new ref for esll in the works. the other one just wasn't sitting well with me. didn't think it represented his true physique correctly, and i really wanted to hash out a better, more vibrant monarch design. annnnd also an addition of lil' freckles on the insides of his legs and also his skull is his face now |: still got a human one, just... y'can't see it unless he removes the skullface ~magically~ but oh shit i gotta go running before it gets dark so no time to explain
edit; OH OH and teeth! added sharp teeth bc that's just who he is now and i just remembered i forgot something shit brb gold tooth also, which is actually his portal key but it can double as a weapon, sure

wouldn't normally do this but i'm oddly proud of my lines, so here- have a preview of Bénézet's reference sheet. been afraid for yeeeeears to design his antlers (THANKS JO!) and i'm still not entirely comfortable with the anatomy. ;; still think it looks kinda funky, actually. BUT OH WELL.

so i never can really finish anything. (: tryin' to get better about that- in fact a couple are still very much a wip IF i can get past the initial sketch phase which... there's proof i'm not good at right there LOL. some are weeks old and some are years old and have been cluttering my pc for too long now. little bit of ben, little of miri, lotsa eli heh, one of esll. thought i'd share first before sending them to the trash bin!
aLSO and because it's an important disclosure, my handwriting is god awful when blown up to such proportions so disregard plz. irl i write teeny tiny and that's the only time it looks somewhat decent and... well don't know about legible but you get me.

just wanted to hash out his new doggy ears. i don't... give my characters redesigns often, and if i do, they're subtle changes, nothin' too overwhelming. with eli though, he somehow always ends up around canine and canine-esque characters and i've really been enjoying the irony of it considering his anxieties around them. doge but-not-a-doge sort of thing. sorta playing with another change for him in my head that i've yet to implicate but i've just about murdered my eyes over this so aNOTHER DAY.
