Vilnius
Thump.Thump.Thump
Within the soft shadows of the forest, nestled withing the great roots of a tree the soft thrumming of heartbeats came.
His body nestled easily within them, a small pool forming beneath him now as the hearts nestled among the tines of his antlers continued pumping blood.
His mask, once a jet black orca's, was now thick with old blood and red, flaps hanging to the sides as if he wore some sick mockery of the whistling mask.
The stench of drying blood and decay rolled off of the creature in waves, stronger when he moved.
His eyes of amethyst remained wide, though he seemed to be relaxed.
----
Chopin
Dipping his head to scratch behind an ear, the composer paused.
And then, he began.
A soft rat-a-tat-tat as he drummed his hooves against the low rock of the playground, a small song, coupled with the singing of the birds and far off croakings of frogs.
His blue pelt seemed to shine, golden notes settled within the dark fur seeming to dance and flow as his lithe muscles rippled beneath the fur.
The bloodied stag turned his
"I do not think myself evil" he watched the smaller stag.
"nor do I think myself rightous" he stretched a bit.
"I merely do, what I believe, needs to happen...good, or bad"
he ficked his ears at the new voice, standing to lay near the spider queen, nervous? maybe even, scared?
"many shades" he stated with a smile.
"Red is a brilliant colour...the colour of love...of death...so many meanings to something so simple"
The queen watched the stag
"A nice name that is, but I know your true one. Darcy... right? Hmm, heard it a few times." She clicked and softened her gaze at the next visitor.
The creature's dark eyes
It settled, then, nestling comfortably against the warm curve of the tree's crawling root. It held no ill intent and its posture emanated a sense of sad ease. Those dark eyes blinked again, Do you mind.. if I stay a while?
Darcy barely heard the new
He shifted away, but the dark female voice stopped him, drawing his lids up and his gaze back out into reality. He started at her a moment at loss, then let his ears fall a bit. He smiled half heartedly.
“Darcy…yes. My mother hated me very much, you see. As far as hearing it…I wont venture to guess it was anything favorable so I wont inquire as to where…”
"Stay, as lng as you wish"
So sad.
He wondered faintly why.
Looking to Darcy again he smiled slowly.
"I do not know about my...friend..." he paused, not used to the word.
"But I judge not before my own eyes and ears have seen and heard" he flicked his tail.
"your heart beats fast"
His ears fanned forward at the sound.
"it is strong...you have a good heart"
Her pincers twitched and she
"I see...Sorry to hear that. I think it's a fine name," She clicked, no hint of mockery or spite in her tone this time. She blinked once and craned her head down, lapping once at the blood puddle before her.
She licked her lips and looked at the small creature by the tree roots.
Soft, dark eyes regarded the
The animal, not deer nor lapine, let its pale chin lower to the ground, long ears falling gently to the curve of its nape. Such polite company.. they seemed welcoming enough.
Silently, it waited its turn and lids fell half-mast. Soon, the afternoon would take its tole and sleep would catch up with the odd specimen..
“That’s a good policy” he
He glanced between them, shaking his head. He eyed the doe as she lapped at the blood, swallowing his disgust. No, he was not at all comfortable with the gore around him, as acquainted with it as he may be. He still dared go no closer to the four.
“You shall kill me with compliments the lot of you. Perhaps that is your true wickedness, eh?
She smiled at his words, and
She smiled at his words, and inched closer, stretching her neck out, her locks sliding down and covering her eyes almost entirely.
"You'd be surprised how true we "wicked" creatures are of our words," She said dryly. She craned her head back to its full height and 'tsk'd.'
"Pity," She said, her eyes cold. She swung her head away in a dramatic fashion, swinging more blood everywhere, and tapped at the puddle with a hoof.
The stag chuckled looking at
His ears tilted, smiling softly at it.
"You seem comfortable" he said slowly, looking to D again.
"I've never, gone back on my word" he shook himself, laying slightly upon his side, rolling his eyes, laughing shortly at Joro's actions and sending a small splash o blood at her.
Vilnius {X} The thrumming
{X}
The thrumming had caught his attention, those ears high upon his head as he listened to the beats passing by with each step. His movements seemed to be in motion to the beats...
Thump... Step... thump... step...
Slowly the stag walked along, his proud nature show in the royal way he seemed to take stride. Coming to the front of the Oak tree he stopped and casted those wicked red eyes inside. They were just a swirled mass of red, no true pupil visible. If one didn't look hard enough it would seem like those eyes had been clawed out by some random bird or something else. Really that was the first thing to notice, the rest would be the decayed body, half his jaws flesh was missing on both sides, the massive red antlers above his head a clear reminder of prehistoric deer in the past.
Slowly if ones gaze went down they would see the jet black fur broken by the crimson red of a thick heart... marking of course. You see, he had no heart... nothing... really, as one could see the bones that would spread like wildfire once the chest and neck was finished. Beyond was only bones... only small tufts of fur appeared past the legs and even then it wasn't much to begin with. The stag had nothing inside, no gut... no intestines... no... heart.
Moving and slowly making his way he kept those red eyes upon the other within, his interest quite big now.
"Music to ones ears... the sounds of hearts singing... you seem to have quite the collection."
The queen gasped and angrily
"Win," She hissed, proud of her comeback. She looked up at the next visitor, a familiar face. "S'up Aeron," She said, with the head nod and all.
"rubber and glue" he
He loked up upon the arrival of the next deer, tilting his head, looking at his chest.
The missing heart disturbed him slightly, irony, but it passed quickly.
"Someone else who appreciates such music is a welcome sight" he shifted a bit, closer to the Spider Queen.
"I thank you. It has taken many years, and many deals to gain them" he tilted his head, blinking his cold violet eyes slowly.
"it is strange" he admitted "To see one missing their heart, and knowing I did not take it"
“I don’t know about that…I
Footsteps. Darcy tensed and turned, pulling back his ears as he lay his eyes upon the approaching stag - the label, once again, loose in all appearances. He silenced himself and stared wearily at the grotesque creature. Normal - a word he often hesitated to use on himself - had never felt so painful as now.
A brown ear twitched slightly
[I can't type anymore.. I have a headache and I'm feeling tired an ill. Goodnight..]
"When one is the devil one
The stag let out and his attention would turn to the queen that the stag so desperately clung to. Those eyes held a misery in them that was hard to tell what it was coming from. Really, the proud... noble stag rarely showed misery to anything much less anyone.
However, it quickly was cleared up by an emotionless expression as he returned his attention to the stag "Good day Lady Spider..." He would mutter out as he sighed deeply, with what lungs no one knew.
"Deals... deals with the souls and devils and stupid I'm guessing." Aeron would look to the other before just taking his own seat from the distance. No use getting close... he was never accepting of being close. Even with one he knew around.
"Indeed they would. I haven't
She looked up at Aeron and tapped a hoof on the opposite side of her, motioning for him to sit.
He didn't seem intent on getting close, so she sighed and splashed Vilnius again.
"Deals with those who desire
But also
Deals with the lonely, the broken hearted, and the depressed. Whom I showed mercy too, and came to the aid of"
He looked to the butterfly pelted stag, listening once more to his heartbeat.
"You seem sick little one" he shook his head.
Once more he turned his head to the skeleton stag, blinking slowly at him, calmly.
However when he was splashed he looked slowly to Joro.
"Asked for it"
he slapped a leg into the puddle, splashing her back once again, shaking his head, sending blood from the hearts upon his tines splattering about.
She shut her eyes and mouth
She sprouted a second set of arms and sent a tsunami at her opponent.
"Funny. I could say the same thing," She said as she broke into laughter and rolled onto her side.
He'd seen the movement...
"Gluttony..." Slowly those skeletal legs would raise the skeletal beast there as he seemed lost in a world for a moment, walking... pacing, back and forth slowly.
"Greed... Wrath... Heresy... Violence... Fraud and Treachery..." That gaze turned towards Joro for a moment as he shifted and sighed deeper still "The circles... do you know of which ones I speak of?"
She twitched an ear and
"Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Wrath, Heresy, Violence, Fraud and Treachery..."She clicked. Pausing and tilting her head curiously at her friend.
The smell of rotting filled
As fascinating as he found the scene and as eager as he was to get to know the… obscene yet cordial beings before him, it appeared he was losing his grip and soon faced the embarrassment of tossing his lunch. Bother.
“Um…yes, eheh. Seems those berries are finally catching up to me. Ladies, Gents…do excuse me. I thank you for your company, and hope my departure doesn’t offend terribly. I wish to…continue our meeting some other time? With an empty stomach I hope.”
He chucked nervously, taking a step back and giving the one they called Aeron a bewildered look before bowing his goodnight. He soon turned away and disappeared into thick tree cover.
What a strange night. Wait till he told Row-…no, he couldn’t do that could he?…
The stag closed his eyes,
He looked up as the other stag spoke, ears perking in interest.
He recognized the sins, but that was all he had caught.
He looked up calmly, intense purple eyes locked on the stag though he glanced at D once more before looking back.
"She lies within the third,
Aeron seemed to be speaking of something, possibly... something only Joro would fully understand in general seeing as she knew of Catrin. Slowly he moved... pacing back and forth, uncomfortable clearly seen by his movements.
"The Judge of the Damned... the Judge of the Dead... Lord Minos... I killed him for her, to guide her to those bowels... she must do it ALONE because of me!"
There seemed to be a roar that came from that thick throat of his and the stag literally collapsed, slamming those thick red antlers into the ground almost repeatedly as he growled. Not really noticing the other fleeing into the cover of the trees as he did. Those bones rattling and quivering as he kept that thick face buried into the hard ground.
The Stag jumped up on
He was silent, unsure of what was going on, hearts in his tines pumping in fear.
He was, despite his appearence, a delicate deer, and while he could hold his own in a fight, he had already been injured in the last few days, and was not feeling his best.
With a head tilt he watched the larger stag, eyes holding a mix of cold curiousity and the look of a frightened fawn.

The queen jumped to her feet,
dragging his head to a more comfortable position, and proceeded to curl his legs up against him for when he should awaken again.
"Poor Aeron. He's having a tough time right now,"She murmered softly as she went back to her spot. She became very quiet.
((haiii did everyone have a good night's sleep?))
((indeed I did~ takk du for
The bloodied stag raised his head higher.
"I do not understand him" his ears pinned back "How one without a heart, can show so many emotions" his eyes softened, "It makes me worry, for those I hold the hearts of" he looked to Joro "That I am not upholding some of my deals"
She turned her gaze back to
"Aeron is very different...different in ways that I still don't know of entirely yet,"
It was all she could say. She hadn't known Aeron for very long.
The Surgeon nodded, Rising as
"I do not dislike the sun...you know" he shifted to the shadows.
"But it has an odd affect on the hearts...it...rots, them" he shuddered in disgust.
"Those that I have aqquired, seemed to have lost the ability to find light long ago" he smiled.
"Human hearts, most of these...all of them are delicate"
She chuckled quietly. "I
"I really should clean this off. I doubt the scent will disappear. Not for a long time..." She mumbled as she examined herself.
Close by and hardly awake,
Lazy eyes blinked at the others. It didn't seem intent on leaving any time soon, the lonesome beast. Hopefully the quiet thing wouldn't become a pest to them.

"I'll walk you there" he
"I enjoy it there, when there are not groups gathered...it feels nice to lay in the water" he shook himself, stretching sore muscles and cracking off plates of dried blood that would hinder his smooth movements.
One of the hearts upon his tines ceased beating.
He paused, then shook his head roughly, listening intently, sighing as it began beating once again.
He looked down at the rabbit-deer, smiling.
"As do I...and running water would be best for cleaning you, Joro" he looked down once more at the quiet lapine-deer.
He liked it, it was calm and quiet, the strange air of sadness a curiousity, and he enjoyed having it around.
feven.... Feven lifted her
Feven lifted her head up to see what racket was going on outside the thicket. she slowly rose up out of her grass bed and walked slowly and cautiousley outside. The sun blinded her as she stepped outside onto the stepping stones. Not being able to see, she tripped carelessly, landing on her face half way down the hill. SHe slowly raised her head up to see another deer standing before her.
Dont amaze people with looks, amaze them with your smarts.
She stood up, staggering
"This is ridiculous. I'm drenched in this mess and it doesn't bother me at all.
If you hadn't of suggested the idol's tears, I might've just let myself be blood-stained," She said, giggling to herself and sighing.
She slipped on the blood once again, collapsing. She groaned, giving up and began to crawl in the direction of the idol.
"Sometimes, I scare myself," She muttered.
((Feven, are you talking to

He moved to support her other shoulder, smiling at the Hare-Stag.
"It is a burden, to move while encrusted in ruby stone" and yet it was so beautiful.
The pretty things were always the most dangerous.
She accepted his help and
"Arachnids don't d-do well on wet su-UHHH-rfaces!" She started to slide and flattened her ears, digging her hooves in the ground. She spread her legs out, afraid to move.
"Thank you both," She muttered, too embarrassed to raise her head
"Well, now Im even more glad
Looking back at the familiar scent she said to him with big orb like eyes "Good morning....Am I interupting something?" Looking with a slight tilt to her head, she waited for an answer.

It paused, then, when addressed and stared quietly with its deep, black eyes at the new arrival.. such a dark doe, Yes, ma'am? Am I unwelcome..?

The bloodied stag trotted
"Of course not, my bones" he tilted his head, "you are mine, you are never inturrupting me" he looked at the hare and spider.
"merely...cleaning up..." he looked to the rabbit stag.
"that one interests me, sad seeming thing that he is" his ears pricked listening to the rabbit stag's heartbeat.
"but he is quiet, much quiet, I appreciate that" he rolled his eyes at the water, blood washing away in places to show the gold coat beneath efore it ran red with blood again.
[Oh dear, broke my coding.

She replied with bubbles surfacing the stream when Harefoot had joined her.
She took her head out of the water, nudging Harefoot at his question.
"No, you are most welcome,"
Ears percked at his voice ,
"As long as mine scent is fine with you then so am I....Your quiet: I appreciate that. Just dont come too close, I dislike when others get in my personal space..."
Her huge eyes focused on Harefoot as she examined his eyes.
The bloodied surgeon
He stretched a back leg bfore moving to flop down in the shadows, disliking the scent of his hearts fear as much as always.
He shook himself once more before laying, sending half dried spatters of blood flakes about.
"Nnn, need to dry off," The
