Hey guys,
Need a little help with cutting out three images, and overlapping them to make a decent wallpaper.
If anyone can help me with this, I would be very grateful.
The three images are these:
Ghost of Christmas Past
Ghost of Christmas Present
Ghost of Christmas Future
In order from left to right. I would like these images cut out and re-sized so they are equal in height. Christmas Present may be a little short. I would like them slightly over-lapping eachother, and a dark/misty background. If it's possible to make it around standard wall-paper size that would help a great deal.
If you cut them all off at the knees, you can make them a bit opaque in shade, like they're actually spirits.
If it comes out to my satisfaction, I can give you $8 in Paypal, as a reward.
Thanks!
I could do it, I'm pretty
you don't have to pay...it's the holidays and it's something I can do easily x3
Holy cow! Wow, thanks
Sure, I can wait! Take your time, and expirament all you'd like! Thanks a lot!
The background doesn't have to be anything special, but make sure it has somewhat of a "ghostly" feel to it. THANKS!!! <3
awesome. Do you care how
Do you care how creepy it is? Because I can make it creepy or I can make it sort of neutral x3
Those pictures are awesome by the way.
Ffff, I don't care how creepy
I'm just hesitant because the definition of "creepy" varies between people--
Did you have anything in mind?
not really, just looking
i only say it because recetly I've been making things a little on the creepy side, but I defintely wouldn't make it halloween-esque. Just a ghostly quality to it.
I just wasn't sure which mood of the story you wanted brought out; the ghostly side or the cheery Christmasy side or a good balance.
I was going to aim for a balance and see what happens XD
And also, how would you like me to give it to you when I'm done? Upload it here, just give you a photobucket link in the comments or whatever?
Oh yeah sure! Bring on the
And same here! Creeped me out in a delightful way also, expecially as a kid. I gave the Ghost of Present a bit more color than the other two-- specifically FOR that Christmas-y feeling, maybe a neutral aura of light around her?
Other than that, I would much rather have the ghost feel to the picture than the Christmas-feel.
And sure! A photobucket link will work great! <3 Thanks a ton, take your time.
edit: Oh yes! By all means! Aim for the balance if you were already brain-storming it. I don't mind the artistic-license! Have fun with it!
OOOOOOOOH can i try!?

I gave this my standard treatment; fix shadows, adjust lighting, etc. But I tweaked parts of it for you ^-^
Also, the ghosts' pictures were a tad grainy, and I could've fixed it, but it would take a long time and a lot of tedious smudging...which my photoshop can't handle XD So I added a film grainy filter to the background and put a gradient on it to give it an old, fuzzy feel x3
I also added black bars to the top and bottom so that the taskbar won't cover it and there's some negative space to put folders. I also tested it out on my desktop background and it looks good.
I still have the original in Photoshop should you need me to go back in and change anything C:

Kimiko-- Thanks for the try
Phantom: My lord-- That is amazing!!
Yes, I was aware of the grainy-ness of the pictures, and the daylight in which these were shot, was fading quickly behind the trees, especially for the Past ghost, I had to tear off infinate layers of the ghost of Future and get the Past's clothing on, and it was sunset already. So I'm very VERY happy with the outcome given the shoddy materials to work with!
Oh, and I LOVE the lit candle, thank you for making the flame bigger, the wind was blowing also. XD
It looks excellent on my desktop, and my little sister is going to have a bird when she sees this!!
Thank you so so SO much, the entire thing captures the essence of the story, and I couldn't ask for more!
By the way, the more I think about it, it looks like a movie poster! I do hope there's some way I can repay you-- you may not want the little money I can give you now, but please let me know when I can give it to you! I can't let this go for such a wonderful job!
And, would you happen to have Deviantart?
May I have permission to submit this to my account Juniperfern?
You of course can do the same-- for credit my account name is (as above) Juniperfern, and my little sister is Kibasgirlygirl.
THANK YOUUUUU!!! 8D <3 <3 <3
@Kimiko - aww you flatter me
@Mystress - I am so very glad you like ^-^ The photos weren't that bad, I liked the poses and the costumes were awesome and there wasn't a bunch of crap for me to go around with the earaser...just a little bit of grain that I could easily remedy x3
Seriously, you don't have to do anything. It's Christmas, time for giving. Besides, awhile ago you gave me a wonderful picture of Lier that I never got to really show my appreciation for, well, now I have XD
I do indeed have a deviantArt: http://roselegend6.deviantart.com/
and you have my permission ^-^
Glad you like it and I hope your sister does as well! Happy Holidays! ~<3

I've given you credit on Deviantart-- and my sister and parents are floored by your skill! I hope you can make something of it one day! Thank you so much once more.

yes, I know exactly what you
Those "jagged" edges are stray "pixels". Pixels are...eh...hard for me to explain in a way that makes sense XD Let's see, they are the little dots that make up the image and tend to be a big pain in the bum when photo manipulating.
Usually, how I cut out images is with the eraser tool. I zoom in real close to the image and follow the outline until all of the stray pixels are gone, then I erase the rest of whatever else I don't need. Then I'm free to do whatever the heck I want with my new image. I try to avoid using any sort of selector tool unless I'm working with a nice clean vector or stuff that is already on a transparent background...and even then it's still not the greatest tool to use. the eraser usually works the best, though it is very tedious and requires a steady hand.
Hope that made sense ^^; you can ask me to clarify if that didn't work or I can go search for something that can do better than me x3
