The white turned his head, glanced over to her, a slight smile on his face. "Hey little one...hmmm isn't cold over there, no?" he tilted his head slightly.
Kacie hesitated to answer. She was a little... afraid of this man, how friendly he was, but at the same time so creepy. "Yes, mister," she said, a little shaky.
"I guess, misster," she couldn't help calling him 'mister', even with extra emphasis on the s. He seemed so nice. When he had asked her about her having no 'mama', she was taken aback. She didn't quite know what a 'mama' was, but she guessed that it was somebody who gave you warmth. "No, I don't has a 'mama'. What is 'mama?'"
A frown appeared on his face. This place had his ways of growing orphants out of nowhere. For a moment his eyes wandered to the piece of cloth she wore around her neck gave him an idea though. He shook his head slightly. Too early to follow any theories. "Isn't important, yes? Heh eeh I'm no.. 'Mister'... can call me Jack yes?" he nodded, tried a friendly smile, not that successful due to the scars.
Kacie looked at Jack frowning. Had she made him angry? She didn't know. She wasn't sure, and she didn't really understand 'feelings'. "Jack..." she said, "I like name!" Jack had a nice... what was the word? Ring? What on Earth did 'ring' mean? And what's 'Earth'? She was thinking of things that she didn't know. She didn't notice him looking at her scarf. Kacie didn't really care for the scars on his face, she couldn't really see them; the storm had really begun to settle in and cause the figure of the other to disappear. She gave him a friendly smile back.
"Thank you..." he replied, casting a short grin at her, before he had another closer look at her. "Do you have a namem, too?" for a moment he silenced, before he went on again, slightly hesitating. "Should come closer, yes? You'll freeze...." It felt strange to say that. After all he was the one who usually refused close contact to others... but even he was freezing in this cold... a good reason to break usual habits.
((edit: I have to got to bed... uni... I'll answer you tomorrow again? :D))
"Name is K-... Kac-.. Kacie!" she had a little trouble pronouncing it, but she had said it. But she wasn't sure who had given her the name. It was just there. She was a little hesitative to accept the invite to warmth, but Kacie was freezing. Even with the scarf, whatever it's mystical fairy-dust intentions. "Yes, Jack," she said, purposely avoiding the use of the word 'mister'.
He casted another grin at her. Obviously he didn't mind she wasn't following his invitation immediately.... he simply went over it, not insisting further. "Kacie.... hmm? Hehe... nice to meet you, yes?" he chuckled and nodded slightly. A shiver ran down his spine, he shifted his weight slightly, trying to find a more comfortable position against the cold.
