Well I figured it was about time I just...posted something OTHER than a help request. xD I thought I'd just go ahead and introduce myself since this blog is much more active than I thought (seriously so grateful for that!)
My name is Aspen and I'm 21 years old. No, I don't mind giving my name away online because in all honesty, there are probably other people with that name. So you can go ahead and call me by my real name, rather than user.
I'm really interested in different cultures, specifically the Japanese culture, but I have broadened my interests to other countries. My interest in different cultures, languages, and countries has lead me to travel to Japan, I've lived in Hong Kong (learned how to speak Cantonese), and I soon will be visiting a dear friend in Germany. But I don't want to stop there. I want to travel more!
Another one of my interests would be anime. And before you say anything, no my interest in Japan is NOT only the anime. I'll admit that anime introduced me to Japan, but I totally see the two as separate things. One particular anime that I've really been into for quite some time now is Hetalia, but I am interested in other shorter ones like Angel Beats and The Devil is a Part-Timer.
And if you aren't interested in anime at all, I don't care. =) I'll like you anyways. My mom dislikes anime, but she's my best friend. People have their different tastes!
I also really love animals...though is that really a surprise since I've joined a community like this? I've actually always found deer to be so beautiful and magical looking. So it's cool that there's a game like this. =) That being said, however, my favorite animal is a horse. Just...thought I'd tell ya. o-o
Well I think that's enough about me. I'd love to meet new people! Don't be afraid to talk with me, I'd actually love it! =D
P.S. I also have a deviantArt account:
TheReapersApprentice. If you have a dA, too, go ahead and check me out! =D (Mostly Hetalia, but there are some photomanipulations not having to do with Hetalia there, too. =))
Why HALLOOO There! I will
I will tell you a little about me and my character My name is Cristin, I'm also 21 years old! Been in a long five year relationship with my highschool sweetheart, and I live in the USA. (There's nothing cool about US culture js...)
My favorite animal is also a horse, I'm actually in college to make a career out of it!! I live in a BIG horse city so there are horses everywhere around me. I'm not really interested in other cultures, but I feel you on the anime thing. I actually watching Naruto on Netflix right now. I know, I'm lame... >.>...
My character is Comen, his information is in the Biography below if you'd like to read about him! He's very friendly and likes company so come find me in the forest!!
Welcome to TEF !! ;v; I think
I think a lot of the community is interested in different cultures as the characters are soooo diverse here.
I'm into anthropology so I'm pretty into culture aswell, Japan is up there in my list of cool cultures but Hawaiian culture reaaaaally interests me.
I like anime too eveI hope you enjoy the forest~ You're free to interact with any of my characters they're all fairly chill I think aha.
Nice to meet you~! =D So
(Haha yeah xD I'm from the US, and have to agree that the culture here is kinda...blah ;w; )
Wah, lucky you~! It's been forever since I've ridden a horse. I've only ridden one since my horse died probably over 10 years ago. I really miss it.
Haha nothing lame about liking Naruto~! In fact, Naruto used to be my favorite anime...and then Hetalia came in. xD
I still haven't come up with a name for my deer. I really want to, but I also kind of want to be able to change my appearance...but I guess that's no reason not to give my deer an actually name.
*goes to check your deer's biography* Wow you've put a lot of thought into this character. =D I like it!
I feel like I might have come across your deer in the forest before...I'm not sure. o3o
Thank you~! That's so cool
That's so cool that you're into Hawaiian culture. I used to live there and when you do, you literally absorb the culture. It's been ages since I've lived there, but I still ache for it!
Nice to meet you~!
Ah, nice to meet you
Japanese culture is very interesting, not just the fluffy cultural stuff, but the nitty gritty, too. I'm slowly learning about it myself, but I find myself most compelled to look at and learn about their suburban architecture. I have a huge soft spot for metabolism architecture! One of my favorite things to do is take a virtual trip to different parts of Japan via Google Maps xP
That's really impressive that you know how to speak Cantonese! Good for you :> If somebody gave you a free two-way ticket to anywhere in the world, where would you go after Germany?
Nice to officially meet you,
Nice to officially meet you, too, Fish. =D
Haha that's so funny, I do that, too! (With the google maps) I just find Japan so fascinating. Almost everything about it. *.*
Oooh, good question. And though it's one of my favorites, it's also kind of a hard one. I've missed Japan so much and have always wanted to go back...but I don't know if I'd want that trip to be two ways. Haha! So maybe not Japan. Oh! Probably Italy...or Taiwan. I know I'll be going to Germany, but I won't be able to visit Italy while there. I've always wanted to go to Italy and eat all their food, haha! So I might choose Italy. =)
What about you?
*does a little dance because
I use to do it all the time at my previous job when I'd be reviewing recorded calls. People would come up behind me all the time and stare at one of monitors while they tried to figure out where in the world I was x)
Oh, Italy! Nice choice. I'm sure that if I ever got the chance to travel there, I'd be eating food the entire time.
It's a tie between Germany and Sweden. One of my cousins eloped to Germany and has a few kids now, and of course I haven't seen her since she ran off :') I'd like to be able to see her again, and our grandparents are from Germany, which adds to the appeal of visiting.
But Sweden..! It's such a beautiful country and the landscape has a great amount of variety. I haven't tried their food, but I've listened to a fair amount of Swedish bands and I just started reading a little bit about the culture. A good amount of folks here are from Sweden so there's that, too!
nice to meet you! i think
also if you like japanese culture you might like kerosene's character concept they have various ties influenced HEAVILY by shinto religion.
That's okay. xD I reply super
Haha how funny. xD Stuff like that is so fun, though.
Yep! Same here~!
Ooooh so cool. =D I'm super excited to go. Everyone tells me it's so beautiful there. You should definitely try saving up! It'd be even cooler since you have ancestry there. ^^
Ah yes. The Nordics. If I had to choose one country in Scandinavia to visit, it'd be Norway. 1) because one of my favorite horse breeds are from there (Fjord) and 2) because of Heritage. But I'd also love to go to Sweden. =) I've got some heritage from there, too. Either one is gorgeous!
Oh really? That's cool. =D
Oooh, that sounds pretty interesting. Sure I'll check it out.
And thank you! ^^
