Care to hear a story?
Very well then.
Come sit with me.
I will tell you of two deer I once knew.
A long time ago on a midsummer's evening, with crickets chirping and the sun slowly sinking, a fawn was born, just the same as all fawns are born. Her mother licked her clean and nuzzled her little face, smiling with the same proud smile that all mothers will smile when they bear their first fawn.
She was named Delilah, and given the surname Cherise. Her father was nowhere to be found. He was not needed. He had been gone a long time after betraying Delilah's mother in the worst way possible. He was gone, vanished with another doe.
But as fate would have it, the very doe that had replaced Delilah's mother in the stag's heart, bore a fawn just one week after little Delilah was born.
And like the other mother, she smiled proudly and licked her newborn fawn clean.
The fawn was a female, and named Zukra. She was given the surname Jean. Zukra Jean.
The father left that same night.
What was this mysterious, cheating stag's agenda, you might ask, and who was he anyway?
He was a smallish stag. He had little muscle to him. His antlers were curved and golden, and his fur was a pale, pale grey. The stag let his face remain untouched by Forest magic.
And it stayed that way, for after both of his children were born, he was never seen again.
His previous mates never spoke his name. They refused to discuss him with their children.
The does went by the names of Cherise and Jean.
Delilah and her younger half-sister Zukra grew up in the Forest as any fawn would grow up in the Forest. They spent their days making friends and exploring the Forest, straying from their mothers and learning everything they could.
And then one day, they found eachother.
Both of these young fawns had deep blue eyes.
Identical blue eyes.
The eyes of their father.
After becoming close friends they introduced eachother to their mothers, and when the two does locked gazes, they knew.
They knew.
And they fought.
The fawns fled together.
It's unclear as to what exactly happened that night. Neither Delilah nor Zukra ever saw their mothers again, but strangely, neither of them were really affected by it. After all, at such a young age it is difficult to comprehend, and becomes easier to overcome.
The two does remain in the Forest, close as ever, and now aware of the truth about their families. They still, however, know nothing of their father. Who was he, why did he do the things he did, and where is he now?

Okay this is SHIT but I really can't be bothered writing right now xD; It's just a way for me to get ideas on Zukra and Delilah's histories out ffff. But it'll probably change and such :U Bah.
This is not shit. D8
It almost reads like a fairy tale. Or a toned-down Grimm's story. |D
