So, I know a couple of popular DA artists that play this game. Well I graduated college and have a bit of free time until my summer job and so I decided to check it out. I love it so far, but had some questions about the intricacies of the game.
When designing your deer, you have to have someone cast the spell on you, correct? So if there is a specific pelt/antlers/etc you want do you ask someone for it? Then do you give someone to them in return?
Secondly, I'm assuming we can be as creative as we want about our characters background right? I'm still trying to think of a name and concept for my deer x)
As for the character blog/diary entries what do you generally include in those?
Lastly, I'd love a friend haha. I've had some fun interactions today, but it is hard to know if we can be friends and meet up again.
Wonderful to know you TEF!
Hello and welcome! NOBODY
NOBODY NINJA ON ME I GOT THIS
Question 1, What I will do is I'll have my deer "ask" them for a certain spell (for example, if I want a pelt for them, I'll have my deer paw at a sleeping deer) and once you get the one you want, you save your set. Usually after getting the appearance they want, the deer will play together c:
2, As creative as you want, yes! We looove creative folks 'round these parts c:
3, Hmm.. for a character blog, or a biography, you include whatever you'd like. It can be as long or as short as you like, and typically it will have the outward basics of a character (sex, gender, species, etc.) as well as their personality and maybe a little about their history. Whatever you'd like to include, really. There is no set format for it, but you can certainly look around for ideas.
4, I'm not able to get into TEF recently, but I'll certainly have my deer keep an eye out for yours if I get the chance!
Anything still fuzzy?
Welcome to TEF! c: Please
Please don't hesitate to ask for set help! A lot of people are really nice and helpful about that, you just need to make sure to give them a picture or link of your picto and maybe the area you'll be in~ c:
Generally in character blogs/bios, people usually just make a simple (or not so simple) skeleton of their characters basic info - i.e: Name, picto, set, images etc. And then usually use different sections to flesh out their character in more in depth detail. You can take a look through blogs and see for yourself! Although, you don't have to of course. c:
(PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING FISH SAID LOL)
Hope to run into you in the forest some time!
adorable art by Tuoho! ♥
*Edit* Pooey :/ I was third?
1. No, most of the time people won't ask for anything in return Usually, the castee thanks the caster, and sometimes they'll jump around all happy and whatnot, but no, no return gift is required for spell-casting.
2. Well, usually there will be several sections or tabs. The most common would be "Basics", which would include the character's name/gender/age/species/whatever. Then, there are some "In-Depth" or "Appearance/Personality" sections, where one would describe the character in-depth. Then, there are "Relationships", describing the character's relationships with other characters, and lastly, sometimes there is an "Art" section, and well...you can probably guess what that's for xD
3. I'd love for your character(s) to meet my Caden! He's the blue fella in my sig. Just let me know what your picto looks like! You can find out by entering the username into the url here: tale-of-tales.com/TheEndlessForest/register/pictogram.php?username=
Making friends can be quite easy. Just be involved in the community, rp, track many bios, and participate in whatever events there might be! Giving away free character art (taking requests) is also a great way to become known!
~Hope this helped
