I need help, please!

I recently downloaded TEF and have been playing it - alone. My problem is that I can't stay connected. I'm connected for only a moment or two and then that annoying orange dot pops up again. I don't see any deer anywhere - only my name icon. I have attempted to "run it as an administrator" but I think the problem is something else. Maybe security but I don't usually opperate on a PC. My main computer is a Mac. My brother has been kind enough to let me borrow his computer while he's away. Mind you my internet is not the best but it still has a decent connection. Could someone pleas help me?

Extra: I have actually connected three times and joined in with other deer. So, I don't know what's going on.

Checked that your firewall

Checked that your firewall isn't blocking the forest?
Also, to comment on the site, your display has to be the same as your username.

Wow, there is still so much

Wow, there is still so much I'm learning about this type of forum. Hopefully I did the name thing right.

Anyway, I changed the firewall settings to allow the Forest Viewer. Is there something I'm still missing? I still have the same problem, unfortunately.

I have already tried that. I'm actually going to try and uninstall it and re-upload it to this computer.

Haha, that must have worked! I didn't download the newer one but the older version. I spoke to my dad about our internet and he said that it wasn't "high speed" and that could be my problem. Probably is because the computer I'm on is a gaming computer. Anyway, it seems to be fixed and while I can't always see the name icon for other deer - or even my own. I'm not about to complain. Maybe others can see it. Not sure. I'm excited about playing now and hope to get my deer profile up before too long. I was kind of waiting for her to grow up.

She WILL have a human face though which is something else I'm pretty excited about.

Alright then... The problem

Alright then... The problem with the old version is that you can't see third generation pictograms properly. That won't affect how others see yours though. I'll keep my eyes open for you then, heh.
