"...thoughts here...."
November 12th, 2015
Yes, I guess I can say I'm gone now. It's been 4 months and I've looked at this site maybe twice. I have absolutely no desire to go into forest anymore. Herla and my other characters are alive and well, though they don't live here anymore. I'm as happy with them now as I've ever been and feel much more satisfied with my creations since removing them from this place. I used to think that would be hard or impossible and if I left, I'd lose them. I laugh now at that, the best way out is through as they say, and then you wonder what all the fuss was about in the first place.
Health challenges continue, and part of that is minimized computer time since it aggravates my conditions to sit and type and look at screens. After a decade dedicated to digital art, I pretty much exclusively do traditional art now. Loving my Copic markers. It has really helped me to find alternative creative outlets like the Ball Jointed Doll Hobby. Starting to sculpt and sew too.
Please don't leave messages here, I'll be unlikely to see them. If you wish to contact me use the email below.
Please do not ask for any of my pictos.

From behind her veil she gave the stag and appraising look. “I am called Herla, she said demurely, “A lady appreciates the kindliness of a gentlemen, I’d be happy to sit with you and share your most gentle company.”

Ahhh was that why I saw her nearby Saosin when I had Nightmare come over? I knew I saw her close by the area. XD Nightmare and Saosin are close friends (I think) so he wouldn't have known what to do if he was around for that lol XD ]]

When the white doe spoke to her, she kept her distance, choosing to watch the interaction a little first. Her only defense was running away on her quick hooves, being small in size and having no antlers of her own.
((Alright, bedtime for me. My brain is mush! ))
(Gehirn went back to his rude
He was, in one word, a grump. A grump that was very demanding today, expecting others to bend to his will. Gehirn had always been that way, but one day he would be more rude as the following, towards strangers especially.
Today it seemed he did not enjoy seeing Herla next to some unfamilair stag, and he was successfull in taking his place next to her. Though he knew he couldn't behave like that forever.
He chuckled. "I am sorry Herla. I don't think I should be chasing stags away, hm? Or, well, he left. I did not chase... Anyway. Are you feeling better today? I remember you sounded a little off yesterday.." The irish had taken a habit in standing over her. "I hope you know you can talk to me if you want to." He added, though more in a whisper. Gehirn quickly took a protective role when he got attatched to a doe. As he had aged, more often in a caring sense, as opposed to a lover's behaivor.
(Hope Herla's ok! Seems she's not having an too easy time in the forest huh?)
(( I came back to my screen
Despite herself, Herla was very pleased when Gehirn came to stand over her and Alain had run off. She had nothing against the grey stag, he had been good company, but Gehirn. Well, Gehirn was something all together more. And it made her feel wanted and feminine that he had acted to take possession of her from the other stag. She gave him one her more seductive looks, scarlet eyes peering at him through her feathers. Her heart beat hard in her chest at the sight of him. She had told herself she would control her feelings better next time she met him, told herself she should be angry with him. But she could not. She nuzzled him and carefully examined his wounds. When he voiced his concern over her she melted into him a little more, grateful to have his strong form over her. “It can be a perilous forest for a small, unattached doe.” she said wearily. Herla was more frightened then usual due to a series of unfriendly attacks that had occurred. She huddled under the black stag, trembling a little at the memories.
(( Don't worry Alain is
(Demanding rude fellow he can
Only when the forest seemed to have calmed down, and the deer playing around them had left, did the stag settle himself next to the small doe. He let out a big huff, looking around at any leftover deer that hadn't noticed his deadly gaze yet. Finally the stag shook his head, turning it to look at his companion. His gaze softened a little as he noticed those scarlett eyes stare at him, and a grin was born on his face. Atleast he had been honest, what she'd do with the information further on was up to her. Gehirn himself knew his relationships with others were rather open, Trees had accepted him as the stag he was.
"Is that so? Hm." He lowered his head to take a closer look at the doe. "Seems like it. Did someone hurt you?" His sentence seemed to end with a slight growl. He wouldn't just let that go by.
((Schutzgeist: Herla rather
Herla was mad at herself for being so happy that the black stag was sitting next to her again. He had told her he had a mate and she had been terribly hurt. But here he was, sitting next to her right now. His actions towards her had always been protective and caring. Wasn’t THAT what ultimately was important to her? She was so confused by her emotions. Whoever this other doe was, she was not here, Herla was. At the question about who had harmed her, she curled in on herself a little at the memory. The large red stag had turned on her much to her surprise and bore down on her with his large antlers, she had been utterly terrified. “It was a large red stag, I’ve been told his name is Saosin. I am a little bruised and sore, but I was quick enough to escape.” she said huddling into him. “I am so glad you are here Gehirn.”
"Ah. I see. Can't really
Though he was aware, most of the deer he cared for in this way seemed to leave him.
For the most part, Herla had
((Herla has no magical powers either. Rather plain, eh? I find "normal" characters to be more fun to play myself. They have to find REAL solutions to their problems, no magical fixer upers ))

(Quite the same here! No superpowers, I find it a bit silly myself. But I guess to each their own. I like my characters simple, they can develop by whom they meet and how they turn out solving problems. And not so much uhm.. Having magical ability's to help em out instead..)
PS, excuse my awfull spelling once in a while! Uhm, atleast I wouldn't be suprised if I screw up once in a while XD)

Herla gave Gehirn a pained smile. She knew he meant what he said. He would protect her if he could. And for that she loved him all the more. But no deer was all powerful and there would be times when she was alone. She tried not to think of that and enjoy this warm moment in the sun with the black stag. She gave him a delicate lick on his cheek, then nuzzled his neck. He had been injured too very recently, the thought paining her more. There where so many things that could take him away from her. “How are your wounds, Gehirn? I do hope they are not paining you overly much.
((And you are doing great with your writing! Especially knowing that you are not a native english speaker, that can't be easy! ))
(Yesyes! Faults are often a
My english stays pretty dandy unless I'm also communicating somewhere else in my own language. Then it all starts mixing up..)
"My wounds?" He seemed suprised at the mentioning. "Oh. Those. Barely noticeable, but thank you for your worry. You know, it's more often the words that cause the harm. Bruises and cuts, I care less about.." Gehirn smiled slightly, a little worried perhaps. "No, these wounds are quite fine. They're healing. They don't hurt me anymore. Don't worry." Even with his big and threatening posture, Gehirn didn't seem to fight overly much at all. If he could evade it, he sure would. The stag rather intimidated the opposite side as to fight them. But even then, his temper would easily get the best of him.
It worried him though that Herla seemed to have so much trouble. She wasn't the only one, that he was aware of. Perhaps this forest was more hostile as he had realized.
"Hm... Please be safe, alright? I bet there are other stags out there too that would protect you if needed." He turned his eyes slightly to eye the gray stag not far away. "I doubt I can be around all the time, hm?"
I should track this -- I
“Yes,” Herla nodded in
((Gosh, thanks so much Apeldille! I have fun playing my characters, I'm glad they can be entertaining to others too! I think your stag kept Herla company last night? ))
Yup, that was Ephiré :)
(( Ah, and here is Ephiré
"Exactly." The Irish agreed.
Gehirn set down again, watching the environment. It was curious how everything seemed calm when he was around. Though, he would always hear the most peculiar stories upon his returns. As if the forest waited for him to leave.
(Woops, forgot to press save. sigh. XD)
Herla could see a tension
When a large skull faced deer approached though she quickly ran to hide behind Gehrin.
(That was cute haha;_; Hope
But now it's time for bed. Was fun hanging out! Yay! See you next time! XD <33)
((It was fun! Everyone is
Everyone is afraid it seems, of Gehirn in drag! LOL!
Good night Misako!))
"Hold your breath, hide
When Gehirn had to leave,
Then the white skull faced stag approached them. Her fear spiked unnaturally. It was no deer. It was something horrible. Virgil too, she could tell was especially agitated. The thing walked slowly towards them. Virgil charged it, rearing and lowering his antlers. But it kept coming. They fled from it but it followed. Finally they thought they had lost it and laid for a rest by the drinkplatts. Then it approached again. Herla shot up, but Virgil was asleep. She called to him to wake up, she reared and shook him, trying to get him to awaken. The thing was coming closer. Herla could feel cold dread seizing her heart. She charged at it herself, trying to distract it from the sleeping Virgil. But as she neared it, the coldness in her chest made her stumble. It felt as if it was somehow draining her. Virgil finally awoke and together they raced off. She collapsed against a fallen tree, her limbs strangely heavy, they could not support her. Virgil stood over her as the thing came over the hill and slowly walked towards them again. Her fear ramping up again at the sight of it, and her energy pouring out of her so she could not stand.
Virgil told her to hide her fear and started to…dance? He urged her up, encouraging her to do the same. She struggled to comply. But she felt so weak. She managed to get to her feet, dancing weakly along with Virgil. And amazingly enough, the horrible white stag left. Just walked away. After he was gone, Herla stumbled back down to the ground, panting. Her terror was still there but muted. Now she just felt extremely weak.
(No subject)
Herla was getting weaker.
((Liam is such a sweet heart!))
The weak tone of her voice
(Thank you... ;_; I just feel so awful for Herla; she certainly doesn't deserve this. Poor dear... I love the voice you chose for her, by the way. Snow White is perfect~ c8)
Herla was greatly comforted
((Thanks! I adore the voice actress that played Snow White. So classic and beautiful. ))
((And lol, Liam, don't be going and throwing your purse at Saosin, it probably won't go well! Haha! ))
The young buck could not hold
(Oh my gosh, I know; I adore her voice! I love how women sang back then; there is this innocent and care-free tone to it~ c8)
(Lol! Not if he shoves a bunch of bricks into his purse; he could get a few good hits in! XD)
The sound of two stags
((The picture of Liam swinging a brick laden purse sends me into fits of laughter!))
Acting quickly, Liam
(Lol, me too! I need to draw that sometimes! XD)
It was two stags she knew…
It was two stags she knew… Lothair was a stag who had watched over and protected her on several occasions. And the other one, she did not know his name but she’d met the day before. He’d been kind and friendly. It upset her to see the two fighting now. She tried to call out, but her weak voice could not be heard. “Liam, make them stop!.” she was afraid one of them would fall off the bridge.
Liam had heard her desparate
(Gahh, Herla don't, Darcy's aggressive! ;_; I'm sorry that Liam has to yell, but...dangit Herla, lol! XD)
((Aw, Liam is all protector
Herla laid back down in exhaustion. The stags continued to fight. She just hoped neither one of them got hurt. She was tired of stags she cared about being injured.
(Meep...on a side note, I
(Lol yep, he's in
Liam watched the fight from afar like a hawk, and he sighed in relief when Lothair came trotting back to them. He seemed relatively unharmed, and Liam got up to nuzzle his friend when the monarch stag suddenly galloped back over to them. Acting out of reflex, Liam backed up until he stood over Herla and lowered his antlers slightly in a warning. He did not like this stag, not at all. "Stay back...leave the doe out of this," he said in an oddly low voice.
((Liam probably knows better
Herla was frightened again, the arguing stags where right over them now. She cringed under Liam's belly.
(Haha, so true! This should
The golden buck's heart pounded in his chest, and suddenly he feared that he had opened an invitation to a fight. That was certainly not what he wanted... But it seemed that the stag was too exhausted from the encounter with Lothair to bother with the young buck, and so with a snort he wandered off to the opposite edge of the pool. Letting out a sigh of relief, Liam gave Herla a reassuring nudge. "It is over now...you are safe. I am so sorry that you had to see that... It seems that he had taunted Lothair first," he spoke softly, and then looked up at Lothair and gave a half-bow. "Thank you, my friend..."
((My posts are getting more
(Haha, no worries at all
My dear...Herla, wasn't it?
Maybe sometime, when your dogs are away, we can sit and have a chat like before. You have my word I would never harm a pretty feather on your head, and I promise not to...instigate anymore fights with your friends, if it does not please you (smirk). Rile them, on the other hand...
Well...Get well soon, little one.

The irish stag had decided
But it seemed Herla had spotted him, and came to him instead. At first the irish had a smile on his face, pleased it seemed she preffered him over the other stag anyway. Although, his smile quickly turned into a more worried expression. Herla didn't look like her usual self.
"What has happend?" Gehirn questioned, bending his neck down to nuzzle the small doe. She seemed exhausted. It didn't take long before she asked him to sit with her, and so he did. "Are you alright, Herla? You look as if you have been running all night. No offense, really." He quickly added. It wasn't the brightest idea to offend a doe.
(Helloo! Man am I bothersome, haha. It seems all drama happend again after I went to sleep! It's always like that. Oh not aalwaaaays.... XD)
Herla thought she had caught
((Yeah, it was drama central after you left. Aww, sorry you missed the fun. LOL! ))
"A demon?" He raised his
The irish gently nuzzled his nose into her neckfur. "I'll look over you now." He paused. "Hm. Is there anything I can get for you? To eat, perhaps?"
(Fun doesn't wait for Mis. WEEEH.
Ahwell. XD)
