On the seventh of October, died at the teeth of Niklaus, assisted great by Z. Awoke from slumber to being forced by the red beast. Felt it penetrate his lungs and was aware the wound was mortal. Ever the persistent and spiteful bastard, was determined to cause as much pain as he could before bloody lungs rendered him incapacitated and a final blow was delivered. Fought alone against the pair for the first time since he had encountered them. Inevitably succumbed to the wound and Z's poison, but not without Niklaus tearing his throat out before he fell. Swiftly faded from life as his blood stain the idyllic forest. Left with bitter thoughts in those few seconds.
Dully aware of those that visited his corpse and tried to otherwise remove pieces for a meal. Returned to life several hours later with the majority of his wounds remaining. Perturbed perhaps most by the length of time it took this round before he became aware of his situation and that other were around. Loosely made note of all, but was most acutely aware of Persephone and Néli. Struggled through the haze of returning thoughts and pain before Néli and he went to his home where the very distraught Lark cared for his wounds and helped to keep his mind distracted from emotion that threatened to overwhelm him. Managed to perhaps reassure both her and himself while coming to several conclusions on his own shortcomings.
Came to blame himself for the event of his death, blaming it on his own negligence and how he has come to relax in the forest. Concluded he should be vigilant as he is while there. Subconsciously struggling that he has lost a "safe place." Considers himself arrogant for ever assuming it was. Still, was pleased to spend his next several days with Néli and his new lamb, Caora. However, has since been laying low, primarily staying home and giving his body ample time to recover. Determined to no longer take the threats of the without the gravity it requires. Falling into old habits and withdrawing, though it is likely indiscernible from his usual self given his general demeanor. On the rare occasion he is in the forest, unaccepting of new company while he is still vulnerable.
(On a side note, planning a new bio for him, no longer keen on this one)

Doing better in the company of friends and beginning to move on. In better health and spirits. Has been peaceful of late, though has put a number of schemes into motion. Reminded of a few things, like who he truly is and who he can truly rely on, whether people know he views them as his rocks or not. Has had his opinions changed on numerous individuals opened his mind to some, closed himself off to others. Less and les does he find himself caring for the opinions of others, indifferent to strangers and acquaintances, even loose friends. Outer walls have become reinforced and some have been cut off from the more vulnerable reaches without him necessarily changing.
Once again feels in control of himself, comfortable in his skin, safe in a way. Centered.
(updated a few relations, still need to fix a bunch, UGH, added to his quirks, found a few typos, missed others)

Life had been falling back into place slowly after the fight with Brent and some trips into the deep woods. Finally, the Berserker had begun to find his footing back in the world. However, recently felt a pang, and felt a growing dread. Soon realized something had happened with his sister much in the way he had sensed it for his elder brother. Almost wished to avoid it but after deliberation, went out to her home to search for her. Discovered her frozen corpse and the ransacked homestead. In some ways had feared this as an eventuality. Investigated but found the perpetrators had made it too far. Shut down and performed funeral rights for her in accordance with viking culture. Returned home to deliver the news to Jaksa and Kaari but has otherwise not spoken a word of the events or anything else. Fluctuates between plans of revenge and his grief.

Recovering from his FUN TIME torture time and picked a fight with Breant. Feeling relaxed and like his old self for the first time in months. Glad to have "earned" wounds. But plans to make further attempts on Brent as he felt like he was "talking to a wall" so to speak >.> HAS DONE A LOT OF other stuff but LAWD the updates I need to write. Fuuuuck.

After days spent with Izumi and avoiding talking about himself but also feeling he owed the Yokai, was finally able to again reach the forest so he could find a way home. Nearly fell onto Néli who was reasonably concerned over his well being. Dismissed it despite his obviously haggard state and instead interrogated her on who harmed her. Agitated and left unable to do anything in the moment. Tried to limp toward the pond at some point but was unable to get far on account of struggling to walk without screaming.
Eventually was joined by his sister who JUMPED him and nearly bit her for that, fearing she'd break one of his partly healed ribs. Immediately irritated and argued with her over it, feeling she cared more about how she had inconvenienced by his disappearance rather than his own actual well-being. Snappy with her, and bordering on vicious when she left him alone.
Managed to return to his home. While not admitting it, currently does not enjoy being completely alone in the dark as a result of waking up in his own grave. Has vague memories of others trying to help him and has been informed someone wanted to eat him. Wants to seek some out but concentrating of his ability to walk before spending more time in the forest. Wants to bright eyed and bushy tailed for his foes... And the foes he'll likely make.

Working on an actual update, but left for dead in the forest where he had been abducted days ago. Unconscious, feverish, labored breathing. Dying. Subconscious awareness.
Taken from the forest after being tended to by numerous individuals, upon all realizing he was unlikely to make it and someone deciding they didn't want to see him get eaten. Left behind a massive pool of blood by his tree.

Recovering, but not ttruly feeling in shape for the rut just yet and find himself unable to enjoy much of anything. Did not particularly enjoy the rut last year and finds he doesn't have the attention span or care to keep a herd this year.

An update in less than a month? Who died? Tyr, that's who. Went on a trip to unwind after so many things beginning to stretch him thin. While not suffering nearly as much as some from the loss of Varg, still struggling to deal with how many people he has lost and thinking about how he is likely to lose those closest to him and be unable to do anything about it. Booked it to another, unfamiliar realm with only his horse and his thoughts. Enjoyed being out in the wild, surviving off his hunting skills and seeing new thing. In general, enjoys expanding his knowledge and getting to know new worlds.
As the time passed, went back to Bydofn, gave his armor to his smith to be repaired, collected a bounty and went to his other grandfather's world. Made his way deep into the mountain, far from the imperial city to hunt drakes so he would have something to exchange in the market rather being unable to buy anything again. Aware he wouldn't be able to trade for much but hoped he'd be able to turn it into something after multiple trades.
However, in the process of tracking one, felt himself torn and yanked through reality, only to be in the forest with his foreleg in the jaws of a beast and airborne. His shoulder was dislocated but was initially to confused and enraged to notice and chased the toher down, likely snapping numerous others as he did so before tearing into Tyr and tearing his throat loose. Witness Romulus tear the head off and riefly considered tearing into the wolf-skulled but reason got the better of him and shredded the corpse to pieces instead. Had no intention of eating any of it due to a very human palette but sat on the corpse to keep other scavengers away until he found out what had happened from Isiel and realized his shoulder was ruined.
Sought out Liam and was grateful the other assisted in relocating it but also chatted him up for a bit. Tried to make light of the fact he now had to go out and track down his sister in draconic mountains while much worse for the wear. Eventually left to submerge his shoulder in the stream and used some magic to freeze the water to it but had nothing to really care for it, nor the time. Sat with Neli with Ice clinging t6o this shoulder before disembarking for the least prepared rescue he's ever dared.

Recovered quickly from the fight after the venom had worked out, given the majority of his wounds were superficial, with Sen's care and attention. Still, made the mistake of drink a few times in the first few days, got drunk with Send and then in another realm. Awoke in the bed of an elderly woman who had enchanted herself to appear young and beautiful. Angered by it, but more so mortified that he hadn't noticed the spell, even drunk. Leading to self doubt and unprovoked hostility. Still, doesn't necessarily hold the deception against the woman perhaps as much as he ought. Left as he figured he may have to explain what happened if he did act against her and came to realize she was a powerful enchantress.
Had a conversation with Idunn following his completion of Hróðvitnir's task, a king who has never failed to agitate him. Coming to believe there are no Viking men suited for being kings or jarls... All asshats. Including himself. Things came out in the conversation, including her feelings and his curse. Feeling as though he failed her. Feels terrible about it all. Thus, taking jobs, avoiding familiar faces and making new "friends" who he maybe kills people for in exchange for sex.

Holy shit so much has happened. Which I will not manage to cover. So recently:
After the raid, has been lingering around the forest after speaking to Phyrra and brooding over the existence of Mikill. Never like him and with his laundry list of crimes, started to become a bit obsessive with the idea of killing his uncle. Frustrated by the consistence absence of the male whenever Ingólfr was present and his lingering scent for the days he was not. Grew moody and testy, with no explanation to the countless new and familiar faces he was rude and aloof to. Paired with other issues less readily evident, was bordering a vicious line.
Got what he desired on a rainy, silent day with Néli, when he noted Mikill's presence. Asked Néli to spy on the other and kept a distant eye out for his friend. Eventually got up and decided he was ready to go and attacked Mikill in the company of an unknown doe in the old oak. Said nothing and gave no hint as to the reason of his murderous intent. Agitated when the doe (Osha) started pestering and spearing his legs while he fought with Mikill. Went after her separately on numerous occasions and categorized her poorly. Envenomed but didn't initially feel the results until he had lost a great deal of blood. While appreciating Néli's presence as a distraction to Mikill so he could go for the beast's back side, also a subject of further loathing toward his bastard uncle. Had every intent to fight until he could no longer move, wearing down and left with blood loss as a result of a few deep wounds from the tines. But after another run, tripped as a result of his fatigue and smashed his head into a rock as a he went down. Watched Mikill depart as he struggled to get back up and get his head straight.
Enraged by yet another departure and decided he would go down the low road the next opportunity he had. However, stopped thinking of things fairly quickly as adrenaline faded and pain and weariness set in full force. Suffered from the venom of Osha, something he would note later. Checked in on by Néli and spoke with her briefly before sluggishly making his way to the idol and rinsing things off. Soon realized he'd been poisoned and drug himself onto the bank when he figured out he would drown if he passed out and Neli was unlikely to be able to drag him out on her own. Started to pass out on the bank as his energy seemed to divert into neutralizing the venom and stopping the bleeding, though the rain was making part of it difficult. Did not notice anyone else or realize what had happened and eventually fell completely unconscious. Whisked out of the forest.

23rd of December 2018
i'm sorry, it's been over a month and it's always rough when I wait that long
After dealing with emotions result from his conversation and admission to Hraustr in less than positive ways, distracted himself with the company of a few. Learned about a family enemy, took information on the male in case it should return to haunt him. Was "hired" to dump Lalitha in the pond at one point, which he enjoyed. Eventually turned into Ingolfr inviting Neli to Bydofn to a nation he felt most similar to her homeland from what she had described. Took her to the largest city in Cataj that they could visit and return from in a week. Took a few days to reach the city and provided her with information on the native species of plants, animals, and fungi as they traveled. Found it a little easier in Cataj with Neli with him. Was mostly mistaken for her bodyguard rather than a traveling mercenary this time, thus his presence was tolerated better in the noble sections. The return home was almost uneventful. Hounded by a young wyvern when they were nearly to the forgotten temple. Ingolfr managed to lure it away without too much strain. Not opposed to slaying the young beast but find fight draconics to be too much trouble if there is no reward involved. Purchased things for Neli while there that she could keep as far as attire goes as well as a gift to give to her sister. Found the trip rather relaxing and a nice change of pace. Glad to have returned to an omnivorous diet after spending over a week as a vegetarian. Was rather pleased to see the scorched head of Hriedarr left in Vargheim upon his return. Had a notion of where it came from.
In the weeks following, found himself rather relaxed, pushing aside the gnawing notions of unfinished business and pouring over the books in his grandfather's library for an answer to what occurred to his hand, but was coming up short. Tried not to let it get to him, given the state of his hand seemed to be holding steady and had not spread at all. Figures he has until he dies to figure it out. While aware of the danger the curse poses, growing a little more comfortable with it as time progresses. Was summoned one day by Caspian only to find a Lasair turned to stone. Puzzled and in a way, excited by the prospect of a curse he could fix. While by no mean happy for Lasair being turned to stone and determined to find a way out of it, was only able to stand Caspian's grieving for so long before snapping at him. Felt it misplaced and waste of time when it was something that could be fixed. Thankful Bronx kept it together, very nearly lost it on Avalon after she appeared and ran her mouth. Moved Lasair to the ancestral palace for safe keeping while her worked over this, left her with Caspian in one of Persephone's personal gardens, hoping it would be a decent place to stay while she waited, having realized early on that her spirit was still very much present in the stone.
Keeping much to himself as he started looking for solutions to Lasair's curse, was surprised one day to find Elektra and Perikles in the forest. Spoke with the, and pointed them in the direction of a few that he thought could help them learn more about their bodies here. Glad to see them, though. Had a particular urge that had been worsening his mood and rather than putting effort into seduction and risking strings and messy hurt feelings, located one known as Rose as he'd heard tell of the other's profession, shortly after shopping with Libel. Took Rose to his home while the children were out and had a relaxing evening until he took Rose back to the forest. Was left in a good mood, even if Rose was a little more talkative than he was used to.
The day following, was joined in his relaxing by Melrakki. Had half a mind to inquire about Hreidarr, but did not feel particularly motivated to do anything but stare at the stream. Noticed Hraustr hovering in the distance and eventually after some minor prodding from his cousin and disgust with his own cowardice, went to to his uncle. Surprised by the topic of conversation and relieved that Hraustr was apologizing rather than condemning him for reasons only Ingolfr knew. Left with one issue laid to rest and grateful for that. Disclosed a few things to Hraustr. The day following, stuck about Neli and found a fight nearing her and another. Was content to watch and stay a barrier but soon engaged when the fiery lion barreled into him. Resulted in a scorched mouth, fur and paws until they were driven off, focusing on the fiery beast, rather than Wollunka, as thus far he had not seen Wollunka instigate anything whenever he had taken note of the other. Observed the conclusion and after jumping in the pond to stop his own smoldering fur, watch Woll soak in the pond, feeling relaxed after a little death. Did snarl when Woll cozied up to him but was content after putting space between them. Joined by Neli after Wollunka left.
The next day, found Hraustr, Melrakki, Liam, and a wolf he has seen often glue to Melrakki's side looking rough from what he assumed was a fight with Hreidarr's twin. Assuming vengeance was involved given who is reasonably sure for Hreidarr's severed head and the physical similarities between the stranger and Hreidarr. Checked in on Hraustr and Liam, assumed Mel to be fine and mainly isn't sure about Melrakki's shadow just because he thinks he's being judged by the other for reasons known only to Ingolfr...
Later noted an intrinsically familiar presence in the forest. Had a vague notion of who it might be, give the strength in which he felt drawn. Hit with a feeling of dread and forced himself to investigate. Spotted the stranger and immediately recognized the male he had never met for who he was to the Berserker. Rooted in place as her stared anxiously at his sire and his company and eventually left after bristling at the pair and sought out Runa. Found some comfort being near her, suspecting she would not urge him to repair some long forsaken bond. Disclosed as much to her after little prodding on her part and eventually took to sitting at the family den. Approached by his sire's company, Lyssa. Was asked why he was staring, a reasonable question he realized later but only met her presence with unmistakable aggression a loud snarl. Told her to leave and was only left simmering when she did. Subconsciously craved a violent outlet for his emotions. Ended up forcing himself to meditate to calm his mind. Acknowledged how he felt but put those feelings away for a rainy day when he had opportunity to let them out on someone.
Ended up approached by Sohan shortly after. Had caught part of the conversation the youth had with Varg but cared little for it. Instead, noticed a festering disappointment growing for Kolgrimr upon realizing that the viking king knew of his bastard children but had no desire to play a role in their lives, or that was how he perceived it. Given his earlier discover of his biological father, felt some need for validation, that he was not the same as any of these absentee fathers, despite having sired no children of his own. Took Sohan out into the woods and showed him a few things, such as hunting and how to make good coffee. Returned Sohan to the forest the next day. After, went to Bydofn to keep up his research on fixing Lasair's stone condition. Spoke with some of the scholars of the city and university who lead him toward alchemical cures relying of basilisk blood. Picked up books on the subject and headed home, thankful to have found a possible path to the solution so quickly.
In the last few days, happened upon a lone child, seemingly an orphan. Given recent events and his own issues of abandonment, started keeping an eye on her. Fed her milk and provided silent company. Was relieved to see Elliasen again in his time of stress though was not yet ready to disclose the appearance of his father, given it seemed she had her hands full at the moment and he was not yet certain how he felt. Yesterday curled with the little child and carried her near his family den where he was joined by Neli, as he had grown uncomfortable with his father continuous proximity to the Viking den. Late in the evening, was approached by his father and asked why Ingolfr had been treating he and his companion. Met the other with silence and hostility until his ability to speak was questioned and his sire didn't leave. Figured his father lacked the ability perceive blood as he did, as the reason would be clear if Grim possessed that talent. Couldn't bring himself to admit the truth, instead stayed vague and threatening and was threatened in kind. Found his sire's arrogance maddening and found his temper flaring murderously. Had Neli not been watching and both his new "charge" and Neli been possible collateral damage, likely would have launched himself at the male. Instead, played a small card as the male turned his back on the viking. Spoke to Neli at length following and nearly smothered his little charge. Received comfort from Neli he felt entirely undeserving of but at the same time, held no desire to taint her image of himself. Did point out a few of his own weaknesses (
physical ones, i don't have emotions) when she seemed uncertain of herself. Ended up promising her he would help her learn to defend herself.
Returned mountains outside Gearasdawn that evening, having located a cockatrice there and figuring it would decent practice before tracking down a basilisk. Was less than pleased with the result, give that he was half blind out of necessity for most of the fight and his armor was rended by a nasty bite that left him heavily poisoned. Succeeded in killing the beast, but left treating serious wound, nullifying a poison he did not have an antidote ready for and would take days to prepare now that he had the corpse for ingredients. Negated the worst of the affects of the cockatrice's venom with a potion he had previous prepared from a magically infused charcoal. Resulted in his blood and other fluid turning black, but better than calcified skin and partial paralysis.
Today, he soon found the pale child that he figures he ought to name at some point if he's going to keep this up. It doesn't seem proper to just keep referring to her as "tiny thing," "child," "girl," and "midget." Doesn't feel up to naming her just yet, positive he'll choose something stupid, as naming a possibly human child something vulgar seems like a bad call. Picked her up and carried her to Neli after assuaging Liam's concerns for his current state. Soon picked up on something a little off, a nagging feeling and investigated Phyrra after the conversation with persephone that he was in some manner responsible for Phy. Found her crying gold and after having realized she was crying, investigated. Left disgusted by what he realized had happened, not enraged, but was left somehow feeling responsible. Made her clean herself up in the stream when she wouldn't come with him, carried her around in his mouth. Then brought her to sit with him, the baby, and Neli. Got up at some point and went to talk to Hraustr abou this Hreidarr lookalike. Got answers from Melrakki and sort determined he'd have to smack Mikill's head into something on Melrakki's behalf. Settled back down and also decided he'd stop avoiding the yule celebration despite his current hangups...
4th of November 2018
Had been lingering about the forest and among family, unwittingly looking for a support system and his emotions fluctuated between indifferent, ambivalent, and despondent. Doing his utter best to mask it. One evening managed toward indifferent, bordering on pleasant as he went home with Sen. Had enough to drink where he made a move. Usually confident in himself about attractive people but given he genuinely cared about Elliasen, had been cautious about pursuing anything physical with her. Was left without regret as a new door was opened in their friendship, though quietly adamant about no romance, as his personal convictions have ruined his idea romantic love. Self deprecating enough to believe he doesn't deserve it, regardless.
After the “high” provided by his antics with Elliasen, crashed incredibly hard. To some extent, was able to deny the feelings and masked what he couldn't. Unwittingly sticking to familiar areas for the solace they provide. One day, spotted Hraustr and Liam. Strode up to the pair, having some suspicions as he was being his usually unnervingly observant self and has his own experiences, but was indifferent to it, thus didn't dwell on it. Spoke to Liam briefly on the subject of Ashe and Kissare. Also spoke on the deeds of Roanen vaguely, though enough detail imply what had happened. Then Liam broached the subject of he and Hraustr's apparent distance.
Given the self medication and his less than stable emotional state, stated how he felt bluntly, under the impression that he would be dismissed regardless. Cared no less for Hraustr than he had as a boy, but felt Hraustr had come to view him like the people of Bydofn. Had a thick skin for most, but not to Hraustr. Unable to sit comfortably with the idea that the king viewed him as a lesser being, an outcast, worthless aside from the services his blade could provide. Thought perhaps viking prejudices could be playing a part if Liam had disclosed details Ingólfr had let slip.
His word were met with perceived indifference and sarcasm which brought a spark of irritation that he nurtured to override emotions he had no ability to deal with. Responded with a sharp tone to provoke a similar reaction. Was in no emotional state to properly resolve their matter and would have preferred a fight to what he hiding. Could tell he struck a nerve, but rather than having Hraustr lunge for him which he could have dealt with, was left with words that returned his self doubt and wore away at the foundations of his facade. Cracked and was not entirely able to withhold his emotions at this point, started to slip. Showed a glimpse of how he felt in his next words, laid himself as bare he could afford soon after. Could tell he caught Hraustr by surprise and was left feeling helpless with retort. Liam intervened and Ingólfr retreated after some final words. Returned to Riki and immediately sought the solitude of the deep woods, laid in the cold and stared at the sky, unable to sleep or do much of anything.
Visited the forest on and off following, trying to make how he felt go away. Even saw Idunn at one point, had been concerned, but couldn't be drawn out of his depression. Eventually ran off. Had made a stop to try to speak to Persephone about his fate and his family, but was quick to note Hraustr was around and left a minute after arriving. Rode to Yngvarr to seek something to hold him steady.
this is what you get when you pretend you don't have feelings.

Roughly a week ago, made good on his promise to bring pain to Roanen. Had been taking shelter in the oak when he spotted the brightly hued stag by the pond. Decided it would be a good time and he needed something to relax with. The moment the other's company left, charged and tossed unsuspecting Redknell into the pond. Trotted down to the bank and waited for the other to get out and was rather calm for the ensuing brawl. Was brutal but didn't fight with any intent to kill. While he found the bloodshed soothing, eventually grew bored as the event lacked a notion of finality, he'd accomplished what he had set out to do, and his earlier nerves were calmed by the physical pain and the taste of blood on his tongue. Pulled out of the fight rather calmly, deflecting Roanen's attempts to ciontinue and breifly settled at the pond to take a drink. Had noted the shift in attitude but was not particularly concerned until he realized Elliasen was being hounded by him. Charged back in, irritated, and drove the Cruormancer off. before settling in the pond with Sen at his side. Cleaned his wounds and recovered his energy to a degree.
Left in a state of zen after the ordeal, though kept distant tabs on Roanen and a particular blue lion that had been pointed out to him once by his uncle's shadow as one loathed by his grandfather. Saw him as the one to finish Roanen. Debated at length on whether or not he might instigate another brawl in order to do something pleasing to his grandfather, decided he'd save Haakon for a... different rainy day. Relaxed in the old oak and spoke to Ashe again, told about Kissare, and made a promise to Ashe, which was meant to seem generous but more so aimed to make him seem like a good Samaritan. Wanted to be kind to Liam's siblings, given he does enjoy spending time with Liam. Trotted by Roanen's corpse at one point and was asked a question by a stranger, but didn't have many answers for her aside from what seemed safe to disclose.
Days later, approached by Kissare. Honest with the questioning pretty stag to a degree. Made the fight seem like his own decision in order to protect his client and was more or less asked to attack Haakon. Told him he already intended to at some point to which the other seemed a bit smug about. Didn't care, regardless, simply just doesn't want to be the reason his client is attacked, as he takes all his work very seriously. Was paid in silver bars for his work and also reassured Lalitha he would protect her identity. Also
Socialized in part over the passing days, tried to get Þórunnr to talk to him, as she was being distant and ended up wrestling her. Tried to talk to her but she wouldn't listen well, decided he would keep at it in his usual way. Most recently, after a conversation with the nervous doe he had seen about Roanen's corpse, was drug off to Manhattan by two of his cousin's on the Crimson side and made to go out drinking. Ended well, spoke with the "detective" he'd met the other day at one point, went bar hopping, and instigated a brawl. Decided that he likes modern couches, even if he doesn't fit on them.

As rain settled into the forest last week he found himself spending quiet time in the company of a few. At one point, he was approached by an acquaintance for a job. Accepted it with little hesitation, as it seemed relatively safe and given what he was told, did not expect there to be any backlash from the rest of the forest residents. Sought out a familiar face from his youth, Ashe, though her name escaped him given the time that had passed for him. Typical of himself, did not elude to it and spoke with the mute at length, discussing differences in the culture mostly. After, he spoke to great white beast on his target.
While spending time healing and waiting for his wounds to heal, he soon recalled a conversation with his grandfather Neo. Over a week, he found himself dwelling on things he had been avoiding for months, feelings of inadequacy previously laid to rest resurfacing in earnest and causing the ever rare depression to set in. Despite accomplishments and achievements, every personal goal he had set and met, felt worthless. Felt oppressively undeserving of all he had, his relationships, the care he received. Fell into an emotional pit and found himself reexamining every aspect of his life. His perceived failing relationships, such as that with Hraustr became point he used to destroy himself in his head. All the while, kept his stony exterior intact and hid how he felt from everyone. Bottled it, as was his usual method for dealing with his negativity, though unable to completely do so and starting seeking a way to prove himself, both to himself and to Neo, as well as those be believes he failed in some way.
Overcome by an intense need for validation. Mingled with his crushing depression, combed over an ancient tome written in a dead language, of a dead god that had been trapped in an artifact crafted by the twins and imprisoned in the Dark Lands of the Twins’ realms. Revisited the inscribed prophecy for the destruction of the artifact and this god. Decided he would seek to fulfill it, something he had thought of in the past. In his damaged state of mind, considered it to be a sound idea, no less dangerous than any previous expeditions he had undertaken. Started preparing for it the following day. Told his family he would be going away on a task, though not of what. Made a passing appearance at his other grandfather’s celebration but ducked out early and with Jaksa’s help, opened the gate to the Forsaken Lands. Went alone, having no desire to risk any other himself in a land known to drain the life of all who venture there.
Found the Darklands profoundly bleak. While determined, he found himself nearly overwhelmed by a sense of hopelessness. While knowing himself to be near his target, had difficulty reaching it and could not find the ruined temple in the timeline he had set for himself, dealing with swaths of unnatural monsters and freakish creatures plagued by undeath. At one point, had to hide for six hours up a cliff so that he would not be massacred by what he could only describe as a hoard. Was able to make it the temple relatively unscathed. While the lands surrounding were quite somber, found the temple interior intrinsically unsettling. Passed through misty, eerily lit halls, surrounded by dancing shadows and flitting presences. After an hour of maneuvering through crumbling stone and sinister corridors, found the altar he sought with its rusted sword. Surprised by its state, but nonetheless moved to it, putting to the side his growing feeling of dread. Reasoned with himself but soon lost that battle as another notion became overpowering the closer he drew to the deteriorating blade.
Without hesitation, removed his glove and grasped the hilt of the blade. Could not have regretted it more as moments later, felt whatever had been trapped in the blade course into him. Fell to the ground as the blade disintegrated and agony unlike any before flowed through him. Lost consciousness as it became too much to bear, unable to have any sort of final thoughts.
Awoke with no knowledge of how much time had passed. Confused as to why he felt fine until he saw his bare, right hand. Appalled by the withered state of it and the coursing patterns over it. Found no less function in it, but was quick to wrap it as if he had burned it before pulling his glove back on. Aware of the aura it gave off but has no idea what it means aside from something terrible. Untroubled on his journey back to the gate, though with no desire to be caught as he was in his current state by his family, ventured instead to the forest.

While not entirely enjoying the rut, participated out a sense of duty. While well aware what some want out of the rut, was against having children, or even the thought of more, given his home already feels crowded and he find himself roaming the woods beyond his house at night. Still, met a large number of individuals and sparred with others. Still didn't quite get the point or understand what he was doing, only found a few quiet faces he might seek out again. Found the spars lackluster by his own standards, expecting to see blood at some point or feel sore. Still believed it was wise to have taken his ungulate form for the rut, given he was only used to claws and fangs otherwise and he would have likely been chased out of the event. Occasionally sought solitude or single company. Tried his best but didn't really enjoy the event like many seem to have.
On the last day he was around, caught his daughter beside Hreidarr. Immediately went to investigate and heard the last words of the conversation, which was not only a threat against his entire family, but his daughter. Said one sentence before he attacked when Hreidarr's back was turned. Lost his temper and rather than fighting smart, only wanted to brutalize the other bastard. Aware of the growing audience but only had it on his mind to cause pain or kill, having little care for what happened to himself in the process. Went... BERSERK.... like a berserker.... I'm not sorry. Eventually got locked up with the other with tine stuck into him and tearing him while he grappled and got closer to Hreidarr's throat with his fangs. Likely would have been game over for both had Joarr not shouted for him to stop. Gathered his emotions quickly and shoved himself away from his uncle and looked to his familial audience and close ones. Resulted in Joarr having to essentially chose between Hreidarr and Ingolfr. Wasn't particularly worried about it, even with a cheap ploy made by Hriedarr, but the his uncle left and essentially abandoned Joarr.
Felt for Joarr, but felt no guilt for bringing it about as he had believed it was inevitable. Sent Kaari after the emotional Joarr and soon had sen and Runa at his side, staying on his feet the having difficulty with the blood loss. Looked to Liam and Hraustr who were behind. Starting to feel some sort of way about Hraustr and intends to address it when he can breath properly and endure another fight. Was eventually treated by Lysa in the forest and sort of fell over. Planned to seek her out when he felt a little better, curious about her abilities that he had seen once. Talked to Kaari a little. Surrounded by Elliasen, Kaari, and Joarr for a while before heading home and talking with Joarr.

When he returned to Rikr a few weeks ago, was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly things went. Found Joarr to enjoy himself after he... Kidnapped the child so he could introduce him to their grandfather. Introduced Jaksa and Kaari as well. Overall, was most anxious to introduce Kaari to Varg, given that he was not sure how Varg would take an adoptive great grand-daughter. Caught up with his sister but was floored when she called him old and was reminded of how he looks... Spoke with Varg later about housing arrangements and was beyond frustrated when Varg insisted that he would pay for the construction of it. Argued at length but was forced to concede. Insisted he would pay him back... Had to again concede that it would be in service and labor rather than silver. As well, entered himself and Kaari into the summer games, only took up horse racing, as he was positive he would either lose or hurt someone in any of the other events. no hraustr, it's bad if i accidentally snap someone's neck because i don't know how to chill
Over the next week, visited the forest frequently, catching up with old friends and family, as well as meeting another cousin. Found Elliasen first and was surprised to find how she had matured as well. Learned that they had both experienced years absent, though his was... a bit longer... His initial "saltiness" he had gotten over at twenty about his graying hair has returned. It's just stress, I swear... Was reminded of her thoughtfulness and felt like a horrid friend, though kept it mostly to himself. Also found her human world made him a little uneasy with all this
demon magic electricity.
Ran into Runa next and was amused when it took her a bit to recognize him. Enjoys the reactions of surprise he gets in his feral form. Met Melrakki as well and spoke with Runa briefly, as well as mentioned Joarr to Melrakki, given they shared a father. Picked up many vibes and then spoke to Runa about Hriedarr. Deciding he'll wait to pass judgement on the male until he meets him, but finds himself silently taking responsibility for Joarr. Found Hraustr another day and amused by his reaction to him, mainly the immediate suspicion and such. Dealt with it calmly as ever and just smile when Hraustr was convinced finally of who he was. Noticed the stag behind him, his scent and another thing through his innate abilities, but kept it to himself. Spoke to Hraustr and caught up with his uncle. Found Joarr in the forest and amused/irritated by the boy's antics, but kept an eye on him once Varg left and spoke to the boy after pinning him under a paw, then to Melrakki in a tongue the boy did not understand and disclosed who Joarr was to him. As well... Maybe another day or that day. spoke a bit over scars and asked if he might have a sparring partner from him.
Eventually did have a sparring match with Melrakki that went quite well. Caught up again with Þórhalla. Had trouble placing her name, given it had been years for him. Ended up chatting and soon being offered a job when he mentioned what he did for a living. Was taken to Ydalir and found himself sick once he'd gone through the portal, due to the nature of her magic. Went through a dark forest with her and was taken to an abandoned house to await someone. Meditated for a few hours with his sword in his lap until the woman returned with a man who he spoke with a bit, though was irritated, as he didn't get details he was used to when being asked to hunt down a man. Could tell the other was used to a fearful reverence, something he would not receive from the dispassionate mercenary. Was a bit thrown by an incident involving the man and Þórhalla. Left feeling a bit spiteful, but went out for a drink with the woman before summoning Ghalla and heading out on his task, armed with far less information than he'd have liked.
Found his target with some difficulty. Was left oddly conflicted, as he could see no reason his target should die and that he respected this man, Avaldamon, far more than his employer. Was even given dinner by the man's family. However, had given his word, thus got over his conflicting emotions and soon went hunting with the man who he then offered a fair death and had to argue to get the other to accept it, as he did not feel right with a simple execution. Sent the man's horse home with a lock of hair before burning Avaldamon on a pyre and heading back for the royal city for his pay. Was left uncharacteristically frustrated and dealt with it in his usual way. Found Þórhalla when he was ducking out of a home before a husband came back and caught him with his wife. Spoke to her for a bit before heading home.

Returned to Riki with numerous individuals in tow, along with some gifts for family.
27th of May 2018
Disappeared with no trace, departed Riki to see his uncle. Plans to complete his training. Progress can be found in the journals tab as he records his life in these times.
26th of May 2018
With the date of his departure soon approach, has found his nerves on end. Has warned a number of those he cares about of his departure, having had a brief conversation with Liam, as Hraustr was one of the few individuals he wanted to warn and could not find. Had unusually earnest and "open" conversations with a few, found acceptance in a few.
Returned to Riki and sought Varg to take his mission so that the Rikians would accept him. Oiled his sword with concentrated poison and set out to slay a berserker of legend and his beast. Barely managed his task with the assistance of Ghalla. Used tactics generally not seen as acceptable by other vikings, thus could not bring the corpse home, as it showed the signs of magic and alchemy used against him. Brought back the bear, as its wounds were inflicted by Ghalla and took the man's head as his trophy and proof of victory.
Brought the severed head to his grandfather, relieved for the acceptance and praised he received. Ate and tended to his wounds, dismissing the thrall that was sent to tend to him, due to mixed reasons, mostly that he never accepted hesitance on that which he could do himself. Eventually went to rest and found Eydis, saying a final good bye to her and asking her to watch Ghalla for him while he went on a trip. Asked Ghalla to ensure no harm would come to Eydis.

After entering a mini-coma resulting from an energy deficit that save Sen's life, was drug into the forest, then later in the day, taken back by an uncle in-law whose wedding he had attended and watched over by Islief. However, today, he came to, confused but not fully recovered. Typical of himself, felt out of place and excused himself, struggling to open a portal get to the forest. Unsure how wise an idea it was, but did not want to burden anyone else with his well being and struggled to walk off and seek company that would not question his state.
Eventually made his way over to family, but noted a fawn that was all sorts of hurt. Figured out what had happened in his muddied brain somehow and summoned his Aunt to heal the child. Taking Note of Liam's ability to soothe the child, having remembered the Volt oft in the company of his uncle.
Soon left alone once the fawn could again walk. Spoke at length with Persephone about the incident and calmed the Amazon's temper until an ANGERY mom showed up. Found it laughably ironic that the masked doe blamed Persephone for the injuries on her fawn. Let the grown ups talk but occasionally made a comment to his aunt so she would not needlessly escalate matters. Settled down with the mare once they were left alone and asked her to tell him a war story. Was told the story of how she had earned her first moniker, Kingslayer.

(he's too big for his mini, I can't... T.T)
Spending time with familiars and committing things to memory with his proving to the vikings coming shortly. Aware that is about the time he will be considered a man. Thus far, has only revealed his impending departure to a handful of individuals. Excited but terrified at the prospect, aware of where he is going and the risks involved. Has read a few books, forcing himself through them, wanting to learn of the place he is going and the danger he may encounter there. Finding it will be very different from what he has experienced thus far. Plans to visit Runa and Hraustr's kingdoms before he leaves. Was not too upset about the assassination attempt, given he did not know the cousins well who were the subject of it and does not know why. He can only speculate it must have been significant for a few kings to put everything at risk for it, thus decided he would be wary of them as well.
Was spending some time with a new does when drama broke out. Unfortunately, slept like a rock through some of it until his aunt roused him and he found a bloodied Sen. Stood over her while the pig beast was chased around the forest, unsure on what to do, wanting to keep her safe. Runa eventually pointed out that Sen was likely to die. Saw her brother was in rough shape as well, but was only concerned about his friend, thus took her home and cauterized her wounds with a dagger. While he thought she might pass out from the pain, he found her heartbeat to be getting slower and weaker, knew she was dying. Brought her back instinctively from the brink of death by give her nearly every ounce of his energy, but in doing so, left himself in a coma. Found shortly by Ghalla.

A few weeks ago, found himself shaken to his core shortly after his grandfather returned from the raid. The boy had heard the horns and gone to see everyone, but was immediately bewildered by the strong pull he felt to the toddler being brought in from the boat. Immensely curious as to the strength of the sensation he felt toward this familial tie, took one of his books and went deep into the woods and tried his hand at scrying into his own past. Discovered hidden truths and a web of lies that shattered his perception of reality and family. Kept at it for nearly two weeks, cutting his arms for the magic he used but due to his lacking skill, was often left with blurred visions and even further confusion.
Through it all, learned that his blood mother was not Cyneburg, but another, the same mother as Eydis. Learned he likely had another unknown sibling. Learned that he was taken by some deal for Cyneburg, but could not find the details due to the natures of his visions. Finding it exceedingly difficult to come to terms with the fact he had been lied to and tricked by the one he loved most and the one whose death drove his desire to fight. Encountered Torfastr after one of his attempts and had his wounds briefly treated. Also at a point, divulged a great deal to Yngvarr, relieved by the warrior's acceptance and felt closer to him than before.
Performed one more attempt to get the truth from the past but failed to glean any more. Left frustrated and broken, caving into the despair he had kept at bay through intense dissociation. Laid on the ground alone for hours until he worked out something that gave him comfort and shoved the rest aside, deciding what really matter. Shortly after, went to Varg to inform him of what he had learned after bandaging his wounds. Left out that he had discovered it through his own magic and instead said his aunt, Persephone, had discovered it for him. Was then made aware that Eydis was not his only sister.
and then more shiz happened

Had his first fight with Iðunn... Sorta. He made the mistake of mentioning he would be going to train with his uncle. Things immediately went south as he mentioned a few details, though he kept a number of the details to himself as a result of her reaction. Was left by and felt hollow for the first time in a while.
20th of March 2018
The Úlfhéðinn was in Ýdalir to rescue Iðunn at Åsleif's request. He did not hesitate at the proposition and immediately went to his friend's aid. After days being stuck in the village, accompanied by his dear Ghalla, eventually got a solid lead to Iðunn's location. Was horrified to find her in the mud, beaten and bruised, filled with rage and no one he could turn it on, given it was a village of men and even with his warg, those were not odds he could handle yet. Took the Dawnbringer to a stream and cleaned her up and slept beside her until she had the strength to return to the forest, sheltered by Ghalla.
Returned to the forest with her the next day and found Åsleif. Stayed with them for a few days following, playing guard dog and otherwise sticking to Iðunn's side.
15th of March 2018
Today, visited the raining forest and after a brief conversation, disappeared without a trace. Took Ghalla with him, wherever he went.
As his leg healed, continued his training and work with Yngvarr, as well, has been spending spare time with his "uncle" Caspian among others and training in other fields, while learning a great deal from his uncle Victor on other useful subjects. Has been visiting the forest regularly and has taken up training Elliasen as well. At some point, achieved his first draw with Caspian, though aware Caspian takes it easy on him, thus simply left feeling hollow. However, did dislocate another man's shoulder shortly after which left a feeling of progress. Does not find Perikles' new trainees to be particularly impressive yet, though certainly expects something out of Caesar over Vincent.
As well, found one of his cousins running through the forest and crying. The source of her distress was an attack on Torfastr which he quickly investigated and got the badly wounded man back to Vargheim after getting a party of warriors to the woods and dispassionately investigated with another party that was late sent. Did learn that Runa is rather close to Torfastr after this.
Met a pale young fawn after visiting Neli and read a book with her, though was eventually distracted and left anxiety ridden as a fight got too close to himself and the two soft children he was spending time with. Thus anxiously followed it to ensure it would not lead to the other children. Knew he was not really a match for the adults, but if worst came to worst, he could distract them and bail to the pond. Was not fond of the idea, however. Eventually the fight grew and broke up, though he was left to watch and guard children as the largest of them got too close for his liking, and with all he's heard of large, violent types in the forest, left apprehensive where he would have been fine alone. Eventually the group moved to sit with some pups and he was only distracted when he noticed the big guy near Lasair, whom he had met formally a few nights ago. Darted over until the big guy left, gave Lasair some details, but ensure she knew he was just nervous because he was nervous before heading back to the pups and fawns and relaxing.
Yesterday, loosely met Iðunn's mom and spent time with Iðunn and Xiao. A good day.

On Valentines day, was given two dozen magically frozen roses to give out to his friends by his grandfather, Neo. Gifted all who had spoken to and run into with a rose, but gave six to Iðunn. Varg had also rubbed on Iðunn's tree when he had settled down there one day and had been joined by family. Covered the scent once then his grandfather did it again. Inwardly fuming though only indicated his rising temper with a scowl and flattened ears. The second his family left, deeply gashed the tree with his claws, and in general through things about as he lost his temper alone, preferring to have no one witness him. Iðunn came in the following day, upset by the scent marking of her grandfather and after calming his friend, moved her tree, though felt incredibly defiant by it all and left marks on the old tree, even in places he need to climb the bark to reach. Also mark Iðunn's new tree. Sees it as theirs.
Participated in the winter games of his home. Was unfortunately still injured from the wound cause by Siraj and also the youngest in his age category, thus was at a disadvantage among his family members and the other residents of the Viking lands. Despite this, placed very well. Dulled the pain with herbs and a bit of ale. Won second in ice skating, then first in skiing, fishing, and wrestling. Proud of himself and was rather pleased with the silver, decorated knife, and withe tiger pelt he had won. Declined the puppy and saw no real use for the skis, already a rather practical individual. Has his warg, Ghalla, who is his primary source of transportation, thus could not think of why he would want skis, planned to give them to someone else at a later date.
An infection in his leg soon resulted after the games, given how much strain he had put on an ijured leg, the dirt and such he had gotten in it, destroyed the scab, etc. Developed slowly given his immune system, but still was left with a nasty infection. Was eventually treated by Freya when he grew tired of other's in the presence of his uncle Hraustr and wandered off to see 'Woodrings' (Woody). Freya was sweet though he was not able to appreciate it given his foul mood, though was in the end grateful for her wound care. Also got a jar of honey out of it which is supposed to be going on his hurt leg... But... Half of it goes in his stomach.
8th of February 2018
Recovered from his migraine toward the end of the wedding festivities. Had a great deal of fun misplacing valuables that belonged to unwitting drunks and other mischief. As well, passed out "drunk" for the first time and had his face drawn upon. Shit happens when you leave your shoes on. Has been training almost every evening and getting results at least, though no where near where he would like to be yet, nor where he thinks he should be. Gifted Iðunn one of the daggers from his grandfather and is often glued to her when he notices her in the forest. Also ate a snail and cut his tongue on shell pieces. Been hanging out with Deimos and Þórunnr. As well ran into Xiao and spoke to her, though the conversation was cut short as she seemed to have an obligation. Not bothered when she did not return but was covered in small children soon after and fumed internally.
Today he met a new fellow after seeking Jude out thought the initial meeting went poorly. Had sat down by Siraj since the child had been staring at him. However, while his general awareness alerted him, he did not have time to react before he was bitten by the snake child who had the intent to hunt him. Did not know the motivation but immediately retaliated and chomping on the fawn's shoulder and only released when wailing began, "satisfied" he had returned the favor. Of course, still irritated by it and rose to his feet to speak to the fawn's apparent guardian, Neli, another fawn who seemed sensible and sensitive. Did not necessarily feel a need to justify his actions and when she said that Siraj didn't know better, asked if she thought he learned. Surprised by her offer of help and did not exactly turn it down, but unfamiliar with medical herbs thus told her he could help himself more or less. Sat down as Deimos came to clean his wound and relaxed there until Deimos left and he returned home for a bit for "wound care." Drank some ale then wrapped a piece of wood in leather to bite, grabbed one of his daggers, stuck it in the fire the cauterized the wound himself. Drank a considerably larger amount after to take care of the pain to a degree then returned to the forest shortly after and sought out Roche. Had the bite treated as well, though was a moody bastard (heh) and does not trust sweet Sauvi because nothing is free, drinking, and she touched him.
27th of January, 2018
One of his many aunts was married Friday in a ceremony... He did not care to attend but had to... And had to be cleaned up and dressed in finery which he did not appreciate. Has thus far been meeting a few members of the forest though only one not of his world has spoken his tongue, Iðunn. Bonded to her quickly given that he could understand her and her situation. Immediately felt protective of her. Has been trying to pantomime his words with others of the forest thus far and got the furthers with Roche, who was patient with him and knew some of a similar language to his native tongue of old English... But in the end cemented the fact he needed to learn this fourth language which he greatly resents if for no other reason than he's impatient and he does not believe it is fair ;/ Ran into his other grandfather, Neo (Exordus), at the wedding and spoke to him at length proud to show him what he was learning on his own and how much easier the axe is for him to swing. Eventually broached the topic of his frustration with the forest's language barrier. Was given an option to learn the language to the skill of a native speaker in an instant, but that it was not without cost. Jumped on the opportunity, though again warned and thus gifted with Neo's understanding of modern English... Along with a "migraine."
