FAMILY
†Phaios, 'Pai'†; The mother, the guardian. Despite being an adoptive mother, Pica had looked up to the doe and felt a great sense of awe at her resilience, peace and inner strength. A calming and benevolent figure. Now, looking back, she now feels a sense of regret having not spent her time with the doe as wisely and taking her presence as granted. Missed achingly - however, a new pathway to take back her mother from the dead has arisen - excited, terrified and anxious.
Rossamund, 'Rossy'; Adoptive brother through Phaios. One of her most cherished relations, sometimes feels his overly caring nature will lead him to great trouble, and so has taken to try telling her brother to worry more for himself. A totem to her short childhood and better memories, is viciously protective of. Has recently learnt of his seeming ability to not die? Freaked out by this, but keeps it inside and unspoken of. Acknowledged as the 'better sibling' by Pica, Rossamund's the one that Pica will always turn to when distraught or otherwise.
Despite her obvious preference and endearment towards her brother, Pica always experiences a curl of guilt in her stomach whenever she sees his pale, drawn face. To her, she evidently isn't chalking up to what being a big sister is, and her inability to simply keep her brother company throughout most of his life and meet more of his friends stabs at her conscience constantly. Though he is one of her most fundamental relationships, she often feels as if she is inept and unable to take care of him as she should and is inadequate for meeting even the most basic standards of being a sibling. As such, she often believes that he may well be better off without her. Wracked with emotions of regret and self-reproach when she is alone and thinks about it too much.

» extended/distant family
Isobel, 'Izzy'; A childhood friend, Pica is unaware of her tie as an adoptive half-sister through Phaios. Has always looked forwards to seeing her again, and is faintly anxious over, having not seen it a while.
Eve; Adoptive half-sister through Phaios, though is unaware of this. A long, loong time ago had interacted with her.
Mire; Adoptive half-brother through Phaios, though is unaware of this. A long, loong, even loooonger time.
Miriam; Adoptive half-sister through Phaios, though is unaware of this. Pica is dum okay she doesn't know many ppl
Morioch; Adoptive half-brother through Phaios, though is unaware of this. First interaction was negative, seeing that he'd targeted Rossamund with Thane.
FRIENDS
Lohtu, 'tutu'; A childhood friend, and almost considers him her brother. Probably her first source of bruises and pain, actually as a child, their daily ritual of very rough play and snuggles afterwards quintessential in strengthening their bond. Adores without failure and thoroughly enjoys company, be in the riotous moments or quiet spaces in between. Has always brought a sense of adventure and joy in her life. A constant throughout her younger years, has become scarce, and in her alone-time mulls over his disappearance. Not good for her, but does it anyway. Amused by the height difference between them now and treats him - whether he knows it or not - more gently than ever, aware of his small stature compared to hers now.
Monroe; Actually such a piece of shit in her mind, but even though she doesn't like him it doesn't mean she doesn't trust him. Loves to hate him, and showing any kind of genuine affection that isn't wrapped up in layers of sarcasm and prickliness is physically painful. She says she tolerates him because he's her brother's....... boyfriendo? not boyfriendo???? but honestly she kind of likes having someone to yell at. Deep deep deep down she thinks he's cool and a good friend but she'd rather be killed three and a half ways than admit it. Partly because she wouldn't be able to bear the insufferable, genuine glee he would react with - like, he pisses her off sooooooo bloody much, but idk he's still a friend in her book and if that doesn't say anything about their relationship--
Verve, 'Vur'; The dark, super-tall doe had been intimidating at first, but upon being introduced through Lohtu, finds her to be tons of fun and fascinating, with all her paints and colours. She had also been Pica's comfort after Phaios's death, and gifted the at-the-time child her current pendant in the likeliness of her mother as well as a small pouch of white paint. Now, having withdrawn into herself, rarely allows herself to visit the doe, feeling as if she doesn't belong in her presence and only drag her down.
ben 'funny of-same'; A friend who Pica finds is immensely amusing, having fun in romping around and spelling each other in different, sometimes ridiculous looks. Doesn't see much of now, but it may also be due to her recent inactivity.
ACQUAINTANCES
Ronra; Cool, buff lion-lady. Thinks she's cool. Ronra's cool.
Zorn; Kind of intimidated by his size, but realizes he's a bit of a huge fluffyball of dorky love. Pretty fun to be around, and if not anything else, a really good heater.
Xanos; Chill guy. Kind of intimidated at first due to his staggeringly huge
ass size, but realised he's a nice person to simply relax with. Would probably seek out for company again if given the chance. Also flirty things but it's k. Pica thinks it's funny.
Ramsus; An acquaintance through Lohtu, the ram terrified Pica in her youth. Presently, though, she has learnt to see past his appearance to truly enjoy his company. Believes him to be calm and stoic.
Gyors; Has only met the pup once, but foundered a slight distaste in it's needyness. Is aware he is Rossamund's charge.
DISLIKED
Unathi; Their first and only interaction had been negative. Upon being informed by her brother that the unicorn and her partner had hurt him repeatedly, stands on the belief that any action the unicorn takes is for malevolent reasons. Would keep a wary eye on.
Vittani; As a child, found the raptor doe to be a neutral figure - though she made no effort to protect Pica from her 'packmate',
did give her honey. >u> As she aged, the doe became more of an antagonistic figure in her eyes, on one occasion chasing Pica off with the intent to wound. Negative.
Raptor; A scarce form, but had chased and terrified her as a fawn. Big fat no.
Greitai, 'toothy'; Considered dangerous, and is something of her childhood 'arch enemy'. Enjoys taunting and being a brat to the raptor, though definitely not the bruises and scrapes afterwards. Holds an interesting relationship with the carnivore, Greitai admittedly being the only constant throughout her life, and as a result, is almost eager to see the raptor at times, her appearance marking some sort of stability throughout her existence.
lost..?
Israel, 'Izy'; Her lazybutt older 'brother'. Had promised her a long time ago to take her into the 'hooman' world, and though he has been absent from her life for a while now, still clings onto that promise, as a sign that he will reappear.

Isobel knew Pica loved Phaios, and was closer to the doe than she was. She didn't like to see the little doe so sad. And perhaps the best way for Isobel to deal with her emotions was through others. She sat down beside the little one.
"Is here."
She gently nudged the other.

The small fawn didn't really notice Izzy sitting, so intently was she staring at the spot where Pai had last been seen and started at the small nudge, but upon realising who it was tried to burrow into the brightly coloured of-same's side, hiding her face behind the frills. "..Thankee."
But the teal eyes still stared at the tree trunk. Waiting and hoping.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
A small raptor-like coo came
Her quills lowered as she relaxed, watching the horizon and she, too, staring at Phai's tree.
It was a delicate job,
She wasn't sure what the amulet could offer Pica. Something to help the memory? Perhaps. A form of comfort, maybe. The tall doe decided to leave it at the base of the sapling tree she often saw Pica at. As a little suprise, maybe. And perhaps she wouldn't even realise it came from her. Make up her own meaning. That was fine too.
She let out a sigh as she looked at her handywork, now laying in the grass. This'd do.

The fawn was still dazed from the whistling ride and only kicked out once when carried down in the dragon-stag's jaws and ended up clutching at the ground, fur wet in places where Var's spit had made contact. A time passed where she stared out, shivering, reliving the experience before turning with a peeved look at Var. "Gah - too fast." Regaining some of her composure as she spoke, the fawn straightened a little above the grass to be almost blown back by the vigorous wind that buffeted her, hunkering back down to mutter quiet insults and secretly wishing she had wings so she could fly at her own pace.

Itch seemingly to be resolved, Pica quells her movement to eye Acton. "Pssh, where would be have missed a door-thing? An' about the feely - Pica don't know. Tea was going to go to sleep anyways." But then she brightened; "Acton wanna help find a door with Pica? Some bits are too high for Pica." A world! They could perhaps find a world!
@Poppy
Pica did too - thank you for his company!
@Kaoori
The small fawn felt the small vibrations from Izzy as she made a strange noise and looked over sideways to see if she was alright. "Izzy.. Izzy alright..?" She had to clear her throat a bit from the previous tears that had clogged it.

Pica still looked a bit peeved about how he didn't seem to like Zahaha and only returned the schneegle half-heartedly. "Tch. Pica's fine. Nothing much." But by the trees, they stung fiercely. ".. Why don't like Zahaha?", the fawn asked, all pouty and such.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
@staff The fawn clenched her
The fawn clenched her eyes tightly as she felt Var leave, wondering whether he was just going to go and leave her to make her way back before cracking open an eye - just in time for her eye to be bombarded by dust particles as Var makes a showy touchdown. Hissing and scrubbing at her eye, the fawn narrows her eyes at the dragon-stag and muttered a few more choice words of insults.
e: GAARGH forgot to put it in my earlier post. Forgive my double posting. ; _ ;
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
The thick furred fawn
"... 'Izzy' is okay..Pica
@Echo "Oh. Okay. But anyways
"Oh. Okay. But anyways - Zahaha is Pica's friend, so next time don't be tired." The fawn nodded, content with her advice before startling at Rossy's mention of Vur. "Gah?! Rossy knows Vur too?!.. But yes, Vur made it." And she curled up tighter around the small wooden object protectively, commenting with a sudden grin, "Well, Pica don't needa exercise. Hurt too much."
@Kaoori
The small fawn looked away for a moment. Would she be okay? Was it okay to be okay if Pai wasn't okay? She twitched an eye in frustrated concentration, trying to figure out what was okay and what wasn't without confusing herself. Craning her neck forwards, Pica took a small sniff at the base of the tree. Pai's scent was still there. Good. "Sad, but shh - white is the colour of the 'soul'."
A quote from Vur, hoping that perhaps Izzy would understand and be comforted.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
Isobel tilted her head,
'Color of the soul..hmm.'
Vaharo stopped and just gave
@Kaoori "Mhm. Does Izzy...
"Mhm. Does Izzy... think that Pai's not gonna come back?" Her seeming confidence about Pai's soul before had dissipated - poofed, and now the fawn was back to her confused and unhappy self, wondering if her mama - and Izzy's too, perhaps, had really poofed for good or was just taking a break from the forest.
@Staff
Still flatteded against the small knoll, Pica feels the strange sensation of.. a tongue..? She tilts her head sideways, not particularly sure why the other, before having given her a flight that Pica still felt queasy just thinking about, was now grooming her? Much as she hated to admit it, Pica was a bit of a sucker to grooming and began wriggling happily in the coarse grass and making strangled noises that could be interpreted as coos. But then it stopped. The grooming stopped, and it didn't make Pica that happy.
What did interest Pica though after that were to small twitches that Var's tail made as the fawn twisted her head around to stare at it intently, completely unaware of the other's look.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
Looking at Pica's sad face,
"She... she may not be where you can see her, Pica, but she'll be here. And if you talk to her, she'll listen."
Her ears folded against her head as she looked up at the sky and around them, then back to the little fawn.
"I think she'll always be with us somehow, Pica. If she can come back where we can see her someday, I know she will. But for now.. you have to know she's here in the way she can be. And she's always here. " Isobel nudged Pica's chest.

@Kaoori
The small fawn sniffled a bit, still aching for her mama, wallowing in self-pity too much to really understand that Izzy was probably feeling the same too. Beginning to whine in the back of her throat, Pica blubs out, "B - but I wan' Pai here. Here now."
She follows the other small of-same's actions of looking around and at the sky, but saw no Pai. Forlorn, the fawn slumps back down, shifting a little as the other fawn gently nudges her chest. "Pai ain't gonna come back from there.." There was confusion at this gesture, not old enough to comprehend the notion of 'heart' or 'soul'.
@Echo
Pica stuck her nose up in the air when Rossamund mentioned blueberries with a haughty sniff, though lapsed back into her usual self a moment after announcing, "Psh. Pica don't eat blueberries anymore."
@Staff
Busy in the moment, Pica continues her strange noise, occasionally having a leg spasm in response to her bliss at being groomed. She decided that grooming would be one of her favourite activities. Eyes half-closed happily, she blinks them open when the grooming stopped. Confused and about to demand more, Pica looks up, straight in his yawning jaws and cringed. Big teeth. The fawn eyed Var's mouth warily afterwards, but accepted the head-shift to hunker down stiffly, lamenting no more grooming.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!

@Staff It.. it was better,
It.. it was better, under the stalks of grass, and here the wind only blew in gentle puffs. Pica was fine with that. She was spiffy with that. And seeing wing-thing seem to go to sleep, the fawn considered this possibility of going to sleep too - perhaps to be able to get some rest after that... ride. Between drifting off and eying Var to see if he was really asleep, Pica began to feel a weakness in her ears so that they drooped, and in her eyelids too. Oh good, finally going to sleep. She had taken a small nap when the strong warmth beside her stirred, waking the groggy fawn.
Swiping a tongue around her mouth to clear the yickyness, Pica yawned and probably blasted a breathful of sleep-breath in Var's face, but.. maybe if Var liked the wind-grass (plains) then perhaps Pica could learn to like it to. Shaking her head sleepily, Pica mumbles out, "Nuh... Stay 'n 'xplore."
@Orin
cB Probably going to change it later, find it ugly. xD
@Echosong
Proudly, the fawn strikes a pose to annouce, "....Nearly. When Pica's really hungry she goes eat them, but now Pica's tryin' to eat flowers." Thank goodness the sting from the bee had faded a few days ago - otherwise she would never have been brave enough to talk at all.
