much it.. though, I'd sorta like a 'post count' to see how many comments I've made just for fun haha.

Question 3:
Why did you come to the community? What drew you in?
I was drawn into the actual game through a good friend, but I think I spent maybe about a year or less without being a member of the community? I just hopped on ingame every now and then but I wasn't 'active', neither was my deer a character.. just me playing. But as for the community, I think when I really did start to get active and wanted to join properly, the same friend helped introduce me to tefc. If I was alone I don't think I would have been as inspired to meet people and get involved, not sure. Can't remember if I knew the com' even existed haha!

Question 1:
What types of incentive/prizes are you most interested in?

Honestly, about everything that shows the person doing it thought a little bit about my character. And by that I mean already, for example sitting down, reading a bio, and make a messy sketch. For me, that's already a huge compliment - I mean, hey, someone is actually their attention on my creation, when they could be doing something else with their time! Buuut, they decide to spend it, and even if it is just a very small portion, on my character. That's already awesome.

Question 2:
Do you feel the community lacks something? If so, explain in detail.

Don't know about that one, to be honest. Some things bug me of course, but isn't that always the case if people meet and talk? Conflict is bound to be as much as there is newfound friendship, and so on. Bottom line is, really, it's human. And if I am to consider something this community lacks, that thing is probably lacking at a much larger scale, too. I:
Ohwell, but purely mechanics-wise spoken, I do think the forest map running bug-free would be awesome. Or, a larger version of it overall. Can't count the number of names I missed because THE NUMBER OF DEER IN ONE PLACE WAS TOO DAMN HIGH! ;D
Speaking about the forest, I'd reeeallyyy adore first-person perspective. Sounds difficult, but I think it might add to my character sensation a great deal. Ohwell. *shrugs*

Question 3:
Why did you come to the community? What drew you in?

Plainly spoken, roleplay, really. I had some in various other online games before, but it was always scare. On TEFc, I can find plenty of it, and it's amazing to see what people come up with. Plus, the forest itself offers a very unique and creative way of RPing, I doubt I've ever seen something remotely similar to it.
Now, admittedly, I doubt I could play TEF very well without it. Got to know so many awesome people on here, and am hoping I get to meet even more as time passes, so I am depending on the community. [:

Question 2:
Do you feel the community lacks something?
I think the community is perfect as it is.

Question 3:
Why did you come to the community? What drew you in?
I used to play TEF before but didn't know about the community, so upon redownloading, I joined the community for roleplay and art.

Question 1: Any form of art -

Question 1:
Any form of art - I even consider written rps a prize. Anyone who spends time on any type of imaginative, creative process involving my characters is giving me a prize and incentive.

Question 2:
The only thing that bothers me a bit lately is the lack of artistic encouragement and praise. Not only on drawings, but some writings/stories also. This community is growing bigger and bigger, and I don't understand how an entry can have 250 reads with 5 comments? Are we that introverted?

Question 3:
The art drew me in first. Then I came here to interact with players to understand their characters more. I interact less these days however, as my son preoccupies most of my time, and my focus here isn't strong - but I still pop in and try to keep up on forest happenings and admire artings Smiling

1) Money and (full character)

1) Money and (full character) art.
2) The magic it once had. Just not the same. Everyone's off in their own world.
3) Discovered it on accident, forget how. Not sure what drew me in. Stayed because of addiction.

1: I don't know, any of that

1: I don't know, any of that sounded nice. Shouldn't be picky about free stuff right?
Although, physical objects that require mailing would in turn require me to explain where these things came from and why random people from the internet are sending me things. I tend to be needlessly secretive in how I spend my time online. Maybe not so needlessly, I told my brother about the game and this site and he called me a furry for a week or more.

2: I would perhaps like to see more organized events where people get out of their familiar groups and cliques. I was disappointed when I couldn't make it to that masquerade a few weeks back.

3: I originally discovered ToT through The Path. I talked myself into getting this game and joining the forums after looking around for a day or two.
I was attracted to the sheer amount of artistic talent, civility and the mind blowing ability of this place to self govern itself in the face of the internet's inexhaustible supply of trolls, bigotry and general unpleasantness. It looked like a place that I would love to feel like I belonged to.

1. I don't really need prize

1. I don't really need prize incentives to interact. But I do like seeing people use all kinds of creative means to spur people on.

2. I just feel like the community is lacking.. camaraderie. There are too many cliques. And not enough people willing to branch out and talk to new people.

3. The beautiful art I saw around the community is what made me want to join at first.

Writing or artwork, because it's a very personal prize to have someone creatively do something for you c:

2-
I used to always think the community would do better with a well thought out moderator system. But we tend to go through cycles of drama then long periods of peace, so I no longer feel it's needed. All I can think of is the more technical side of things - fixing the display name, flash picto glitches etc.

3-
I actually came here to ask for a set in exchange for a drawing. People seemed nice, so I looked around and liked the fact people were making characters out of their avatars, which never occurred to me to do - I thought it was genius that the game could be a step beyond text roleplay and so I stayed to give it a shot!

1. − Full character

1. − Full character art, money.
2. − It lacks the people's will/courage to interact with new people.
3. − I wanted to find the people I had plaid with in the game before knowing the community site even existed. Then I got stuck here.

What types of incentive/prizes are you most interested in?
I'd love a writing of some sort, but capturing an unknown character in words is quite impossible.
So art mostly, the community is very art oriented and talented in that area.
Money is always welcome for a poor student in a cardboard box, but for this community I'd say creativity is the most fitting in my books.

Do you feel the community lacks something? If so, explain in detail.
Changing a password manually would be a win.
What it comes to the people, I'd love to have all reach out more. I'm very guilty of staying out of it a lot, but I know everyone loves it when a new person comes over and shows interest. I'd like to see more genuine niceness and acts that are made sincerely to make someone happy. I know a lot of us, if not even the majority, are introverts or overall shy/feel like everything that moves hates them, and that's why they stick to the cliques that have proven to be safe. But it leads to another problem, not many feel at all comfortable reaching out to a group of tight-knitted friends.

Why did you come to the community? What drew you in?
A glitch made my fawn suddenly grow pair of adult's antlers so I came asking for help with no intentions of staying. This was the first community I ever joined, and I think it was because of all the great art and people who seemed very nice.

q1 - hrmm..art, layouts,

q1 - hrmm..art, layouts, pictos and physical prizes. not really money or interaction.

q2 - the captivating, awe inspiring spark it used to have. maybe it faded because i got older? or because the community changed. maybe because i made serious characters that became their own deer..whatever made tef lose its spark for me was a sad day. i will forever wish to get it back.
i think thats it..it lacks equality maybe? not as much judgement. and that people wouldnt greedily trade 847247983 pieces of art for 1 picto..that bothers me. fair is fair.

q3 - i had been previously roleplaying wolves and i wanted a change. i dont remember how i found tefc exactly. i loved the peaceful look to it and i was captivated by the noises each different mask made. i remember i recorded each noise the different mask made on my nintendo dsi. watching youtube was the best i could get to the game because my mom didnt want me to download it. i remember sitting infront of youtube for hours watching bzd videos, and the moo velocity made made me shiver i loved it so much. the older players really drew me in. i was awed by them when i was younger, but too shy to ever truly say hi to someone..but i was so innocent in forest.
thats what drew me in.

Question 1: What types of

Question 1:
What types of incentive/prizes are you most interested in?
hmm. Good question. I guess it depends on the event running. Art is always good but I love to see things made off the internet as well....but I like to share and share alike rather than have them as prizes.

Question 2:
Do you feel the community lacks something? If so, explain in detail.

a few rules. Not a lot, just a few to stop discrimination against kids. the US has laws about kids being in websites that allow MA even though it's not meant for it. It's just....too many things being mixed up and it spells disaster. Same fights are going to keep reoccuring till something happens in favor of one way or the other.

Question 3:
Why did you come to the community? What drew you in?

The simple play and the lack of being able to verbally communicate. My sister thought it would be perfect for the boys and I, but after meeting many of the players she opted against it for the boys. she thought the game was meant for younger kids because of the way it was made and simplicity of it. But with the players on here and how they make their characters treat strangers she opted against it. Wesley would break down crying if a deer attacked his deer for no reason at all and he's way too young to be exposed to the MA things on this site. I can handle it, but not him. I hate it when adults take over something that wasn't meant to be only for them.

Question 1: What types of incentive/prizes are you most interested in?
Honestly, none. I feel very bad when receiving anything, no matter whether I deserve it or not. Only thing I am really able to accept is the one, I made myself.

Question 2: Do you feel the community lacks something? If so, explain in detail.
Well, there is surely a lot that can be improved, but what I do feel, then it is not a lack but an overflow of members. This community just grew too big for me. And it depresses me, when I am unable to learn all the new names, I have even problems with remembering the old ones. One day I just discovered that I feel totally unfamiliar with this community and that I don't even belong here anymore, so I somehow stopped posting anything. I kinda wonder I'm even filling this pool.

Question 3: Why did you come to the community? What drew you in?
Guess it was for my first attempts to start my "virtual life" on the internet. And for the game itself. When I started with TEF, I had it all-inclusive. I downloaded the game, named my deer and joined the community within one day.

1. Honestly Art is pretty

1. Honestly Art is pretty awesome in general, but something like a figurine or plushy would be incredible too.

2. Yes it does lack some things. We seem to be similar in that we stay to our cliques and don't expand from them. I felt that way when I joined, and still feel it a little now. It seems like the new people are being blamed for it, when we're all sort of at fault here. Me included.

3. I don't know honestly. I was just surfing the web, found this place and was creeped out by the human faced deer. But I found the game incredibly intriguing compared to other online gaming formats. And the human faced deer just grew on me. Now I see it as normal for deer to be human faced. They're adorable.
