So ha she's finished! My first feathered doe with jewelery even!

Herla was a lot of fun and an interesting challenge. I was itching to sculpt a deer face, and I didn't have an example with feathers yet either. So her feathers are made of felt, completely done by hand with shiny thread I inherited from my grandma. YES. >_> They are sewn into the fabric so they won't just plop off. She's pretty sturdy entirely.

The nose ring is the only unremovable jewelery. Her necklace is a very decorative ribbon with a little button in the back, her bracelet is removable as well. The nosering can be removed from the ear, just not the nose. So Sight can hang stuff from it, haha. Like a laundry line really.

Her legs are floppy with teddy-bear joints so she can be somewhat posed. Her belly is made from minky. Herla is entirely hand-sewn. I have some in-progress photo's of her here: click!. So next up is Verve! Otherwise I'll never finish her before Kate arrives here. She's going to be an elaborate doll with a plastic armature, and I have a lot of plans for her. Possibly try a removeable scalp so she can have antlers or a headdress? Who knows. I might overestimate myself :")
