Mm, my watercolors came in.~
Unfortunately, I'm now at my dad's house, which means I don't have access to a scanner. Hm. :<

Oh, I've done the whole photo thing before -- for many months, actually. Problem is, my dear old camera broke almost a year ago and of course I haven't gotten a new one yet. The best think I have to take pictures with is a webcam, but...

Oh, bugger it. Here goes.



Amused Queze, pitifully undersized. I plan to blow this up a bit with a copier when I get a chance, then trace the bigger version.. and of course, fix the feathers. Terribly.



Hiding Kinsha, pitifully un-detailed. Um.



Laphis A, drawn first. I got a bit carried away with the shading. The sketchy old key antlers are there because I didn't exactly feel up to the stag ones, and it looked really weird with nothing.



Buddhist lecture Laphis, drawn just now. I did it while listening to Forest noises and this. The verdict's still out on how much I like it.



...Because come on, man, it's a webcam.

Yeah, I was going for the sort of Quamar-style graceful tiny feet thing (*loljealousy*) but I think I sort of failed at it.

But, uh.

Feels like it's easier to draw my own deer than other people's for some reason. But since I'll be listening to more hour-long lectures every night and can't really do anything but draw in the meantime (anything else would be a distraction, and even drawing would almost be if it weren't a bit repetitive) I'll be doing it a lot more.

Forced action! Yes! In your ***ing face, summer ennui. >:U

Heh, I'm starting uni this year, so I'll probably have a lot to look forward to. xD But this is just something my boyfriend used to do that I decided to try too, in an effort to cure myself of some mild mood-swinging problems, and it's actually really cool. The guy, Ajahn Brahm, is super smart, surprisingly funny, and fracking adorable. I dunno, he's the sort of person you just like right away, at least for me.

SO YEAH JAY TIME. 8D And just so you know, Queze has been the most annoying by far. >.> |D

See, that's what I mean by being not nearly done. No scales. Nothing. It's too small for that, sadly D: ...for now. But still, thank you!

(My scanner is also my copier, by the way, so I won't get to fullsize him for a while. I'll be going back in about a week and a half, if all goes well.)

I dug out my six-year-old sketch pad last night, ripped all the six-year-old crap out of it, and then that's what I used. So yeah, he's a bit bigger than he would be on normal-sized paper, and I think it shows. I'll be using this from now on. ^-^

I actually left the house today, for various reasons, so I took the opportunity to go to my mom's and pick up my watercolor set. It's tiny, and I love it, but I'm also sort of scared to use it. So I haven't yet.

I drew another Queze the night before last; this time in sort of a feral hunterish pose that I'm too lazy and tired to take a picture of right now.

So yeah. Have been getting caught up in some things, and also going to bed progressively later every night on average. Once I actually summon the gonads to unwrap my little pigment squares and have at them, I'll update with pikchurs.

I'm so sorry D:

I got hired at Barnes & Noble not too long ago, and my first day was last Thursday. So I've been really busy with work stuff, school stuff, and car stuff -- too busy to watch lectures, so I haven't been drawing either.

Also, I'm scared of the watercolors. .____.

I dunno, there's something really intimidating about them. And I've also been in a bit of a creative slump for the past month, so I didn't want to have the first thing I painted with them turn out horrible. So I kept telling myself that none of the drawings are finished enough. But yeah.

I think that's like three excuses so far. x_x

Anyway, I'm back at my mom's house for now, so I have access to the scanner again, but my sketchbook is still at my dad's. Ugh.

Haven't been on the forums or in the forest for a week or so, except when the screensaver happened to kick in...
it's been stressful. I don't think I could explain exactly why apart from being busy (and it'd probably sound really stupid even if I could), but regardless, now that I'm back here I'll probably be a lot more productive.
