The little stag's green eyes were suspiscious as the large golden doe dance. She looked like Veil, she smelled like Veil, but he was sure that she wasn't. Just before, the real Veil had been sitting with him while he was sleeping, dressed up in purple flowers and a mini. He couldn't accept that he had let a stranger get that close to him, so he knew that this Veil had to be an imposter.
...then why was Ren nuzzling her? He tried to warn Ren, but he didn't notice. He laid his ears back and hissed at the stranger, moving a short distance away.

Lol, I thought the double mini Veils with the different flowers were hilarious 8D. I think I overspammed my screenshots folder. I tried doing something like that once but nobody else could see my old deer's double =P Myszka was terrified though, he thought one was fake, since he never saw something like that before and he's kinda paranoid by nature. So apology for his actions.
The doe's in rhythm smile sweetly at the alert male. Never breaking from their steps they simultaneously move. Left, right, left, right is the rhythmic beat their golden ray like feet move. They stop rapidly to nuzzle their child as the other one hisses. In sync the golden doe's laugh with the others, their eyes never fading as they show their joy. As one they speak softly to their eldest son "What's wrong?...Why don't you join us my dear..It's no fun when one is not present."

The small stag lifted his head, blowing some hair out of his eyes as he looked sideways. His mother's body was warm against him, and she had laid her head down upon the ground and closed her eyes to try and go to sleep. He was exhausted from so much playing, but it looked like his mother hadn't gotten much sleep either. Suddenly, a question occured to him, one he hadn't thought to ask before. "Mum?" he asked curiously. Her ears twitched in his direction, and he knew she was listening. "How old are you?"

Tired yet alert the doe lifts her head towards her son, dark golden ears flick constantly; as she listens carefully, ever word she heard, ever breath he would take she concentrated on all of it. A slight smile grew upon her slim bright face; emerald green eyes staring happily at the male she speaks softly and proudly. ”Ah my age….That’s something I haven’t been asked in a while. I guess you could say by appearance I’m 20 years old, but for my mind I feel as if I’m centuries old. I don’t quiet remember my birthday but I’m guessing it wasn’t that important to begin with if I can forget it so easily.” Her smile didn’t fade, instead it grew more and more the gleaming grin immersed from her muzzle. Laughing a bit she settles in closer to the male, nuzzling his neck slightly before laying the heavy head down. While her dark green eyes still are still fixated on him waiting for a response.
The small stag's steps became slower and more uncertain. He paused a moment and coughed away the mask spell, looking around for his mother. She was nowhere to be seen, or scented- he was always behind. It was his own fault he didn't want to admit to not being able to run further; now he was lost and there was nowhere to go. Sighing, he sat down- and then suddenly, hoofbeats sounded, and he looked up into a welcome face and he knew things were okay.

Oh well, it was just something random I decided to do for practice and I happened to like Veil's reference picture (damn, WHY CURLS? >=|). Haha, it was so funny watching Veil run around with no idea of where Myszka was in the Birch Forest. The only advantage to being small is that you can hide completely in trees without even big antlers poking out ^^ I could practically see the thought process:
'Haha, funny, he's faster than me!...Hm.. he can't have ogne that far... I'll listen for him. Nowhere on the map! Did he leave the Forest? Oh no; my son's vanished into thin air!'
Oh, god, Myszka was freaking out ._. Sorry for that, he was startled by Veil casting the crying mask on him, as well as the dotd antlers (okay, those both startled me too out of nowhere- didnt think that was possible- but at least I wasnt scared xD), but then Veil seemed to take offense at his brief fear. Poor guy, he kept calling out because he thought that she abandoned him ><
and then they reconciled at the Twin Gods and it was all all right.

The day was warm, and he needed the soothingly chilly water and also needed to put distance between himself and the other deer. He didn't feel scared anymore- no, just tired and confused. Yet, the golden doe walking beside him was always there and reliable, persuading him to dance when he felt otherwise and helping him laugh again. "Thanks, mum..." he mumbled when they finally sat down to take a nap. "I didn't want you to get involved, that I didn't. But I think... I think I can handle things better now."
