I'm afraid I don't know anything about Scape, idk who he/she is, but to walk on mushrooms you have to 'fly' and try your best to land on them.
How to fly is you go ontop of a hill and start to gallop full speed and start jumping and do NOT stop jumping. Once you reached where you wish to stay, press the 'esc' button and your deer will lay wherever in the air you pressed 'esc' on.
To stand up in the air, press the hot key that you have set to dance for, you won't be able to move anywhere but that's how you stand up in the air.
To get down from where you are laying/standing, just tell your deer to stand up regularly and your deer will then appear on the ground.
