Redd looked down in confusion.
The three little things were jumping around energetically and nibbing playfully at his hooves, leaving tiny little marks four-by-four in the snow as they went.
He never expected them to actually stay around after he’d kept them warm last night, but ever since waking up, they’d simply refused to leave him alone.
They spoke in a strange, japping language and their teeth stung sharply, but there was just something about them... He couldn’t just leave them here, his heart told him that’d be wrong. Also, if he moved they moved with him, so leaving them was out of the question anyway.
He sighed as he leaned his head down, slight distress imprinted on his face as he spoke.
“L-listen, I... I can’t keep you guys, you kn-know that, right?...” One of them japped in glee and bit his nose softly.
He sighed again.
“I’m not your m-mother!...” He exclaimed in a slightly raised voice, just as the two others sunk their sharp, little teeth into his one ear, tugging softly and playfully as if trying to turn him over.
“H-hey, that hurts...” He mumbled lowly, though he could not bare to move his head. He shook it gently to get them off.
“Listen.” He said, straightening up again.
“You gotta g-go back home. Y-your real mom is probably looking for y-you!” the three just tilted their heads simultaneously, sitting in a straight line as they did, looking like a perfect mirror image of the next one.
This did not amuse Redd, not one bit.
What was he going to do with these little... young things? – He assumed they were some kind of fawn from another species. He didn’t know how to take care of them, he couldn’t even feed them!
“Look, I’m not even a doe! I c-can’t give you milk!...” He said with a slight blush beneath the fur on his face. He’d only just entered adulthood and the subject of does and fawns and all such things was still a little sensitive to him. But the three... fawn-thingies just tilted their heads to the other side, looking utterly un-comprehending.
Redd gave a distressed, little sound and bent down to level with them yet again... only to be immediately attacked by them so suddenly, even, that he toppled over on the side with a small, slightly shrill squeak.
The fawns only found this highly amusing as they immediately attempted to crawl onto his back, one of them succeeding using its sharp little teeth and claws, which would have stung more, had Redd not had his thick winter-coat. He gave a futile, protesting noise as the two others followed quickly, landing all of them in biting-distance of his soft, sensitive ears.
And bite they did, making Redd give yet another squeak of pain, flicking his ears out of the way.
“stop that!” He protested, though the three wouldn’t listen and only happily continued their mayhem on his back, making chills run down his spine.
“I-if you don’t s-stop it, I’m gonna stand up!” He tried to threaten, making them listen for exactly one second... before going right back to what they were doing before.
Another distressed sigh-squeak.
“A-alright, y-you asked for it!” And, standing up (gently), he received three loud, startled japs and 12 pointy claws into his back, making him cringe in pain, which passed surprisingly quickly. He was, after all, used to minor stings and bumps, being related to Raleigh...
He frowned and looked back at the three, who’d gone quiet and still, looking at him with huge, round, blue eyes surrounded by brown-ish fur.
“Alright, alright...” He pouted, suddenly getting an idea.
-if they stay there, maybe I can find someone who can take care of them!
someone with udders...
He thought, starting a gentle trot slowly.
“Hang on, y-you guys...” He mumbled softly, still looking at them as he took the first steps, making sure they wouldn’t fall off.
And they didn’t!
They clung to his back with both teeth and claws and as he walked, one of them worked its way up his neck to bite his poor ears again, though he couldn’t flick it away, that would make the fawn fall... So he sighed and let it have its fun... for now!
“Alright, you can bite m-my ear, just... just d-don’t make a habit out of it...”
-now... where to find a pregnant doe or one with fawns of her own to give them milk?...
He thought as he began the search for a suitable mother.
Just my personal take on a Christmas-story to keep you guys entertained and... you shape it! It's RP-open!
So, now Redd is looking for a doe with fawns of her own or the like, so the cubs can get some milk. Please help him out and help me continue the story~
--------------------------EDIT!----------------------------
Just a few facts on this:
I'll keep the RP open for... as long as it takes to get a good part of the story down, then I'll close it and create a new entry with a new part of the story and a new picture, featuring the people I RP'd with in the previous blog. So if you want to be in the picture, jump right in and join us in the RP >w<
If I don't get any RPers, I'll just write the story following a pre-set storyline with guest-appearances.
In any case, this is my present to the community, so stay tuned for more art and story and most of all: Have fun!~

Making Redd feel extremely
Uncomfortable, he shifted his leg slightly, getting it out of the mouth of the fawn.
"Oh, I s-see... B-but I've just... just never heard of c-c-creatures eating meat..." He said, afraid that he might expose himself as a simpleton for not knowing something that seemed like basic knowledge for Loreena.
she chuckles ''have you never
Making him frown and briefly
"I t-think I've heard of her..." He says thoughtfully, recalling his brother's slightly annoyed expression as he spoke of her... though being who he is, Redd remembered, he decided to try and charm her anyway. Figures.
''can be, she want to eat
"Eat him?!" Redd exclaims,
''Haunted is a soul eater but
Though this makes Redd frown
"Have you met him?..." He asks, not being able to believe that ANYONE who's met Raleigh could think there was still hope for him.
