Many, many years ago, a pale dragon was born in a different realm. This dragon grew to be a powerful beast, yet she was a friendly and curious sort of dragon. Illrose lived peacefully among humans and other creatures for many years, until she one day returned to the place she had been born, only to find her homeland had been destroyed by humans. With cruel and powerful tools they had either murdered or taken captive the dragons who lived there. Illrose was nearly taken too, but she managed to slip away, as all the gentleness she had felt towards the humans faded, and was replaced by a fiery hatred. She waged war on the humans who had destroyed her birthplace, burned the humans and their terrible weapons, but unfortunately it was already too late; the captive dragons were beyond saving. In the end Illrose found herself alone, in a world of fire, smoke and rage.
Even after she had destroyed the humans who were responsible for the destruction of her homeplace, the hatred burned so strong in Illrose that she kept avenging the fallen dragons by burning down every village she came across. People screaming in terror as their homes were set on fire gave her a cruel satisfaction and only fuelled the fire - quite literally. Even places she had visited before, where she had lived among the humans for periods of time, fell victim to her destructive flames. She spared nothing and no one.
Eventually a group of powerful wizards got together in an attempt to stop the dragon, but these were good wizards and some of them had even known Illrose before she became driven by revenge and they believed there could still be some good in her, so they wanted to give her a second chance at life instead of trying to kill her. By combining their powers the wizards managed to cast a spell on the mighty dragon, to trap the beast into the weaker form of a human, and so they turned Illrose into a pale woman with white hair. This magic did however only last for a little while until the spell began to 'crack', giving Illrose small briefs of time where she could turn back into her true dragon form before being forced back into the weaker human shape. In the end the spell broke completely, but the human form remained a part of Illrose, only now she could change between dragon and human as she wished - without force. The magicians didn't give up though, they got together again, and this time their spell was a much more powerful one; they expelled Illrose from their realm, and trapped her in a different world entirely. The Endless Forest.
And so Illrose arrived in the Forest, far from willingly, a small fawn seething with anger after having been tricked by the magicians, but also confusion over her new cervine form and this place as a whole. At first she went by the name Ghost, feeling just as fleeting as a phantom in the beginning. But the small fawn grew into a large, antlered cow, and Illrose took back her true name as she this time began to wreck havoc within the Forest, taking her anger out on the forest inhabitats as the magicians were well out of reach. Smaller deer were sent fleeing as Illrose chased after them, finding the same cruel satisfaction in this as she had burning down villages... well, perhaps not entirely the same, but close enough. She clashed antlers with those protecting the smaller ones, not caring that she was seen as an annoyance, that she was hated and feared.
But as she remained trapped in this prison the magicians had tossed her into, things began to change. Slowly but surely not all the forest inhabitants were seen as playthings, some became individuals she respected, eventually called friends and family. Illrose engaged in playful spell wars, she swam in the pond, she danced and laughed, and suddenly she was one who has protecting the smaller ones from being hunted down. Finally one day Illrose was able to find a way back to her own world, where she could once again take on her dragon form, spread her wings and feel the wind in her mane as she soared high above the clouds. But the rage that had burned so bright within her had faded over the time spent in the Forest, so Illrose no longer sought to destroy everything in her path, nor did she feel like taking revenge on the magicians who had trapped her in the Forest in the first place. She settled down in a cave in a mountainside above a small village bustling with life, where she still lives to this day. The Forest has become a second home to Illrose, and even though she'll might be gone for some time it seems like she'll always return - sooner or later.
Johari window. Nohari window
When in a battle, Illrose will lower her antlers at her oppontent, both to protect her own body from blows, and to have her tines strike the opponent in the chest or flank. Due to her size she prefer battles where both - or all - opponents run around as little as possible. If her opponent keeps running around, she will give chase until she get tired, or give up. Can gain high speed on short distances. May also rear up to strike her opponent with her hooves, or bring her antlers down on them. Her biggest advantage is also her greatest weakness; her vast size.

This was his job. His duty. He dealt with dead things for centuries - but it wasn't until now he had to suffer to watch something, or in this case, someone, from within until she was taken away.
He felt sick. He wasn't supposed to feel, yet he did. The stag sighed through his nose, slowly and carefully laying his head down to rest on her motionless body. It was all finally sinking in.

Well, I didn't really expect much respond around her death, since it's basically just the black deer that is dead. xD I just wanted to keep her dead until I got home from my dad, where I could create some proper artwork, and play the game properly again, not just having it work on 5 frames per second.
And now I'm home, so she won't be dead much longer, lol. xD

The unicorn stag knew that was Illrose there, despite the blood and gore, despite the time that had passed since he last saw her. His expression was plain, perhaps thoughtful, as he gazed upon the corpse that lay before him.
"What ill fate has fallen upon you, Dragon Queen?"
For a moment, he felt something like regret. He was disappointed that someone who had earned his respect was no longer here. He was disappointed that he did not witness whatever creature had defeated the dragon-doe.
"I certainly hope your death had more dignity than mine."
There was no dignity in life.

"That is very thoughtful of you Quad, but I can assure you I don't need any protection." Illrose paused for a moment, looking at the large, macabre wounds that cowered her body.
"These may look bad, but they don't hurt, weirdly enough." With a shrug, she turned her attention toward Quad again.
"Can't you tell me something about yourself? Or something we have done together in the past?" She then suggested, as always looking for a word that could trigger her memory.

Illrose didn't say anything
"You." She said.
"I remember your voice now. Or...I don't know if it's really a memory. But yes, I do know now that you tried to heal me. And I think it worked, I think you helped bringing me back." A smile appeared on her lips, before she began to think again.
"Iugulare...infection...I...I heard talk about those skeleton wolves. That was because of her, wasn't it? And you saw Jack? How long was I dead? Why haven't I seen him after I woke up again?" Yes, a talk with the doe Kahlan had made Illrose remember her friend Jack, and Illrose still wondered why she hadn't seen him.
Quad's face lit up. He was
He smiles again, "If my light can help you heal, please let me try again. I want to do everything I can to help you get better.", his wings grew out again, and he began to glow once more, concentrating his light on the open wounds in her side.
Please work...please work..., he thinks over and over.
He nodded as well "Then I

Illrose remembered very well the tree she had woke up by, lying in a dried pool of her own blood. She had sometimes returned to that very place in hope that she would remember something, but it hadn't worked. She frowned by what the blackbuck said. If Jack had been there, why had he left her all alone? She tried to shake away the confusing thoughts and smiled at Quad.
"You can try, but don't feel bad if it's not working." She replied.
"These wounds are a bit...strange. As I said, they don't hurt, but they don't seem to heal up either." The doe quickly silenced as his wings erupted from his back again, and she turned her head and watched what he did with curiosity.
Okami;
Illrose gave a nod in return.
"Very nice to meet you, Akira." She responded with a polite smile. Illrose then shook her head at his question.

She stood completely silent, like a statue while the blackbuck used his light to heal her wounds. As she suspected, the largest wounds, the 'weird' ones remained as before, but the healing at least made her feel much better.
"I'm sure you did. I do feel way better now." She casted the stag a thankful smile.
Xemi;

But I warn you though, my posts will probably be very short. xD
[ Aww it's okay~ I'll keep
"You.. you're so.. different, but still so much the same." After a long bout of silence, Crucio had spoken up impulsively, having rested with the doe for quite some time now. His voice was reserved, quiet, more withdrawn than she would have ever heard it before. If only she could remember 'before.'
"I know you don't remember me, Illrose," he murmured, sounding distant once again.
"But I remember you. My name is Crucio; we.. were good friends. Perhaps not as close as some others, but still close. I fought alongside you many times, and against you once or twice, I admit. You were my mate's sister, but I was never sure if we knew each other well enough to call you mine as well." The stag trailed off into little more than a whisper, gazing off into nowhere.
"You.. know my ex-sister, Umay, and very well my subordinate, Judas. You two seem.. close, now?"
( Oh, you can write as long
Illrose enjoyed the silence with this stag. She did feel bad for not being by Umay's side, but she was sure Lume took good care of her. They didn't need Illrose to hang around. She was so deep in thought it almost startled her when the stag suddenly spoke, even though his voice were low. She lifted her gaze and looked at him as he spoke. When she heard the word 'fought' she frowned, but she didn't doubt the stag's words.
"Hm. I begin to understand how I've changed. It sounds like I've fought a lot in the past." She commented. Crucio was not the first to tell her she had fought someone. It was hard to believe, but still...it had to be true. Illrose then frowned again, confused this time.
"Your mate is my sister What...what is her name?" The only sister she knew of was Umay, and Crucio had just called her a ex-sister, so it couldn't be her.
"Umay is my sister...but why your ex-sister, did something happen between you? And I've been told Judas is a friend, that's how I feel about him as well. Nothing more."
"You did, but always for what
"You may not understand this but sometimes fighting is necessary. Sometimes it's the only way to.. set things right, so to speak?" The stag sounded unsure of his own words. There were so many things for himself and for his loved ones that fighting had only made worse and worse.
"Umay, her name's Umay. Both her and Kody were my.. ex-sister and ex-brother, they renounced the family titles for their own reasons and of course I respected that once I understand why they chose to do it. However, yesterday I lost much more than a title. I lost them as my dear friends, for my own flaws. I'm not mad. I'm not frustrated with them. I'm disappointed in myself for thinking of nothing but myself, it was my own fault and I can only pray they might forgive me some day, even if not entirely." A brief pause, and then he switched onto the topic of Judas.
"Hmm.. friends. Yes, you were friends. He always spoke very.. fondly of you," The stag muttered, smirking gently as the thoughts ran through his mind.
"I know he and his methods may seem questionable at times but I assure you, doubts aside, he would protect you with his life, Illrose."
"Hm, perhaps. I obviously
"I wasn't asking about Umay though, I know who Umay is." She then said.
"But you said your mate were my sister...so, who is your mate, that were my sister?" She asked, trying to make her question more clear this time, although not sure if she succeeded. What he said next made her frown again, though.
"I..I hope he don't spoke more fondly of me than he would any other friend of his?" Illrose really didn't want Judas to believe anything could happen between them, if that was what he was thinking.
"Hm, I guess I should be appreciate for that."
Edit; ( Thank you for having Crucio being rather skittish atm, it puts Illrose in a 'protective-fighting-mood', and she really need that now. xD )
The unicorn gave an amused

Sorry for the lateness xD
His words made her smile, but
"Dragon Queen...is that a nickname?" She asked. It was a weird nickname if it was. Dragon Queen...She then got a rather worried look on her face.
"Yes, I hope too. And...do you know anyone that would take advantage of my condition?" The thought made her rather nervous. She had swallowed everything she had been told the last couple of days, because...she had lost her memory, why should she doubt what they said? But someone could lie to her, someone could tell her something that was not true. The mere thought of this made her shift restlessly, wondering if she could really believe what she had already been told.
( It's alright. n_n )
( AHH sorry for replying
"O-oh, I'm sorry.. I'm.. I-I'm a bit... I'm feeling odd today, my mind's a scattered mess," Crucio apologized quickly, giving a low, formal bow of his head in regret.
"Lev.. Leviathann," He muttered, clearing his throat, now oddly dry, after.
"She and you disowned each other over Gustiro. You were choosing him over her, and Umay, because you loved him, in spite of the fact he continued to hurt and reject your friends and elected family. Eventually, you recanted and went to your sisters, and had been on very good terms until.. well. Until you know what happened."
However, his gaze shot back up to her at the mention of Judas. After a few long moments of silence, he swallowed nervously, unable to look at her as he spoke. Instead, he glanced aside shamefully, hiding the side of his face nearest to her behind those long black bangs.
".. No. Of course not. He is very loyal, always has been," he lied, internally debating on whether or not he should have told her the truth.
Judas' affections for Illrose, however, were not his business to become involved in.
Sorry if Pho's relentless
Sorry if Pho's relentless
Xemi; ( Haha, it's alright.
( Haha, it's alright. Poor Crucio. :') Lol, it's good to play her more Illy-ish again too. xD )
"You don't have to excuse yourself. I understand you've had a rough time." While she spoke, she casted a glance up to his missing antlers.
"Leviathann." She then said, thoughtfully. That was a name she couldn't remember either, and she was pretty sure she hadn't met this Leviathann after she..came back. Surely her sister would have told her who she was then, right? Illrose perked her ears when Crucio spoke again.
"Oh, I've heard a lot about the thing between me and Gustiro, but I still don't fully understand it all. I understand why I in the end was forced to choose a side, but I still don't get why they hate each other so much." Even though she had promised to stay away from the red stag, she couldn't forget that he was among the first that showed the slightest interest in her after she came back. But of course, back then she didn't remember who he was. Illrose was rather caught up in her own things, and she didn't notice that Crucio acted a bit weird as he answered her question, so she just smiled.
"Good." The last thing she needed was the same drama all over again, just with another stag.
Wingeddeer;
Lol, I don't mind. Illrose was too busy keeping up with Crucio to notice him much anyway. xD
( It's definitely good to see
"Hmm.. they hate each other because Gustiro would not allow you to be around your own family. It's undeniable how possessive and pushy he is, even if it is out of love for those he cares for. He was.. too controlling, I believe, and you weren't - aren't - some prize to be dragged and ordered around. He wished it to be only you two, and to banish everyone else from your lives." He paused, frowning, offering her a more thoughtful look.
".. That's what I take from it, anyhow, between what I've seen, and what I've heard, from both you and others. But I believe the main reason was that he did indeed want you entirely to himself, and would not permit your other loved ones to be be near you. When you were with him, very few, sometimes none would even be able to approach without becoming attacked by him. I was kept from my nephew because of him, whenever he was near Gustiro."
Illrose didn't say anything
"It can't be just his fault, can it?" She still remembered the day she had seen Umay and Jade double-team on Gustiro. It had been a horrible sight, so cowardly and unfair.
"I have been thinking...that perhaps I should talk to him." Meaning Gustiro of course.
"I know that is probably a very bad idea, since I'm supposed to stay away from him and all, but...I feel bad when I'm listing to only one side of this story, even if it is what my friends and family tells me. I feel like I should give him a chance to explain his point of view too." Illrose hadn't dared to tell this to someone else, not until now.
Crucio simply shrugged in
"I hate him. I'm probably biased. It likely isn't all of his fault, but what isn't, I couldn't tell you. Illrose.. I know you're not weak, but if you do approach him, will you.. at least ensure another that you trust is nearby, for your own sake? He's incredibly powerful. Slow, but strong. If he were to attack you, as he had intended.. I don't know. Too many of us view him as a.. mindless animal, I'm sorry to say, because we have no evidence to the contrary. But I think this is fair, to see his side of it. Just.. please? Have someone nearby? Not right with you, but close, within earshot at least of a cry if something were to go wrong?" He spoke out of honest concern. He wasn't as close to Illrose as some had been, but that didn't mean he wasn't afraid for her wellbeing.
"Well, then I have obviously
"And who do you suggest I bring with me if everybody I know are his enemy? I can't think of anyone who would let me close to him without interfering." She then said in a dry voice. It was still rather unbelievable that she had managed to fall in love with a stag that was hated by her friends and family. Shouldn't she have hated him too, if everybody else did? It was like a piece was missing in a puzzle, to make the picture complete.
Crucio simply nodded in
".. I'd offer myself. With my.. antlers gone I'm hardly a threat to him. Yes, I do hate him, but I also respect your wishes to gain his side of the story as well. No one can make you do anything; you can refuse, and I'll accept that too graciously. This is merely a request you may disregard, it's just.." the stag trailed off, his features becoming soft and sullen;
"We.. already lost you once. We don't want to lose you again."
( Sorry, there was so much chasing that it was hard to get a reply in. Aah, I feel bad for Illy getting pushed aside like that. ;; Crucio's just so easy to push around right now, he didn't know what to do. I hope she doesn't feel ditched by him.. he'll seek her out in the future. )
When Crucio offered himself
"Thank you, Crucio. It mean a lot to me that you want to do this for me when you don't even like him." She stopped for a moment, suddenly deep in thought.
"Oh, you won't lose me again. Even though it is hard to tell who really 'have' me right now. I mean, if a deer comes over and say they are my friend then I have to believe them, but that doesn't automatically makes me feel like they are. It's like I have to get to know them all over again." Illrose didn't know where this sudden stream of words came from, but it felt good to talk about it, and Crucio was surprisingly easy to talk with.
( Haha, yeah, I know, lol. xD And no, as I wrote in the other post, Illrose don't blame Crucio. :') )
Crucio simply nodded again in
"Well.. you did and do have many that honestly were and still are, or call themselves, 'friend'. You were very well liked, it's not surprising. But I can understand why you might feel that way. It must be difficult, meeting so many at once. I hope I've not contributed to that burden." A weak smile tugged at his lips as he finished speaking.
"It may sound odd coming from me, who's now a stranger to you, but I did miss you. I knew you'd come back, though, that your death wasn't 'Death' at all. I guess I should though, hm? It's my job."
Illrose gave a nod to what
"Not at all, Crucio. It have been very nice to talk with you, so thanks for that." But she then tilted her head, curious at what he had just said.
"What do you mean? What is your job?"
The stag smiled at her
".. Death is my job," he responded hesitantly, frowning. It was no mystery why learning this would put many deer off of him.
"I'm a.. collector of souls, a psychopomp. It was the duty charged to me by my fathers, Mephisto, and Lucifer. Devils they were, and a devil they made. Outside of this forest it was expected that I would claim and banish souls unworthy of heaven into hell when they left the world of the living. But that was there, this place is.. so different, different Gods, different beliefs. Many are reborn, given a chance at a new life. The world I come from is so very, very different than this one. I suppose it's no longer my job anymore, then," He concluded, gazing off through the ground in front of him, as if there was something buried shallow beneath them.
".. But Death still exists here, even in a place like this. I'm living proof of that.. if you can call this living."
