This is a private RP between RiddledRhyme's Alani and my Zash. You may track, but we would appreciate it if you didn't join in. If you would like to RP with one of us, or have an idea for a plot with any of our characters(not just the pair shown here) you may talk to us on their respective bios or through other means. Both pictures are © me, Sicily.
A lone gray bird,
Dim-dipping, far-flying,
Alone in the shadows and grandeurs and tumults
Of night and the sea
And the stars and storms.
Out over the darkness it wavers and hovers,
Out into the gloom it swings and batters,
Out into the wind and the rain and the vast,
Out into the pit of a great black world,
Where fogs are at battle, sky-driven, sea-blown,
Love of mist and rapture of flight,
Glories of chance and hazards of death
On its eager and palpitant wings.
Out into the deep of the great dark world,
Beyond the long borders where foam and drift
Of the sundering waves are lost and gone
On the tides that plunge and rear and crumble.
~ "From the Shore" Carl Sandburg

Zash only released his hold when they reached the level ground, returning it to his pocket, "Sometimes it's nice to go somewhere new...or somewhere different. Reminds you how much you care about where you come from or the places you have seen."
As they walked away, Alani
Alani nodded and smiled at his words. That sounded good to her.
"Yes, it does." She agreed to his last statement.
Zash paused to look back at
To walk away from that...it had to be quick, like pulling off a band-aide or popping a joint back into place. It hurt worse to draw it out. He took in a quiet breath, before offering her a gentle smile and motioning toward the portal in the distance.
"Shall we?"
Alani nodded and walked
When she got there, she took a deep breath. She wanted to remember them smell of the ocean, the sound of the waves breaking and the seagulls calling. Then, she looked down at herself, wondering if it was the last time she'd be this way.
Another breath, and she stepped through.
And there she was, in the forest once more. A doe standing with her feet splayed apart, wondering if it'd all just been a dream
