How to get Mask Spells without Mushroom Trees

I'm sure most already know, but for those who don't, here's how you can get Mushroom Spells during flower changes.

1. Go into the game. Press Esc -> Network. Uncheck "Connect automatically".

2. Quit the game and restart it.

3. You won't be connected to the server automatically anymore. Press Esc -> Network and click "Connect"

4. When you're connected, the weather should be regular and the flowers won't appear and you can use Mushroom Trees. To everyone else it will look like you're nomming a flower. Sticking out tongue

I tried this a couple of

I tried this a couple of times with a friend, and neither of us could get it to work, so I think that it may have been amended since this was put up :c

Does anyone else have any ideas in terms of getting mask magic? Or will we literally have to wait until a whole other realtime season?

EDIT: I got this to work BUT it only worked for me if I added an extra step!

UNCHECK connect automatically
RELOAD GAME
FIND MUSHROOM TREE AND INTERRACT WITH IT FIRST eat mushrooms and such, even though it doesn't give you magic while disconnected
THEN go into the menu and reconnect! This should leave the trees as they are!
