Gun shot in the forest?

I was standing near the Drinkplaats, not doing anything. The pictograms hadn't spread yet, when I heard what sounded remarkably like a gunshot sound through the forest. It could've been a very sudden crack of thunder, but it was a bit short for it, and I ran around but I couldn't find any rain. I was wondering if anyone else heard it or knows what it was.
It was very perculiar, I just stood there going "what?" for a few minutes.

I thought Abiogenesis was for special dates during the year, or is De Drinkplaats kinda Abiongenisy all year round?

De Drinkplaats has small abio

De Drinkplaats has small abio effects all the time that increase with the amount of players that are close to the fountain.

What Bubblywums said, Mini abios can occur randomly in the fountain area. It was probably just a lightning strike, which can be pretty loud. I hear it from time to time, though I'm rarely facing the right way to actually see it xD

It also could have been the flower explosion effect. That makes a similar BAM! sound.

I t happened about four times

I t happened about four times while I was playing in that area of the De Drinkplaats, Saw the goldfish yesterday and several of the ideals, rainbow and Bam. Gets better when you have more deer playing around the De Drinkplaats.

I have heard random

I have heard random "gunshots" way before there ever was this new area but I'm sure it's just another part of the normal sounds in the forest o-o if that's what you heard anyways it's a short, loud BAM! type noise >.>

There is the ambient 'branch

There is the ambient 'branch breaking' noise that kind of sounds like a gunshot as well.

It's just a random sound

It's just a random sound effect that will occur every now and then. I've heard one where some sought of gate swings open and slams too, maybe that is the so heard gun shot I keep thinking about <8D
