Under the cut...
I took my Aunt to this really neat museum I have never been to before called the Museum of Mobile. It has a lot of artifacts and exhibits from my city and tells the story of how Mobile came to be. Here are select photos from the museum. Enjoy

Old Statue of Liberty that was on one of our buildings

Cannons are common in Mobile since we were part of the Confederate Army.
There's even one cannon between a fork in the road on Government Street.

Can anyone guess what this is?

If you guessed
toilet, you're right! It's ceramic on the inside!
And now...carriages!

No horses were harmed in the making of this carriage.

This was our favorite

I thought you guys would like this Native American.

Detail of his headwear

Resemblance, anyone? Nah, I wish I was part native but I'm not.

Notice anything awkward about this picture. It's subtle...

If you haven't spotted it yet, the 'deer' on the left are actually hunters

Kinda looks like a triforce on that helmet.

This is the best picture ever

Katana from WWII

An ironwork bench I thought you guys would appreciate

Someone fell off their horse...

I really liked this one, thought it would be a good face to try to draw sometime.

Somebody ELSE fell off their horse...

Some neat Native American sculptures.
That's it, guys! Hope you enjoyed seeing these

That's so neat. I wish I
Posted the rest of the
Yeah Mobile is an interesting city. We were inhabited by various Native tribes (Notably the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Creek), then we had both French and Spanish settlers so many of our roads and towns have Spanish influenced names (Dauphin Island, for example). Then of course we had the Civil War, and we were a good war city until we surrendered at the Battle of Mobile Bay. And nowadays you might know us to be the birthplace of Mardi Gras in the United States.
People oughta learn to stay
I know I made this joke
