I sent Toukan to it. He was granted a day with no leg problems just for the occasion. =]

I caught something...freaky...while the first danceline was forming. Just...uh, yea... |D Stretchy peacock is stretchy.
Despite the lag, I had an awesome time. Even danced to the Macarena in my seat. XD;
I was a dedicated dork who stayed the whole time and was even last one dancing. |D; Was good to see an appearance from Faris though. ;D Recognized his set.
Courtly entertainment which also hid his identity? He so had to be there. Had my machine not refused to work with me, he would have stayed longer and I would have made a proper "coming back" post for him, reffering to him, ala classical Arthurian romances, as "the knight," or maybe even "the knight of the ball."
Of course, my machine crapped out and ruined my mood.
...Now I'm going to think of another fun way to bring him back in proper style... I suppose I could just do a post saying he's questing here again, but that's a little dull.
My ideas so far are:
a quest, which I wouldn't know how to plot out or arrange, since there's not much one can really quest for in the forest...
my second idea is a flower-sparring tournament, which is much more arrangable, and may be my option.
I think this was also a problem with Faris originally. I'm never online with him when there's a lady in need of saving, and I'm not confident enough to arrange that sort of thing, so there's not a whole lot for a knight to do, that I can think of. I think originally that was the joke, but he's become more serious in my head.
There's more to being a knight than saving damsels in distress.

His heart knows only virtue
His blade defends the helpless
His might upholds the weak
His word speaks only truth
His wrath undoes the wicked"

I think you miss my point. My point is that when it comes to rising to challenges, or defending the helpless, or serving a fair lady, or serving his liege, or defeating evil, or finding sacred objects, or doing impossible tasks... there's not a whole lot of opportunity that I ever come across. It's kind of like how Krym has super-strength, but there's no point in it, because no deer can actually physically interact with something. Sure, Faris's knightly quests could be side-notes, or text bits...but then what's the point of having him as a character in the forest to begin with?
Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I admit I'm starting to get a little anxious. I need to do some serious brainstorming to fix this, but no one's online to chat right now, so I'm kind of flummoxed. I need a good way of expressing the knightly nature of the character in-forest that doesn't rely on luck, which is tricky. It's probably not even as hard as I'm thinking, but for some reason this is quite an obstacle for me in this format tonight.
Also, the main classical knightly stories are primarily romances or evolved from romances, so actually...defending or serving ladies does seem to take up the bulk of a knight's actions, classically speaking. Gawain is maybe the only major knight of Arthur's court who's A, not a total jerk like Kay is in the romances, and B, has a major source in which he isn't concerned with a lady as a key component of his questing. Tristam is built on romantic ideals, as is Lancelot. Perceval dabbles in lady-serving. Gareth's main story is showing off how awesome he is by putting up with a whiny girl and doing what she says for a while, then doing a bunch of other stuff for her sister because wuv. I would argue maybe Galahad, but that's because he serves a master other than courtliness.
@gloryofdeerforever: It was sliding by like that, slowly "melting" into a normal deer as it did. o_o I freaked out before I figured out it was in the pattern of the peacock set and thus was a deer. |D
Actually, you probably could -- I really don't need much for brainstorming, just someone to chat at to act as a sounding board/ be my Alvin and the Chipmunks version of Watson.
@Seed: Well, you can if you want, but right now I'm just staying awake long enough for if my sister comes home. |D Then I'll pass out.
@gloryofdeerforever: Nah, I think it was a glitch caused by the extreme lag. |D Or it's proof that everyone is underground to you/you're above everyone else when you start up TEF.
I so regret missing most of
