Biography
Name: Cypress
Nickname: Cy Species: TEF deer
Gender: Male ♂ Age: An older fawn
Scent: Damp earth Voice: Slate Gray

Appearance
Size: #23
Set: Sightless mask, Grey pelt

Cypress has thick, shaggy gray fur that is appears to be a consistent length throughout, except his stomach and chest, where it grows longer. The color of his fur is very solid and lacks noticeable variation at the moment. Cypress's fur is host to a red moss-like plant that does give him a splash of color. The plant spreads in a large patch from his mid-back, to his thighs, to mid-tail. Two smaller patches grow on both shoulders, and a clump climbs his left hindleg and right foreleg, along with his inner left ear.
Cypress has a pale humanoid face, with a small nose and lips, and lacking in eyebrows. Two gaping, dark indents are in the place of his eyes, a freak mutation of sorts. Even more moss stream from these indents and reach down to the sides of his chin.

Personality
Cypress is usually solitary but friendly, and welcoming to strangers. Could be taken as odd, or even mad, as he often mumbles to plants and fungi when alone. He can be childlike and playful or subdued and comforting, for his actions greatly depend upon the situation. Likes a good nap or a good romp, a "go with the flow type".
Cypress usually becomes a tad awkward around strangers, often just standing and shuffling his hooves. A little odd compared to others his age, and very much aware of it. He is a major follower, and usually won't take charge. Cypress can become grumpy and defensive if his moss is picked at or poked fun at. Unclear whether those are his true feelings, or maybe the feelings of the plant itself.

Behavior
Cypress's parasitic plant has induced odd behaviors out of him that seem to only benefit the moss.
• Often soaks in The Pond or Crying Idol for short periods, keeping his fur damp and the moss healthy.
• Avoids long periods of time in the sun, seeking shady ferns or trees instead.
• Mumbles strange things to other plant life as though a messenger to all the Forest's greenery.
• Has become unnaturally solitary for his age.

Cypress and his Moss
The Moss: The moss is something that at one time invaded Cypress more internally, taking him as a host body to live off of, a sort of parasite. It had been connected to his nervous system and brain, and now is permanently, though not as strongly. The moss currently affects his sensitivity to touch, his awareness of his surroundings, and how he thinks about things (cloudy thoughts, bouts of extreme confusion and panic, etc.)
Origin: Though it is unclear to him how Cypress obtained his parasitic plant, it is linked to a disease he once suffered from when he was hardly a month old. His ailment has no known cure, and is presummed to be with him for the rest of his life.
