An attempt at drawing Iugulare on Sai. I had a difficult time with her anatomy, though, so I'm not very happy with the way it came out. But I suppose I could try again another time...
Since I'm still learning, any tips on anatomy are greatly appreciated. I originally drew her too large, but when I made her shorter I think now she's a little too round. Stoats are usually thinner than that...
For me, it really helped to learn how to lay down the head, spine, ribcage, and limb lines before I did anything else. I usually end up making the spine too long, but that's easy to fix once you get to doing the actual body shape.
I'm not familiar with a stoat's anatomy, but all mammals have a similar bone structure where the limbs are concerned, just in different proportions. Because of this, a lot of times your greatest reference will be your own body. Pay attention to which direction each of your joints bends, and you can usually figure out how a leg should go. I'll try to get some sketches thrown together real quick, but my tablet's a little weird right now because I don't have its drivers installed.
Google can be a wonderful source for references, but be careful what you put into the search bar xD Sometimes you get some uh... icky results if you use benign words like "anatomy."
Edit: Yep, tablet's being weird. It's usable enough for a really, really rough sketch, though. Anatomy's a little bit beyond my reach at the moment, but you can get the gist from them.
Bone structure comparison: (Labels correspond with human counterparts. If you can't read my handwriting, let me know xD It's pretty bad)
Laying down the bones and then adding a body shape:
The most important advice I have for you, though, is to never, ever, ever give up. If you keep trying, you WILL see improvement. Looks like you already have a good start here :3

It was mostly a problem with the back legs...
