Hi, there. I often see some confusion when other deer try to interact with nameless, and I'd like peoples opinions and methods on how they interact with them. (the rest is under the cut)
1. What do you do if a nameless attacks you?
2. What do you do if they start eating fungi and pine cones, but of course never cast spells? Here, I have Myszka spellspam there for a while, but it doesn't always make them happy.
3. How in general, do you view nameless deer? Love them, hate them, neutral? You can give your deer's IC opinion or your own.
:3
for all your questions i have
Yes, I always am polite to
1. I often just have my deer
2. I just let them do what they want to do. I mean, they'll learn sooner or later. xD
3. Oh god, I think they're the cutest things ever! They're like little puppies who are clumsy and don't know what they're doing, and they always seem to love to nuzzle! I always view them OOC because...well, they don't know that we're IC chars.
1. I would probably have my
2. I would throw a spell or two at them, or perhaps just given them flowers instead. c:
3. It's most often nice to meet a nameless, especially if they actually hang out with your deer for a while and don't just run off immediately. And playing 'Simon says' with them is always fun. : D
Oh! I have feelings about
1. In general nameless deer aren't nearly eloquent enough to actually /attack/ you. It has never happened to me before. At best what they do is use "aggressive" emotes which they in most cases don't seem to exactly understand. I think it's very out of place to interpret these things as attacks. If we ((me and my deer)) get the aggressive emote thing, we usually play it off. Sometimes we use the "fear" emote as a sort of teaching (('this emote is a negative emote')). But it wouldn't make sense to feel hurt about or be offended by it.
If they do actually seem to understand body language the way most community players do, I'd call troll and probably mess with them, play along for fun ((while making it clear that we're not serious about it)), or if it really gets too much ignore them. I have yet to actually see this happen though.
2. Spellspam a bit, usually. Or flowers. Sometimes you know they're just trying out different buttons. But when they seem to want to cast a spell themselves, there's not much you can do there I guess. /shrug
3. Honestly I do like to mess around with them. Sometimes I just like to have some completely random meaningless interaction or I like to try and understand how they understand body language. Like that one time where a nameless kept bowing, and we kept bowing back, and that was pretty much the only thing they seemed to understand for certain. So we just played along with that. In essence, it was meaningless, but apparently for the nameless, it made sense because others reacted accordingly.
I don't see them as a nuisance. Mostly I see them as a fun break from usual interaction. Isn't it boring when you always understand each other. It's fun just figuring out. A lot of the enjoyment I get from the forest is figuring out what the other deer's intentions are.
I have fun trying to show namless deer what certain actions mean, even when they don't really get it. Usually they understand dancing though, so dancing is routine for us.
If you're interested in this topic, I've had a similar discussion topic a while ago over here.
1: I usually ignore them if
I usually ignore them if they start attacking, which is what I mainly do whenever I don't get a deers actions towards mine. The're either trolling or just experimenting,so I sometimes play along with them, using the fear button is what I usually do,like Unplugged stated. ^^
2:Hmm,I don't understand why they would'nt be happy about that.I assume that since they are players exploring the game they would want to see how forest magic works.I do that too, lol.
3:I have a neutral relationship with nameless to be honest. If they're not attacking i'll play right along with them,or keep them company. But often times I don't understand what they're doing and my deer will just stare at them for awhile untill they, and I understand whats going on. xD
@ Pepsi, Yuppers, it's
@Snowsauria Hm, spells don't stay on, though the do seem happy - do flowers stay on them?
@Unplugged- Like laughing after showing antlers or fear, I suppose. I checked out the topic though, and you brought up some good points, which I thought were funny- but then there were lots of others, too, that made sense.. so I think I will stick to just friendly teasing or whatever with nameless
@Winged- Their actions are pretty confusing ^_^;; and it takes a while to figure out their 'language', since the Endless Forest does have its own language in a way and nameless/new deer have their own until they adopt the common language. But that moment when you udnerstand them is an 'OH, I GET IT!' xD Though, I try to do something right away, since staring at a nameless for too long always makes them go away from my deer.
1. Usually I shake my head
2. Usually I just cast spells on them and make "happy" type emotes when they get spells. It usually turns in to a fun game of hopping around, or they walk away.
3) I view nameless deer as "children" as does Poplar. When she and I encounter them we try to treat them nicely, unless they do mean things like blatantly troll. Then it is alright in my opinion to use "Angry" emotes at them, but discouraged because it shows that you are upset and trolls like that.

1. I normally just shake my head no or tilt my head in confusion. Or walk away if they seem persistant.
2. I'm guessing that some people think they'll be able to get permanent spells with or without a picto.
3. There are times where I hate them 'cause of their constant need to moo, but then there are other times I'm more patient and do my best to entertain them. Most of my IC deer dislike'em though, lack of patience.
1. I've had a nameless
2. I'll spellspam a nameless if they seem to enjoy it. If they don't seem phased, then I won't really make much of it, and usually will try to get them to partake in a more passive past time like sitting instead.
3. I really like nameless! I've had some really great times with nameless deer, and sometimes it's just kinda fun to have one run up and snuggle you for no reason whatsoever, and do the same thing in return. I think they're a blast to work with, even with characters that tend to be more stubborn in the IC category. It's too much fun to pass up, since I usually take it as they know those deer are new somehow as well, so they have to play nice. :>
1. If they do it once or
2. I don't much know. I will give them a couple of spells and play with them I think.
3. Well, I like them. They are newbies, they are learning things, they are usually nice and I will always take their actions with some reserve. My characters are, I could say the same in this, Jennie and Danieru are threatening them same way as fawns, Calder not much, because they're big, but he still has got some tolerance to use.
