Fire cannot be quenched with flames,
Violence cannot be fought with fury,
If we are to overcome the anger,
And halt the bloodshed,
We must calm them.
She awoke, only to realise slowly that the air was cold and damp. Hazel eyes fluttered open, and the brown doe raised her head and looked out at the Forest. Fog rolled and swirled around, leaves twirled close to the forest floor in the breezes that whistled between the trees. Taliene rose gracefully to her hooves, stepped out of her 'sleeping location', and looked back at it sadly. Gehirn... she thought wistfully, lowering her head a little. However, a sudden moo caught her attention; a fawn's moo. She pricked her black-tipped ears up in surprise, listening intently. The bellow sounded again; frightened, this time. Taliene's hazel eyes widened in shock and before she knew what she was doing, her long legs were carrying her through the Forest, on and on and on, until they finally allowed her to stop in the middle of the Birch Forest. The fog made it difficult to see more than several yards ahead, but she did not need to see to know what was happening; the clashes of hoof and antler were clear as crystal in the air. Quivering, Taliene darted forwards, shocked by what she was seeing - Walter, Lady Bones and an unknown deer...fighting Walter! Three against one! A fawn fled the scene and Taliene wanted to follow, but she could not leave Walter like this. Forcing herself inbetween everyone, she reared up, forcing the deer to move back. Walter backed away, and the other three did so too. The masked doe stood between the two groups -- though Walter did not have a group -- and hung her head before trotting to Walter and cautiously rubbing her neck against his. She stepped back quickly, afraid he would lose his temper with her, but he did not. Instead, the magpie-pelted stag nuzzled her in return, looking thoroughly miserable. Taliene turned her head - Virgil and the others had disappeared into the distance. With a sigh of relief, the doe gestured to the older stag to follow her, and began to walk. Whether or not he obeyed was his choice, not hers; it was not an order, but a request. Her pace was easy and slow, and when she turned her head, Walter was beside her, if slightly behind. A small smile formed underneath Taliene's mask as they wandered the Birch Forest, Walter's temper calming a little, while Taliene's fear subsided. Taliene hummed softly to herself, hoping that even her presence might calm Walter.

So yeah :3 I'd write what happened after this, but I can't be bothered xD Ffff, this is so pointless.
It is not! I love that
And short stories are fun, Talien is really the right person to calm Walter I think. Her peaceful nature could mean a lot for the upcoming era of the forest. :3
To pray is to believe, to believe is to purify one's soul
To pray is to believe, to believe is to purify one's soul
Baw, thankyou :3 I love that
|D Lol she'll soon be the only peaceful doe left in a forest of "IMGONNAKEELU" deer.
