Ugh I know, no one has any taste on this side of the 'pond'. Saw on there site just today that the new album was number one on the metal charts... in Europe.
There's only been one other instance that I've encountered someone who knew about them, if you could call it that. Someone drives past me in the college parking lot with their windows down and I could hear a second or two of the ending riff from The Haunting. I wanted to chase them down shouting something about not being alone. XD
Yeah, I was obsessed pretty bad before Khan left. ;-;
Yeah, it's so sad. Where has all the good music gone? Sometimes I'll be listening to one of my songs, and I just start crying in my head: What happened to music?!
Of course, they're still good artists today; I just happen to like different types of rock. I've listened to so much of that that when modern music comes on, I find it unbearable. XD
And as for what I've listened to recently: Come Together, by The Beatles 8D
Yeah, I need music with lyrics I can contemplate, something with a deeper meaning that 'let's all go party!'
Rock is just the best for that, all there is too it. XD
But yeah, I worked at Subway for a short period of time last year and thought I was going to hurt someone if the played Rolling in the Deep even one more time...
I think Adele is one of artists today that actually deserves to be as popular as she is. She has a great voice, and some of her songs actually have meaning.
It seems like a lot of songs today are either about partying or silly teenage breakups XD not to insult anyone who likes that. Of course, there are rock songs about love too, like Save Me, by Queen. But they actually have real meaning, at least in my view.
Sometimes it seems like every song today starts with the worda "When I walk into the club...." |D
Songs listened to recently: Imagine, by John Lennon.
