Once in his life he went by the name Juhani Lesonen.

Now, his name is Mato

He came in this forest when he died as a 32 year old man.

He is definitly not a deer. Carries the looks of a Parasaurolophus, a tall gazelle species, and the intelligence of a human. x x x x

Mato is fairly tall, though tends to walk hunched down.

He reeks of dust, dirt, and rotting flesh.

In the forest he removes skull masks from heads to bury them at the ruins. He'll flee when caught.

Oh well, you found us

Inside his mind he is a hero for reburying all those skull masks you carry on your face. Those are the remains of someone who once lived, and they have to be buried. This is how it is.

He is an anxious figure and social contact goes way above his head. Fearful of interaction, Mato tends to flee from any approacher, no matter age or gender. In his mind, everyone is out to 'get him'.

Mato has a very low self esteem, making him fearful of interaction with others. He is childish in his mindset and finds it very difficult to predict others. Thus, he rather evades them entirely.

He has great difficulty relating to others. He prefers 'objects' over others. These don't talk back and don't disagree with him.

In a way, he is 'saving' the skulls he steals from their owners. Mato believes those who disagree with him are simply wrong.

Reburying dug up skulls is his way of getting rid of a certain 'itch'. He believes doing this is a good thing, and blocks out the bad inside of him.

Fascinated with bad odors, and unbothered by them in general.

The sick, hurt and dead interest him greatly. Given the chance, he will try to sneak up to anyone in a position of no resistance. Just to sit nearby without the fear if being chased away.

Mato seems to find himself most comfortable around crows.

In his life he felt less than those around him, a mistake, someone to hate.

Used to be human.

Once in the forest Juhani decided to go by a different name, his memory of his actual life foggy. He remembers most often being called "mato" by peers.

He collects dead animals in a nook in the ruins, and spends most of his time playing with them and talking to them.

Mato has six limbs. Four deer-like legs, and two extra arm-like limbs at the front.

The large horn at the back is, like a Parasaurolophus', hollow. His voice always carries a little echo, and his yell is extremely loud and odd sounding. He never seems to use it though.

Can be unpredictable. Where he will flee for anyone and anything, there are days he will turn around and viciously attack whoever bothers him. This is where his limbs stretch, his sharp teeth show. But mostly, where his hands reach out and attempt to strangle you.
