Lilly slept curled up by the elder oak sleeping peacefully the pale dawn light turning her blue chest a sky blue her long brown mask showing a little and her butifule down antlers glinting as the soft morning rays hit them as she dreamed about meeting another deer and finally making a new friend. The dream made her smile and fidget but she did not wake despite the moos and bellows of the outher deer in the endless forest. Finally Lilly woke up and lifted herself to her feet and streched giving a big yawn-"-Sigh- What a butifule day!" Lilly sead happily as she then urned to go off and graze in the fields of the magnificent forest that she was proud to call her home. And as Lilly just began grazing an angry buck came out of the trees and befor Lilly could react he slammed into her side nocking her over nocking the breath out of her she looked up at the buck who was now laghing at her as tears swelled in Lillys blue eyes and she cowered tears streaming down her cheeks as the buck then lowered his head again as if to ram her again she managed to let out a loued bleet for help as the buck lowered his head and took aim at the doe who lay cowering on the ground tears streaming from her eyes.
"Hehe Say youre prayers doe!
The doe watched, eyes growing
The thud of muscle-against-muscle was low, like a sack of flour being dropped, but the sound of the stag losing his balance and hitting the ground made up for that. Poplar glared down at him and snorted, stomping her foot again. A threat. Her eyes seemed to lack any emotion except pure contempt.
"You think picking on does is fun?" The question was simple.
The errant stag rose again, glaring at Poplar and examining the fact that she was a good few inches smaller than he was. He could easily harm her, but she had somehow knocked him over. A rueful smile broke over his muzzle before he lunged at the newcomer this time. He wasn't prepared to see her hop to the side to dodge him. A flash of white passed his eyes, sending him in to a rage like a bull after a matador. Giggling, she coerced him in to following her... then sent him careening in to a tree.
The buck's antlers were embedded deep in the trunk of the pine, sap beginning to leak from the holes that encased the bulk of his sharp tines. Poplar just laughed, giving him a quick nip to the hindquarters before making her way over to the injured doe.
"Come on, get up. We have to get out of here before Mr. Grumpy-Tines over there gets loose."
The creaking noise of the buck's antlers pulling free caused a small panic in Poplar, and she shoved at the other doe to get her up. Her antlerless head nudged until she did finally help the doe to reach her feet and offered support for her to lean against.
"Makuso!" The doe hollered in to the trees. She had been resting with a big brute not far off when she had heard the commotion, and came alone to investigate. Now, as she watched the angry stag wrench his tines free, she really needed some help. He wasn't likely to fall for the trick again, and she had to protect the other doe.
"Thank you so much!" Lilly
((Haha he is not gone yet...

Makuso was stirring
"Makuso!" Poplar's voice echoed.
"Poplar.." He whispered and dug his hind hooves into the ground for quick acceleration, even with his massive antlers; his speed did not waver. His muscles tensing and releasing with each thump of his hooves against the earth.
The trees did frustrate Makuso, since it did slow him down slightly to avoid not impaling his antlers into their stem. However, he could sense that he was getting closer to Poplar with every step he took.
"You better not die on me!" His voice rumbled with fury as he finally broke into an opening; seeing an unfamiliar doe cowering behind Poplar. She was alive and not injured as far as he could see, this allowed him to release his held breath and trotted over to her.
"Stupid doe, what were you thinking!?" He roared, immediately regretting his out burst. "Sorry, you had me worried sick." He mumbled.
Turning his attention towards the stag help bring back his focus. He glared though his mask; his red eyes burning with power and the need to crush Poplar's attacker.
"Vermin.." He snarled and charged with his blood horns at his offense- being large means less chance of missing and also more defense. Makuso's neck muscles were powerful from carrying the weight of his antlers, which allowed him to swing and ram without breaking a sweat- easily breaking the stag's horns.
This caused the stag to drop in shock and slight pain from the impact. Makuso stood there, debating if he should kill his victim.

"Mak? I think he learned his lesson!"
At the sound of Poplar's voice and the permission in her words, the small, angry stag rose to his hooves and skittered off like a scared dog. She was sure he wouldn't be back, or ever attacking does again for that matter. Pop tried to look Lilly over while still propping her up. Some gore-marks tore up one side, but other than that and bruising to her leg and body she seemed okay as far as the other doe could tell.
"You can relax now, he's gone. Makuso took care of that." She tried to calm the doe, keeping her words soft.
Makuso shook off what was
"Hmph, pathetic squirt." He muttered as he made his way over to Poplar's side; not making eye contact with the other doe, "I'm heading back to the pond, take care of the doe. I can't do anything for her anyway." Flicking his head towards the pond and began making his way back to wash and drink. Perhaps a nibble on pine cones.
Lilly nodded and started to

"I do not believe I was... though I don't remember being a fawn. Other deer have said I was one here, and there was no fire here, so no. I have almost always been in this forest." The doe replied curtly, her eyes curious before she stood on her hind legs to grip a pine cone to pull from a low branch. Dropping it next to a couple of others, the doe plopped herself down and nudged a couple of cones toward Lilly. She must be hungry after her whole ordeal with the stag.
"What would make you think that, anyway?" The doe asked, her curious nature getting the best of her. This doe seemed really intent on Poplar... why? Was she special? Everyone she met lately seemed intent on her. The doe just wondered why. She was just an ordinary deer, after all.
"Oh nothing........I just

He let his prescence be known, gingerly stepping into sight and turning his head frequently to look for things he might trip on. Being half-blind wasn't fun. He tried hard to contain the fit of laughter in him. "Endless forest fire!" he guffawed, nearly tripping on a tree stump in the process of him pacing around to try and contain his chuckles. "That never happened. Any fire usually dims out very quickly. The Gods don't allow their precious forest to be singed." He put special emphasis on the precious. It was true. Never had he heard of a fire that had significantly damaged the forest, or any other natural disaster, for the matter. When they did happen, it usually wasn't a fire, and if it was, it was only to a very specific, small area.
"Let me teach you something, sweetie. This forest is in a almost frozen state. Weather will sometimes happen, and the Gods will even come down in mortal forms to visit, but it's very unusual. They don't let the forest get harmed like that, though. Usually if a fire does break out it's because of a stupid deer with some sort of power. It never really spreads. Always gets put out before anyone gets hurt. Besides, I know Poplar. I knew her better before she...died. But still. There was never a fire. I would've known, and she would've told me. I was alive then, too."
He peered at Lilly. "Are you sure your mind isn't fabricating this and tricking you into thinking this happened?"

The doe cringed a little at his words before looking back to Lilly. She wondered what this doe was thinking, truly, because Wen knew what he was talking about and so did she. The forest did not even have night but once in a blue moon. The sun always shone, creating an environment of comfort and making shade an ever-precious commodity when one wanted someplace to sleep. Idly, the doe sniffed a flower as she waited for a reply from Lilly.

Wendingo gasped, making sure his mask wasn't broken. He scowled at the doe, opening his mouth to respond to her hurling a pine cone at him, but gave up. Not worth the trouble. Why did does have to be so emotional sometimes?
He turned to Poplar, trying to ignore the blunt pain from the pine cone. "Sorry. I'm not good at responding to anything that sounds ridiculous."
He shook his head as if trying to shake off his new sore.
