Wandered about the old forest for a while before settling down beside a tree that was situated within a lovely sunspot. Did not mind being out in the open, as it was peaceful and there were very few deer about. Soon noticed the presence of a beautiful doe (Cassiopeia) who was nearby; curiosity drove the spider-deer to move closer. Was relieved to see that the doe was friendly, and before she knew it they began to romp around together. Felt a little awkward about it at first as she mimicked Cassi's playful movements; she was not used to rearing, but eventually got the hang of it. Chased the doe around, feeling exhilarated and energized.
Began to grow a little nervous as they neared the pond; she is quite afraid of water and prefers to stay away from it. Greeted another doe as Cassi took a drink, but was unnerved when the stranger began to moo over and over again. Grew frightened when a stag closed in on her out of nowhere, further disturbed by his own bellowing. Soon bolted despite Cassi's attempts to neutralize the situation; ashamed of her cowardice, but relieved when the doe sought her out. Wasn't too happy to see the mooing doe following her as well, and sure enough she just wouldn't be quiet. Flustered by this, and flew again when the stag showed up and got too close to her. Hid at the rocks in the playground, relieved when the strangers didn't follow. Sadfaced when Cassi found her again, apologetic for bolting like that. The doe was forgiving, and her very presence was comforting to the spider-deer. Ashamed and embarrassed for giving off such a weak impression on her new acquaintance.
The strangers returned yelling and screaming once again, and inexplicably Cassi vanished. Terrified, the spider-deer made a beeline back to the blue bowl and hid within the thick patches of bluebells. They did not come back for her, but where was Cassi? Despite her distress she soon fell asleep, and was later rejoined by the lovely doe. Did not stir from her slumber, but recognized her scent and felt her presence. Comforted by this, and dreamed more peacefully.
small, lean build with long legs her "fur" is actually coarse, bristly hair bright, shining eyes that are also reflective afraid of water, crowds, loud noises and heights produces silk with spinneret glands beneath tail fangs are venomous; not deadly; puncture and paralyze strictly uses fangs in self-defense; more likely to flee instead usually seen sunbathing in sun patches when she is alone most commonly sleeps at the bases of large trees with brush
Lacuna is a predatory creature who preys primarily on birds, fish, squirrels, rabbits and insects. If she is seen haphazardly galloping about in a contained space, she is chasing down prey. Fawns and minis need not fear as she would never bring harm to them; there is plenty else for her to sustain off of in the forest.
Lacuna has an affinity for females, and adores children. Unfortunately, she is very nervous around outwardly obvious males (may mistaken an effeminate/antlerless male for a female). If a male wishes to befriend her, there may be quite a bit of patience involved as she will not approach first and may flee. Once trust is gained, however, she is a loyal and giving friend. Despite this she will not tolerate being touched by males, even in a friendly manner. On the opposite end, Lacuna is quite physical with mature females (leaning, nuzzling, sniffing, etc.).
A burrower by nature, she will clear patches of earth before settling down to rest (indicated by continuous pawing). She may layer silk around these areas for security, but it is by no means a territorial action.
More coming soon.
frans n' stuff later awhh

sjfsdj HAN you are such a butt!! XDD -pets vinttage- Shh, shh. Is awrite. ;n;
The spider-doe was equally relieved that the returning voice was gentle and nonimposing. The creature sounded more confused and wary than threatened. Lacuna sat still for a moment, wondering if she should reveal herself at all. She wasn't frightened, but she didn't want to be a both either. Regardless she soon found herself rising to her feet and taking a few steps from the sunlight and into the shadows, her ruby eyes glimmering as she made the transition. Stopped a few feet to the side of the mare and tilted her head. "I am beside you now. I am sorry, I tend to forget that I can be easy to miss." A gentle smile crossed her muzzle at this, tilting up her fangs slightly.
The rustling leaves told Andromeda that the stranger was close, and as she turned her head, caught sight of being. Her skipped a beat at the sight, and curiosity and wonder filled her mind. The creature before her had many spider like features, the eyes, the fangs, body language. It filled the mare's mind with questions.
"I must...say...what an extraordinary creature you are...." she quietly stuttered, stepping back a little and bowing her head in greeting
That certainly wasn't the reaction that the doe was expecting, but it was a kind one without malice and that was all that mattered. The corners of her muzzle drew up into a smile, lifting her fangs a little more as well, and to anyone who was not familiar with her this may have come off as an aggressive expression. Her stance certainly did well to demystify this, however, as she stood quietly with her back dropped slightly below her shoulders. She was submissive, naturally, especially to those who were larger than her. Gently the spider-doe took a couple of small steps forward as well, her head bobbing lightly in greeting in return. "Thank you...I must say the same of you," she replied quietly, tilting her head and studying the mare with her ruby eyes. "But you look different than most of the creatures here. What is your name?"
The mare watched the creatures movements, so spider like and gentle. The fangs worried Andromeda more. She had met many creatures, who at first seem innocent, turn into very dangerous animals. She kept her stance, trying to stand tall, intimidating in a way.
"I am Andromeda," she replied.
"and you?"
The spider-doe was very sensitive to the feelings of those around her, and she picked up on the mare's tension and wariness right away. This in turned made her even more wary, as a creature that feels threatened is more likely to attack. Although she didn't quite believe that she was in danger, she kept her wits about her nevertheless, ready to make a break for it at the slightest hint of aggression.
When the mare spoke her name the doe smiled again and softly replied, "I am Lacuna. It is a pleasure to meet you." Studied the mare for a moment, tilting her head, and then took a couple more steps forward. Slowly she began to close the distance between them, curious as ever.
Still watching the spider doe's movements, the mare continued to stare at her spider like demeanour. She clicked her hooves on the ground, as she realized the creature was moving closer. Stepping back just a little bit, she replied.
"And you," she murmured under her breath, finding her throat to be a little dry. Perhaps it was the shock of the creatures appearance? But yet, there is innocence within.

Lacuna immediately halted when she realized what was happening. The mare was clearly scared, or at least unnerved. She was not familiar with horse creatures, but she could read Andromeda's body language quite clearly. Dropping her shoulders and haunch in a submissive stance, the dark spider-doe took a couple of steps backward until her rump touched the trunk of a tree, which startled her slightly. "I...I am sorry. I do not mean to frighten you. I...forget sometimes," she spoke slightly above a whisper, her ruby eyes glinting dully in the waning shafts of light that managed to creep through the canopy.
(Ah, I'm afraid I don't use my e-mail as much as I used to x) It's alright ^^)
Seeing the creature back away made the mare realize that she must be careful when it comes to these things. She wanted to meet people, not scare them. Realizing her act was silly, she shivered away the hasty thoughts and smiled.
"No no, don't be. It's me that is being silly, please, may we sit?" she asked, tapping her hoof onto the sodden grass.
(Awh okay, well if you'd ever like to e-mail me feel free to go ahead; I check it often n_n)
Funnily enough, the spider-doe was thinking the exact same thing of herself. The smile was reassuring enough, and Lacuna perked up slightly at the genuine gesture. The response was a surprise, but a lovely and very much welcomed one. "Yes...that would be nice," she replied softly with a gentle smile as she gingerly closed the distance between them. Soon she had to crane her neck to look up at the mare, and although this made her a little nervous she felt that she truly had nothing to fear from Andromeda. With a small sigh she set herself back down onto the grass, tucking her legs in tightly. "Thank you. That is very kind of you," she went on, her smile broadening. She was feeling more relaxed already.
This creature was no threat. The way she acted - every move careful and quick - made Andromeda realize that even she could frighten little ones like Lacuna.
"It's my pleasure, it's the least I can I do I suppose," she replied, nestling herself down close by the spider doe.
Now able to examine her features more carefully, the mare didn't realize how, unique the creature looked.
"I must say, your very pretty. Are there many like you?" she asked, tilting her head.
The black-and-gold doe was surprised to discover that she did not draw even further into herself as the mare settled down beside her. Rather, she felt comforted by the other female's closeness now that no threat was established. Four shining, ruby eyes regarded Andromeda shyly as the spider-doe was examined. Nothing prepared her for such a lovely compliment, and she gasped softly followed by a gentle clicking sound. No one had ever said something so nice to her. "Thank you... That is quite a thing to say, coming from someone as beautiful as yourself," she breathed, looking away abashedly. It took her a moment to remember that there had been a question there as well. "Oh, I...I am not sure. I have not seen others...like me. Not here," she explained quietly, soon drawing her gaze back to the mare's own. "May I ask what you are? I had never seen a creature quite like you."
The mare got herself comfortable, and listened to the spider doe with full attention. Her voice was so gentle, so quiet, it soothed the mare.
"I am an Equine," she replied after realizing the creature had asked a question. Her voice was so relaxing it almost put her in a trance.
"I do believe there are a fair few in this forest, though I have only seen a small amount grazing in the distance," she added.
