This is really old book and the language is pretty weird, even for me.
I see there is a lot of pages is missing and they all mixed up so I hardly can find the narration's thread.
Briefly, this story is about Stag-beetle (dunno if i translated it right), that think he is a real deer, but under some spell. He meet the Noble stag and ask him for help, to become Big and Nobel as well.
And they start a long journey, with a lot of adventures (you can see it in pictures).

I think they look older cause of the book itself - don't forget, it's old and I don't think it was ceep in a safe for all this time.
Also, it was scanned, and not very good, so the quality could be reduced even more. =/

Yeah, you´re right about the quality too... I´d hope to see the images in better quality, but couldn´t find atleast with google. Anyway, they´re beautiful even like this, the old feeling in them kind of makes them appeal instead of taking it away in my opinion.
