Woah, this looks amazing! Bluebells are wonderful, do you get them over there too?
I love how textured your painting is! I can imagine a pleasent warm day to this. ^^
Fantastic anatomy, and I admire your understanding to light whilst at the same time not making the picture too smooth. It makes things stand out.
As marvellous as ever, Ephra. <3 And just a small update, I'll have your fan-theme ready soon! I have to do some assignment work this week so I haven't been able to get round to doing it. With any luck you'll see it by the end of this week.
Oh beautiful. For me it would be a place much like this, which was a photo I took in Llano, TX last year. I felt very enchanted by the area. I also would love to see old ancient ruins, they seem very beautiful to me when surrounded by overgrowth.
Vee - No bluebells where I live ): But they sure are beautiful when they cover the forest floor like that. Glad the texture works too, I wanted to create a space full of life and movement. Trying to get the impression of fluttering leaves and that sort of thing.
Verdy - Don't overburden yourself, eh I can't wait to hear it though.
Quad - I have an urge to hop from rock to rock.. It's so flat where I live that the smallest change in elevation is exciting lol
The rest - Thanks a lot! My deer's migrated back to her summer home here, so we'll see each other around. Of course she's just been sleeping so far while I was drawing, but I'm sure we'll be doing some proper frolicking soon.
This is simply gorgeous Ephra (: I love the detail on her head and her coat... she looks like she feels like a deer... you know, rough and almost prickly.
Your art always leaves me speechless.
Stunning. Truly stunning.
I love how easily you pulled off the foreshortening of her body. It's flawless!
I also adore the very collective color palette you used. 21 fits right in! The branches of the trees in the background are also gorgeously done. :] The small birds in the trees are also a lovely touch! Details like that are always fun to look for!
You never cease to amaze, that's for sure~ <3
Excellent work as always!
zm123 - You're welcome to tell about it if you like. I have a thing for dreamy idyllic places and I'd love to hear what sort of worlds other people retreat to
Dag - I feel kinda dumb for taking so long to realize that deer have coarse multicoloured hair , I don't know why that detail never stuck with me before At least she looks more like a wild animal now and not so smooth and groomed.
Shimmy - The foreshortening was a pain really. I haven't had much practice with frontal views, but it was a nice challenge. And yea I was being serenaded by treefulls of birds while I was drawing, so I figured I ought to include them too. I was going to stick in more critters but it was late- I like the idea of having the setting occupied by others besides the main figure though, it's something I've noticed I've been overlooking. I get stuck thinking 'background' but it's more than that. Something I'll hopefully improve with practice..
Thanks to all of you who commented or just had a look, and enjoy your spring! It's pretty much my favourite season.
Well, there is more of a this sort of wood, and there is a pretty marsh behind it, with pretty water plants~ ♥ And a big log laying ontop of the marsh ♥
It's a bit late to be commenting, but who cares? This image is gorgeous and I wish that I could just dive into it and live there. It's warm and welcoming to me.
