To get a new deer pelt, you would have to find another deer player who knows how to cast forest magic. To obtain your Forest Magic, you would have to find a sleeping deer in the forest.
Sit right next to him/her, wait for a few seconds, and you will hear a chime effect. You get up, and a pelt icon will appear in your actions tab at the bottom of the screen. It will glow bright if you're close to another player.
If you're far away, it will have an X on it. By clicking on that pelt icon, your deer will cast the Forest Magic spell onto the other player, and his/her pelt will change.
You would have to ask someone, like me, who can help you change your deer avatar's pelt. I have friends who can help you find a perfect pelt that you would like.
If you're a fawn, the pelt would last for about 2 minutes until it disappears. The best way is to go to the options button located at the bottom left of your screen or press the ESC key.
Go to Network where you sign in to your account, at the bottom, click SAVE current deer appearance, and it will keep your pelt. If you lose it, you can click on LOAD previous deer appearance, and it will bring back your lost pelt.
Most new players will start as fawns in the game. If they played it for about 6 months, their deer avatars would become stags. Forest Magic sets are kept forever on stag players without losing them.
